I used to say, (for me personally) that as he matured into the piper he is today, I didn't care for his laser fast playing style, but the set has really changed my opinion, and I'd love to hear more like it.
@@PIPERJIM2024 UUUUUUUUUMMMMMM hello on paper he is one of the best and so is his band...... He is also one of the most in demand composers of his generation I mean his only competition is Lincoln Hilton and ross ainslie so piss off.
@@MJFPiping Obviously, and here he is showing off his technique. If you want to make the argument that the tunes he is playing are not musical then fine, but that's all subjective. To say something is "Shite" because it doesn't fall under your subjective idea of musicality is ignorance, incompetence, and most of all arrogance. Btw, i know YOU didnt make that claim but my original comment was in response to the person who did and since you responded to me i assume you either agree with them or disagree with me.....However, the fact that he has been an "in demand" bagpiper since he was a teenager is indisputable so I sup[pose you should be arguing with the oldies(most of whom value musicality much more than technique) in Scotland who gave him a platform in the first place
@@voidzennullspace yeah nah I agree with u, his playing all around is unbelievable however some of the tunes he plays lack musicality, it's not the player it's just the tunes, not to say that they are bad but its that they are showcasing his technicality not musicality which clearly wildcamper doesn't like, its all a preference thing really
