It was his only move to make. Coming off an injury and not wanting to be without another superstar. Also, he couldn't go back to the GSW after the things they said and contributing to his injury. So after talking to Kawhi he realized Kyrie was his only option.

Yeah I agree. I mean, the only player that got elevated because of the Knicks and Garden was Jeremy Lin. But asides from him, I cant think of another player that got elevated by being a member of the Knicks since 2000. Melo was never "elevated" by media, etc, since he joined Knicks. Its time to stop putting the Knicks as a historic one of a kind franchise with amazing outdoor life; that title only belongs to the Lakers. But I do agree with Skip: if you win a title with the Knicks, your legacy will be on another level.
