Christiana Omoyele is a fish smoker in a riverine community, Awoye in Ondo State who has been processing fish for over 40 years using the traditional smoking drum. However, since her adoption of the Chorkor Oven, an appropriate technology for fish smoking, she has made a tremendous decrease in production costs from using less firewood to smoke the fishes and she is able to smoke even more volumes of fishes using the same number of woods in a shorter time period compared to the traditional smoking drum. Here is her testimonial story.
