D B When KD went down GS was only up 4 so no impact. GS was actually better without KD during the playoffs last year due to chemistry issues. Klay got hurt on a basketball play when he tried an extended dunk pressed by Tor D. He’s not a dunker so it was not a smart move. If you discount Tor victory because of injuries then you have to discount lots of titles in the past including ALL of GS titles. Lastly Tor wasn’t fully healthy either.

They can feel how they want, fact is they played well last year in playoffs but they were not going to take the jump as is with that squad. PG needs to step up obviously but truth is Lou will played terrible the entire playoffs and didn’t deliver at all. If he played well they don’t even go game 7, sometimes your star players will I’ve off games and you need a guy to step up and bring it home. Lou was a dud, and I love Lou. To me the Clips needed a playmaking PG that can also get his own shot when the D is focused on KL and PG. A guy like D Rose would have been perfect breaking down the D and finding open shooters and he knows how to close games and control the tempo. Also he has the type of energy that won’t clash with KL and PG, he is more vocal at this point in his career but is a more lead by example on the floor like KL. He didn’t want to be traded last year and I think that’s the only reason he didn’t go to Clips or Lakers. Clips get one more backup big to foul and protect the rim with size and add Rose and they will be set. I don’t believe Pat Bev is offensively skilled enough and enough a threat to win it with the Clips.
