Bigtime! I hope this is so successfull and liked that blizz adds that the followers can wear all gems s24 and we get the emulation from them. That would be really cool. Then we can mix and match as we like. Also add some more gear to the emulation list. This looks awsome as it is already. So happy with this change.
We really need that armory for the followers. For solo players who play a lot it will be less of a headache to actually make 2 or more characters for t16/GR farm/push :/

I went with an Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander instead of the Pig Sticker for my enchantress. It can still roll Atk Speed, plus you might get a random shrine effect while doing t16 or bounties. The new system makes solo farming more enjoyable.
I have one problem with the new system for the followers.I play D3 on the Switch Lite. When I'm rolling gear, there is no way to specify whether I'm rolling gear for the main character or the follower. So If 'm playing wizard my gear will roll with intelligence but if my follower is the scoundrel I'll need gear with dexterity. My only choice would be to reroll all his gear for dexterity or roll gear using a different, separate character that shares the same main stat as my scoundrel and transfer the gear from the seperate character to my primary character's scoundrel via the stash which seems rather cumbersome !
As i look back on this.. I feel like Focused Mind with Enchantress doesn't even work. There is no aura around her. Even if you select that skill and go near her, your attack speed does not increase. 🤔
NOTE: Maxroll incorrectly states- (Follower) "General Rules -You can change Follower Skills anytime (asides while being in a Greater Rift) but cannot unlearn them. -If you picked a skill you don't want, your only option is to make a new character." This is a confusing statement regarding skill choices. This is incorrect! You can change these skills by simply having and using a different 'relic'.. i.e. Templar Relics - Rare or Legendary: Hillenbrand's Training Sword, Enchanting Favor, Relic of Akarat. I was even able to change these skills w/o changing the Relic. An update to Maxroll is suggested
Is there any way to roll mainstat consistently on a follower that uses a different mainstat than my character does? for example using the templar while playing the firebird wizard in hardcore next season sounds like a good idea?
Or you could make it really expensive and use the arcanist to reroll the primary stat per say like you're playing thorn crusader but you want scoundrel for extra dps. Then you'd reroll strength on all of your drops to dexterity. Using up all of your precious dragon breath
What we really need is for items to just give "main stat" and change what stat it is on the fly based on who they're equipped to. That would solve the mess of trying to gear up followers that don't match the character's mainstat. And it would save a lot of wasted stash space.
Ie., in inventory or stash or enchant screen, a primal nemesis would have "mainstat 650". When you equip it to your Scoundrel it becomes Dex 650. When you equip it to an Enchantress it becomes Int 650. So no need to try to maintain a perfectly rolled one for each.
Very helpful video Raxx! When you said the enchantress doesn't work with cooldown did you mean that the diminishing returns on gear is so significant or do you really mean any cooldown on gear does literally NOTHING with the follower? Also has it always been this way because I've stacked cooldown for previous seasons? One more quick question does 2 piece crimsons do anything?

One question I still have is how to gear followers and which ones to use as you're leveling. We'll not really have the luxury of farming gear as we're leveling so which follower would be best to use in the initial climb to 70. Thanks!
They won't use their abilities more but they will apply more thunderfury procs, blind faith & cord of the sherma blind on hit procs etc. But only if you don't use cc yourself. Otherwise it can be detrimental.
Just hit rather easy HC 130 with GOD DH rolling Enchantress, seems to add most DPS, most reliable for procing trapped too when you don't want to get too close yourself.
Raxx, Rhykker suggested for GR scoundrel: buriza-Do Kyanon w/ lightning dam stone gauntlets (I think cain hands and ice climbers make more sense than these) wydward blind faith cord of the sherma Would scoundrel's blind, freeze, and stun be more efficient use of him for pushing? Or do you prefer to be in control of the monsters diminishing returns on CC (seeing as how you don't take the scoundrels 1st ability)? Good vid tho, I appreciate it!

Raxx, my main questions with followers are 1) does their gear swap with our armory sets, and 2) if I join a group, will I have to pull my nems off my follower or will they be in my stash?

I prefer Oculus Ring instead of Avarice band on my follower. It constantly puts the yellow field on the ground that increases your dmg by ~80% when standing in it. Also another follower weapon option is Azurewraith. Its attack speed is slightly slower than Pig Sticker (1.40 app vs PS's 1.50 aps), but its Legendary power is more useful - it radiates ~500% weapon dmg to all nearby enemies and sometimes tosses Undead and Demons into the air for some useful cc.
Honest question because I don't know. Part of the Seasonal Journey 1-4 is to fully equip a follower. Has the amount of items changed from the previous seasons? The past seasons we needed the relic, X2 rings, ammy + weapon. This season do we need to fully equip it with the new changes?
@Raxx so stash space was an issue with only our characters to worry about. Now we have to account for a couple of follower sets. Has Blizzard talked about increasing stash space?
Scoundrel: You don't like picking either of the first skills; What about builds that benefit from slow/stun to proc damage multipliers? With this in mind the Templar: Thunderfury w/ Wyrdward Ring would help proc as well. So my question is - Does Follower Slow/Stun proc OUR damage multipliers? ~ Thanks! Later Days!

Any preference as to the weapon employed on a scoundrel? i've tried the windforce for the extra knockback but i'm not sure if that's actually contributing to the amount of times a monster can be cc'd
dont understand why you dont use freeze of deflection and eun jang do on the templar, rift guardians are almost permanently frozen that way :) kredes flame on DH follower also works well
@@gotdangedcommiesitellyahwa6298 the reason i'm asking is because rend doesn't benefit from stuff like iceblink increased crit (as far as I could find). It tends to work only off off sheet crit. I imagine the cloud is an auto-crit debuff on the monsters, not a buff to your chance.
@@damijankhebal8932 Hmm, well the wording for it is "all attacks... inside the cloud will be critical hits". Which is why I assumed a manual cast would work, but rend has some unusual mechanics.
"The only leg gems that work on followers are esoteric and mut" Not true, Wudijo has pointed out that Enforcer on the player will give 90% DR on followers bc they count as pets 😊
Do all emanate items work on followers? The item that gives "unbreakable" doesn't seem to work, I have the item that prevents follower from dying. Does the follower have to be within a certain range to work?
gold wrap on followers for belt? outside of GR i mean where even w items that spawn gold (i think they dont work in grs right?) would make followers hella tanky potentially? or possible way to fit in to our builds for defense given the follower eminates multiple gold related things you want with it
Hi Raxx. I see sometimes when some of the good players are pushing high GRs that one (or more) of the followers skills are not set. What's up with that?
At what GR level will the follower die if you had to guess? Since Raxx says that in GR speeds the Enchantress will sur ive, but is it speed 75's, speed 100's
