Here goes: In their recent playoff matchup, their offensive numbers were close to equal, w/ Luka having the overall edge but not by a lot, and SGA being the decidedly better defender. SGA's incredible consistency as a scorer, his defense and his ability to elevate one of the youngest teams in the NBA w/out a second superstar to the #1 seed in the hyper-competitive West might be seen as more impressive than Luka winning fewer games (but experiencing more playoff success this year) w/ a bonafide superstar in Kyrie. The fact that Luka and co. missed the playoffs last year is an obvious demerit, whereas OKC has steadily gotten better and will likely continue to improve. SGA has never had a problem w/ a teammate whereas Luka's play style and personality were largely seen as the reason he and Porzingis couldn't coexist. Lastly, SGA is obviously in great physical condition, which is reflected in his consistency. Luka malingers a bit, gets way too feisty w/ the refs, isn't always in peak condition, and has often been accused of giving less than full effort. Here's the thing: I agree w/ you. I think Luka is better than SGA. But it's not hard to make a valid argument to the contrary. It indicates an inability to see beyond yourself if you can't. You should always be able to understand and articulate reasonable opposing points of view. Just b/c you disagree w/ something doesn't mean it's irrational. SGA isn't as good as Luka right now, but he isn't Rui Hachimura. One can make a decent case for him being better.

Maybe he will win MVP until 25 years of age, Luka still hasn't one, but I don't know if he will win title until age of 25 and I definitely don't think that he will make soo many consecutive first NBA teams because competition at that possition is crazy... That shows you how much he can still improve. He can be a 40% 3pt shooter next year. And the reason he is so far ahead of Ant and SGA is because of his all-time playmaking ability. I mean just watch what he did in those first 2 games vs Minnesotas defense. He is dismantling them like no one else could. He is not a great defender but these playoffs he has been actually good and whatever gap their might be on that end between him and his closest peers he more than makes up for with his offensive ability.
