Chris Broussard & Rob Parker Debate If Steph Curry is NOW a Top 10 All-Time Player 

I’m not saying Curry is top 10. It’s a subjective take but Broussard has been OWNING Rob Parker in these segments about Steph. Rob is just hating hard and we all know it.

This “pressure” argument is so weird. Wouldn’t you rather a player keep the game out of reach and never allow it to get close in the 4th. Which is what Steph usually does by finishing teams in the 3rd. Rob has no actual argument so he’s resorting to “no big shots”🤣.

Shout out to Brou for being the ONLY person on a major platform to QUALIFY the criteria for his list. He has been doing it and others continue to jump over that part.

Steph will never have enough rings, enough Finals MVPs, enough game winning shots for people like Rob and Skip… Just say you don’t like Steph, that would make much more sense 😂

Without Curry they don't win this series like they did. From the 4th game on it was all Steph Curry more than not. They couldn't find an answer for him, and in turn everything else they tried to do just fall apart. That 3-pointer that he hit in the last game was a critical iconic shot which basically closed the door on the series. This is reminding me of the Derek Jeter commentaries where everyone said that he did this that and the other, though he wasn't a power home run hitter? And all Derek did was hit for a .300 average more or less and won I think five world series with the Yankees?

What else does Rob need to see from Steph? Score a clutch shot down 3 from the halfcourt line? Come back down 30 in the 4th in the finals? I really don’t understand this argument for the need to hit a big shot. The objective of the game is to win. The greater the lead, the greater the chances of winning. How many games in the history of the NBA comes down to a single shot to win the game? Personally, I don’t think the big shot is as great as people make it out to be. Because it means the winning team is not outright better and there is an element of luck involved.

Steph Curry missed two 3 pt attempts in the 2016 NBA Final Game 7 & a 3pt attempt in the final seconds in the 2019 NBA Final Game 6. Steph's complete package is based on his long range from 3 pt land and can make a lot of them during the regular season & post season, but when it comes to the finals, he doesn't have a memorable 3pt shot that we can all point to and say that's the greatest shot he's made in the NBA Finals. My personal reason for keeping Steph Curry in the Top 11 - 15 is totally different than what Rob Parker is saying.

I think the only team who can beat the Warriors are my Clippers but I'm not sure on that. Stephen A. Smith will be correct again. Warriors will repeat. This was the WORST version of the Warriors and they still won the title. They'll only improve with Klay getting his conditioning back. With Wiggins entering his prime. With Poole and Kuminga only improving. With Wiseman returning. Kawhi and PG-13 are MJ and Kobe. They are archaic no different than LeBron, DWade, Melo, KD, DRose, Ja, etc. It doesn't work in this era. I'm not saying Steph is better than MJ or Kobe. I'm only talking their style of play in these current times. But the reason I'm giving my Clippers a puncher's chance is because they have the only coach who has beaten the Warriors whole. Game 6 Steph scored 34 points but only had four attempts at the free throw line where he was 4 out of 4. The best defense this year in the playoffs and I think 🤔 during the regular season was the Boston Celtics. Yet he demands that Steph have a litany of big shots under pressure and denies Steph the credit for running up a big lead, because such a lead means Steph has "no pressure" to hit a big shot. In Parker's point of view the running up a big lead has no relevance to Steph's greatness. Parker has created a catch-22 maze for Steph such that Curry would NEVER be a top 10 player. Steph helps run up a lead so large that then there is no pressure or even need to hit a big shot. Therefore the absence of a big shot means that Steph is disqualified from being a top 10. But Shaq was so dominant that he should be in the top 10 even though he never had a "big shot" moment. Fortunately, Broussard listed several shots by Curry that should be considered "big shots." When an opponent is threatening to take the lead and gain momentum of dominance, that is PRESSURE. Every shot that keeps your team even or that maintains the momentum of your own team is a "big shot," because otherwise, the opponent takes control of the game away.
