Once it didn't happen on Tuesday I knew it wouldn't happen. Jerry doesn't want to pay a coach not to coach. Jason Garrett lasted until his contract was up. That is what is happening here with McCarthy.

Jerry Jones is taking the Cowboy's fan for granted. That we'll remain Dallas Cowboy's fans no matter what...We need to send him a message that, that's not the case. We need to band together and show him...."If Mike McCarthy remains, WE'RE OUTTA HERE!! Either he goes, or WE GO!!!

Jerry Jones wants a Yes Man at coach. That's why Jason Garrett was there for so long. If he hires a high profile coach he might get pushback and he doesn't want that.

Chris is right on the money when it comes to the Cowboys. Jerry Jones is the problem, always has been. Even when they were winning Super Bowls, he was the problem. Jimmy Johnson built and coached that team; he hired great coordinators and was good at firing up the men while keeping them disciplined. Jerry destroyed that dynasty because of his selfish need to run his mouth. I'm a long-suffering Cowboys fan. Jerry needs to take a step back. Great show gentlemen.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. Jones is more concerned with showing he can do it without Jimmy Johnson that he simply will not hire a coach that will demand control and order. He doesn't want anyone to get the credit like Jimmy Johnson did. This is why as a fan of the Eagles, I will never worry about the Cowboys. Sure, the Eagles collapsed this year. They went out in the first round. But I have way more faith the Eagles can get back to the superbowl than the Cowboys. Jones' pride has basically cursed the Cowboys.

Jerry Jones IMO doesn’t really care THAT much about winning another Super Bowl. He probably cares as much if not even more about the Dallas Cowboys being the center of attention and the talk of the sports world, even if it’s negative. McCarthy is a good play callar for the most part and a mid head coach/leader. The fact is in the past three years, his teams when eliminated we’re clearly not ready to play. That’s a reflection on him. Jerry just wants to keep beta male coaches who won’t ruffle any feathers. The Cowboys will never win a championship, in all likelihood, until Jerry is out of the picture.

I cant stand the Dallas Cowboys but I will say this. This is the most sane decision they could have made. That being said. Nobody on that team has Championship DNA in them and I mean nobody. The talent is there on that team. I was listening to Julian Edelman on The Herd earlier and he is so profound and brilliant in the way he articulates things looking from the outside in coming from a player with all time great Championship pedigree. You play for your money in the regular season. You play for your name in the postseason. That quote right there is whey the Dallas Cowboys underachieve in the worst way. They do not have the leadership on that team to reel everyone in and keep everyone in line. There is a middle ground you have to find between success and failure. Dont get too high on success and dont get too low in failure. Listening to Edelman that is the key to me. The Cowboys feel themselves way too much when they see any success in the regular season. What Edelman talked about points to Dak Prescott being maybe not as effective a leader as people think.

I hope Jerry comes out and says Super Bowl next year just to blow everyone's mind 😅

Lifetime cowboys fan here- I haven’t bought any merch or been to a game since Garrett’s last season. I’m done supporting a team with an owner that cares more about ratings and revenue than winning. It’s fun rooting against them these days ✌🏽

If you think about it, this makes perfect sense. If Jerry fires Mike and then hires Jim or Bill, then they win the Super Bowl. Jerry will get no credit whatsoever, but if somehow the cowboys win it all with McCartney. Jerry will get all the credit. That's what he really wants. That's what I think I'm probably way off haha.

Jerry Jones's circus is not why the Cowboys are losing in the playoffs. Dallas loses because of the type of players the select. For decades this organization bypass physical defensive players for undersized, athletic, players. Their defense has not been able to stop the run since the 90's and in the playoffs they get exposed.

I think Colin is on to something I think teams should draft a 3rd-early 5th round qb every 2-3 years to develop. Best case scenario 1 is better than your current starter, worst case scenario they dont pan out, somewhere in the happy medium you have a quality backup or a valuable trade chip

Early on in the 15-20 scripted plays, you use Cooks, Turpin, Tolbert, Hendershot, screens, bunches to let the Packers know you’re ahead of them. Defensively, I blitz both run and pass early to force Love into quick decisions. That’s my opening salvo and obviously I open things up and adjust in game but my preparation is to hit them in the mouth early on both sides of the ball to set the tempo. I’m still astounded at no such attempt
