That tire cage will not work... from experience. I recomend some 3inc tubes for tire cages. Have you ever experienced a tire explosion that thing is violent. Please that cage will cause more harm than good 😱

The frame of tyre cage should be alot stronger. When a tyre of lorry blows in there all those little metal bars will just blow off and cause more damage.

Congratulations Flo. Hope mum and baby are well. Would be good if you had another internal backup operator to cover for flo. Terry is bang on. That water tank will need to be a minimum of 18ft unless you get a 50lpm pump

Given that you did a safety video not so long back, i am shocked that you would think that overgrown toast rack would be any where near good enough for the job. Go and watch some tyre safety videos, then buy a propper cage. A new cage is cheaper than a manslaughter charge.

The steel for the tire cage should be flat pieces about 3 to 4 inches wide. The wheels are not going to work. An explosing tire does a lot of damage an it will rip that rebar off.

It goes to show how valuable time is to the guy who visited Daniel when he can fly down from Yorkshire in a hele worth somewhere between £1million and £1.8million. Those Augusta a109e power hele's travel a top speed of 285km/h and the chap can work during the journey just like he could in a car with a chauffeur yet with the shorter journey time, he will arrive at his destination whilst still feeling refreshed. The fella must be worth some serious money to fuel it and pay the pilots wages, plus heles depreciate with every mile they fly. I really enjoyed the helicopter aspect of this weeks video, they're something that I'm really interested in, plus seeing HS2 from above...I saw a recent aerial photo of if but hadn't realised what it was. No wonder people were up in arms over it as its a truly massive project, especially when you think of it in it's entirety, so many area's demolished to make way for it.

I think you seriously need to rethink the tyre safety cage and needs to be of far stronger steel construction and securely fastened to a fixed surface not on wheels... Roll the tyre to the cage when needed

I have a feeling that the cage will not be strong enough to withstand a blowout. Perhaps get blowout bags. It's a lot safer than a cage or buy a proper made one 🤔

TBH, Daniel, that DIY safety cage is looking a bit anemic for the purpose of containing an exploding truck tire/tyre. Have a safety engineer sign off on the design and build to protect yourself from liability in case of the worst. In fact, why not just purchase a purpose made cage and set the issue aside properly? This isn't the sort of thing where bodging up a thing from used parts will serve you in the long run. All the best.

Does that tyre cage not have to be certified we had to change the one in the workshop I worked in the insurance and health and safety didn't approve because it wasn't certified if a tyre does blow out you could be in trouble

The train at the beginning wasn't a waste train, it was a bottom discharge stone/aggregate train. The locomotive is owned and operated by GBRF and is painted in Biffa colours as a customer relations exercise

Suggestion.If you pipe in the tanks together (bottom connection) putting a check valve none return side on the smaller tanks they can't over flow from gravity. No second pump required. You will be pulling from the big tank until it has same head pressure with smaller tank and then use water from both.The pump supply will have to be piped in the middle of the two tanks tho. And seperate full lines with floats for each tank 😅 I plumb my home like this with different sizes tanks

mate, if you have a whiteboard by the jump pack, and have everyone write down what machine its being used for, what date, and if its a machine fault or driver fault(lights left on etc.) you could do TPM on batteries or other machine faults easily,

I would not approve of that tyre cage. I survived a fork lift explosion not cage [long story] and was present for a few tyre and rim and ring failures in my 20 years with them.
