Everybody reported that up until about 2 hours before the trade Toronto & Clipper thought he was going to the Lakers. He made a last minute move. This is like one of three occasions in history that Chris Broussard was wrong. He'll probably be the first to admit that he was wrong but I'm pretty sure his intel was correct. The Lakers were going to sign him but Kawhi requested the Paul George thing. The issue was I don't think anyone in the NBA. To Clippers and OKC we're going to make a trade by time Kawhi made his decision. That was a 0.1% chance if you think about it

King Richawd if the team cant win with him it's their fault. the man does everything he can possibly do....why is it not paul georges fault...or kd...kd never won anything until he went to golden state. he left OKC high and dry when they finally had the perfect team built....make it to the finals and almost win it, then kd bails on them that very off-season. only thing you can fault Russ for is believing in himself the way jordan or Larry bird did....he believes he gives his team the best chance to win...and since he is one of the best players of all time...i agree with him. with the right surrounding cast he is unstoppable. can you imagine if kd would have stayed in OKC and when Russ was averaging triple doubles? his prime got wasted because they have no depth on the team. poor management.

King Richawd Why do people think he needs to change his game? He doesn’t. He has a jump shot people act like he doesn’t, it use to be good but now he has a family and I’m guessing he doesn’t practice it as much like curry does or other great shooters. Westbrook just needs to be in the gym all summer shooting 3s and have a coach that knows how to use him. He honestly is like an old school shooting guard he shouldn’t be running the point. His height is fine for a shooting guard because of how athletic he is. If Westbrook doesn’t find love for winning again or a team to do it with though I see him retiring early probably after he opts into the last year of this contract. Plenty of money, made his imprint in the league, in the record books, no shot at a championship as of now, and he is a very big family man. Honestly Knicks would be awesome for him to go to in my opinion, really any franchise that’s Been in the dark ages he can bring some success and to the play offs. Trade okc a couple picks and tan Gibson and another meh player that okc can trade to another team for picks. RJ, Russel, Bobby Portis and randle can make the play offs easy. Or straight up offer them RJ and one first round pick for Danny G and Russel if they want to be relevant badly again.

Maybe Ujiri judged the team wasn't good enough with what they'd be left with. We know he's not one to play safe with the huge gamble he made this year, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

i would love my Pistons to get Russ yes he comes with baggage but talent you can't deny it. we haven't had a real PG since Chauncey plus we have the assets. Luke Kennard, Khyri Thomas, Thon Maker, some future picks should get Russ. salary wise i get it goes up but we are trying to win. Pistons owner Tom Gores said he's trying to maximize Blake's window who's coming off a career yr averaging 24 PPG. i think DET gets Russ let's see what a trio of Russ, Blake, Andre can do. plus we need to fill the seats at LCA. DET needs to be good again something to give our city some hope bc the Tigers and Lions are bad. the Pistons are somewhat respectable bc we made the playoffs last season and a good coach in Casey.

Russell Westbrook to Houston for Cp3 and picks makes the most sense! 1. The trade offsets Cp3's and Westbrooks bad contacts. No other team could or would accept these contacts so they almost have to do it for both teams to move forward. (Russ wants out) 2.The Westbrook and Harden duo made it to the WCF back in OKC so you CANNOT say the combo doesn't work 3. You include Capela and Adams from Okc in this deal. Cp3 helps groom the young guard talent while Capela is an instant starting proven young talent at Center to assist with the rebuild in OKC. Rockets in return get a veteran tough big who can defend and rim protect/run the floor which is the best fit for a team like the Rockets in the system they run 4. Rockets should keep Eric Gordon but can also trade him and P.j tucker for Okc's Grant and maybe some picks
