The actual range is more like 65 miles at 55 to 60 mph. As with all EVs, if you go 75 it sucks the battery low faster because of the laws of physics. Official EPA mileage rating is 102 miles city. If you want long distance it is your responsibility to use public transportation or just change your lifestyle to meet the reality of sustainability in 2023. Nothing about climate change is negotiable - carbon in = rate of climate change out.

Nah, there are a billion motorcycles and scooters with no doors. Every one of those billion owners wishes they had the features, safety and comfort of the Arcimoto as offered. The plastic doors are just dead weight. If you want a car, buy one.

I would agree, but that vehicle would cost over $30K.

I have zippered uppers. It pretty much fixed my issue with rain and cold. I remove them in the summer. About 5 minutes to find them in the house and zip them in. I keep the half doors on because it keeps stuff from rolling out onto the street and is more secure for the dog in the back (that is strapped in).

I agree. Having rented a FUV twice in FL, I got soaked when it rained. Plus I can’t imagine riding it when it’s cold. As a lifelong motorcycle rider, I don’t ride in the winter. If they did the Jeep half doors, then I’d buy one. I wouldn’t have to park it for the winter or when it rains.

@@billsmith5960 While Bill is entitled to his opinion, readers should note that most FUV owners are previous motorcyclists or e-bikers and we all see what this offers as a huge upgrade. We know from experience that not a single drop of rain hits us while we are moving, due to the air pressure in front. None of the one billion motorcycle and scooter owners can enjoy this benefit and very few of them also have a roof with rain gutters, heated seats and defroster and wrap around windshield with wiper/washer. In addition, there are several videos of Arcimoto driving in rain. None of them get wet, just damp arms and outer thighs when not moving. Those who demand doors on this design generally have no motorcycle experience. Yes a passenger does get some spray that doors would reduce but not eliminate, but they too are an order o magnitude dryer and safer than motorcycle passengers. Since legitimate ownership of 4 passenger personal vehicles for one or two passengers has now been extinct for 13 years, the way we move to sustainability is with lighter vehicles for everyone who does not absolutely need something more. The reasonable option of renting a truck or van for occasional needs instead of driving them full time is more valid now than ever before

First of all, based on population concentrations in the sun belt and up and down both coasts, coverage is almost 100%. Secondly, 50 states mean 50 different laws regulating or not recognizing autocycles. This is not like a new Ford model from a major brand that already has nationwide dealerships and service. Starting from scratch with a new design concept is very challenging. Arcimoto is a pioneer in lobbying to get states to update and/or modernize their autocycle laws. Texas took the most effort but it is open for sales this month. Arcimoto now has 650 owners in the US, plus 150 rental vehicles. The pandemic/war economy/inflation cycle makes it even harder. Many businesses did not make it.

Arcimoto does not have enough money to support service in many of the states. Thus they will not sell there. You can thank Elio Motors for changing the autocycle laws long before Arcimoto started selling. So, when Arcimoto gets more money in the bank and stops bleeding, they will be able to afford.

@@popeyegordon - Vanderhall is a three wheeler but it has a steering wheel. Can-Am spyder is a three wheeler that has handlebars. So I wonder how they have been able to sell them in that state for a few years now. Why was the FUV so different? Maybe because it's electric? I do thank Joel from Elio motors and the autocycle alliance for getting the FUV to be sold there (yet they do not but were to start in September as told to me by a long time FUV owner) Plus, inform Arcimoto that they need to update their website. These are the states they list that they sell too As you can see, it's not 20. I look forward to seeing the additional three states they added. 1. Arizona 2. California 3. Connecticut 4. Florida 5. We live in Florida, it is still under warranty, and it stopped running. No one to fix it. The company is giving us the run around. They told the company that use to fix them to cease all warranty work. Very shady. So you are correct they are not supporting service. @@billsmith5960
