I've been wanting a short bob haircut for the longest time, and the Bixie Cut is set to be the biggest hair trend of 2022, so today, my friends are going to help me achieve this chic style without even having to visit a hair salon ;)
Of course, it wouldn't be a Pretty Pastel Please hair video unless something went wrong, so naturally I end up cutting all my hair off by the end of the video and now I have a Pixie Cut!!!! What do you guys think?!

My jaw dropped when you revealed it styled and dressed up! The final cut is so flattering on you (although I did actually like the first cut attempt, it had potential), the dark contrast to the pastel wardrobe is super playful, and the blue/green fade of the color makes the more classic elegant style of the cut look a little modern and edgy too. Can’t wait to see what you do next, but in the meantime you look stunning!

When growing out color, I tend to dye a shade or two darker (than my natural color), then it fades and by the time I have roots, they match. ETA: the end result is absolutely adorable.

Medical wig wearer here from the UK! Some of the most well known brands for wigs is Jon Renau, Renee of Paris, Ellen Wille, Raquel Welch and Trendco. I am not sure whether these will be available in Australia but many of these are American companies so wouldn't surprise me if they are available. All of these companies do ranges of wigs from synthetic hair to human hair and usually start in the hundred pound range up into the thousands. These companies are on the pricier side as they are usually associated with medical wig wearers so are designed for long-term daily wear and are incredibly high quality. On the cheaper end, I know that Haircube are a popular brand available on Amazon. A lot of people say that for the price, Haircube is good quality. I can't attest to this as I personally have never purchased one but may be worth looking at if Haircube is available in Australia :-)

This would honestly be the best time to shave your head completely. Every women at some point in their life should experience how freeing it is. Doing this will completely reset your hair. Trying to grow out dyed hair can be frustrating because the damage starts to show in the growth with breakage and such.

Your pixie cut looks more like the bixie in the picture except that it's a bit shorter on the back. This really suits you , I love how the cut, the color ,the makeup and the outfit come together and give both edge and class . Always wear wig caps when you wear a wig even if your hair is short because the cap will prevent damage to your hair.

Idea: After your natural hair grows out to a moderate length to cut/style (for whichever style you'd like), get Paul Watts as your hairdresser! At least for the cut to get the dyed ends off, it'd be a fun collab to see! Also a great way to start your healthy hair journey!

Honestly, that girl IS NOT your friend. She ignored the cut you wanted and hacked your hair too short. Was reckless and endangered you. She was too rough with you… that was straight SABOTAGE. The hardest part about having a pixie cut is deciding to grow it out. I've had short hair since I was 12 years old and only in recent years have decided to grow it out. But every time, I am tempted to cut it. I always realize how much easier it is to have short hair. No frizz, no tangles. It's so hard to resist grabbing the scissors when I see my big balloon of frizzy hair every morning.

I agree, I’ve cut my hair to do pixie three times and then I see a long hairstyle I miss or French braids and decide I want to grow it out. Immediately forgetting that the reason I keep it short is cause I’m terrible about brushing it and am constantly getting knots at the crown of my head. Plus it’s definitely cheaper to get highlight with short thinned out thick hair.

Yesss I remember growing out the pixie I had my hair cut into when I bleach damaged it so bad I had no other option! Another nightmare to grow out is a side shave. I did that over the summer of 2019 and in October of 2020 I decided to grow it out. It didn't match the rest of my hair (which is shoulder length) until like a month ago.

What helped me figure out how to do a haircut without instructions is it's all about angles and elevation. If you use no elevation or angles it'll be a straight across cut. If you elevate, you'll get more drastic layers and texture the higher that elevation is. If you want to have your hair look like it goes a certain direction, using angles is your best friend. Use small sections, a comb, and sharpen your scissors well before you use them. 😉

I was going to, but we've had a crazy explosion of covid cases in Australia over the past month and I don't feel comfortable going and sitting in a hair salon. There are over 20,000 new cases a day in the state I live in and I don't want to risk my health for the sake of my hair :')

There are many hairdressers out there who work out of their homes or have single chair salons. You gather with friends (who see many other people before visiting with you) so a stand alone hairdresser isn’t any different.

Alys Flyer I’ve seen three friends this year, all of which have been in isolation/lockdown as well. Our friend group takes Covid VERY seriously. We all work from home, get our groceries delivered and don’t leave the house unless it’s for essential services. We also take rapid antigen tests before we see each other. Our whole group agreed that none of us would be responsible for giving anyone else Covid. Some people call us crazy, but we say we are sensible and responsible :)

Webster Wigs make amazing pieces, ranging from super realistic to highly styled drag looks. I have like 6 of their wigs, and they're my favorite to wear. The funny thing is that despite having a collection of about 60 wigs, I still dye my hair every 3 weeks - my natural hair is black but it's too dark when combined with my goth/emo style, so I've been a faux ginger for years

I discovered the 100% same thing with wigs. I just pop on a different wig when I want a different color/style, and not only do I retain the style/color of my natural hair, but it also stays in good health. Basically it gave me unlimited options! Excited for the wig content :)

It usually grows weirdly in the back, you have to trim that more often to keep it from being a mullet until the rest catches up. 😅

I HIGHLY recommend using olaplex shampoo and conditioner or the redken acidic bonding shampoo, and doing a T18 treatment. The T18 treatment literally makes my bleached hair feel like VIRGIN hair, and also if you do heat styling on your hair, get a dyson airwrap, this will ensure all your new growth and current hair will be at the best possible state.

For some of the higher quality synthetic wigs I'd recommend something like rockstarwigs, gothiclolitawigs, or Youvimi wigs. Also if you have any questions on how to use, take care of, or style wigs in general I'd recommend Alexa Poletti's channel she's been wearing wigs for years and has posted several videos on them, this is my biased opinion but she's essentially like the queen of wigs in my book. Oh and in advance if you get a wig that you really like, but is too shinny, you can get rid of the shine. What you need is to leave it soaking in a mixture of water and 1 cup of fabric softener for around 5 days, also you could always use a bit of talcum powder instead of the mixture if that works better for you, looking up cosplay fixes for the shine is a good idea too.

when i was 16 one morning at 3 am i took toe nail clippers to my hair (it didnt come out horrible but needed somebody to even it out) if i can do that you can do your own hair and if it turns out bad remember hair grows back

Great content as usual. I'm here for the wigs even though I don't use any. If you part your hair on the side I think the volume will look better for your face shape. But you did an amazing job considering you're not a professional and did it yourself. I could never get this result if I did the same.

I love your videos but for the love of god woman go to a hairdresser!!!!! I know it's fun to cut hair at home but you can look so much better when a professional does it. Just turn this cut into a less fluffy pixie cut but go to hairdresser and you will look so chic!

Coconut oil to take out the color and soaks in hot water . Finish with clarifying shampoo and the Joico Kpak conditioner. Leave the conditioner in as long as possible with a plastic cap over it to keep the heat from your head in.

The pics you showed when looking up “bixie cut” are the typical haircuts worn by many of the “Karens” in the US. Of course those cuts have a lot of “height” at the back of the crown. BTW, I don’t think bixies need a blood sacrifice. 😉
