As an investor and owner I am glad to hear from Christ Dawson, Arcimoto CEO. I encourage you, Chris and Co., to pay more attention to your early adopters. We have already proven our interest in Arcimoto and have a lot to offer beyond our initial purchases. We owners are the groundswell, and as one of them I have been completely forgotten by Arcimoto. Still waiting, now two years on, for my doors. Still waiting for a fully functioning onboard computer that communicates with Arcimoto for remote updates. I hope you will bring positive change to Arcimoto beyond engineering and sales, Chris Dawson. Arcimoto can and should be a significant part of the this world's future. Engage your owner base in helping Arcimoto become a household name across our globe.

As an owner and long term member of the owner group I can say we are all excited about our vehicles and telling anyone who will listen, the onslaught of curious gawkers in parking lots is never ending as you know. We already do what you are suggesting but maybe you are the only owner who refuses to talk to people with questions because the company did not ask you to? On every short trip I get thumbs up and friendly honks from drivers on the road who wish they were me. On one day the word "badass" was exclaimed three times as I passed three different walkers. The demand is there but the unpredicted pandemic/war economy can not be ignored as a major factor in slow sales and growth of companies.

Great message Chris. Hopefully one thing you will do better is communication. There is nothing out there but bad information. Some of the other early EVs that are in this area do monthly or quarterly posting of the work going on. I have a deposit on a FUV and cannot even tell where I am in the queue. At the current build rate I am thinking 4 years but cannot get any info to the otherwise. I am also in Texas and the work with DOT here needs to be pressured to make them titled and licensed here. @popeyegordon Год назад
Arcimoto always posted monthly and quarterly videos here until recently. Nobody knows when Texas will be willing to adopt reasonable laws about sales in that state. They demand a dealership must be located in Tx. to sell a vehicle. As far as you know you could be the first to receive your FUV in Tx. Someone has been a first buyer in every new state, they were ones with early pre-orders.

Best wishes for the success of your company.

Salt water and new EVs do not mix. The first time this is driven through surf the salt water is going to kill it. Very few Florida owners buy theirs with doors. This design's safety system is safe without them and the plastic doors are just dead weight that make it harder to stay cool.
@brucegraner5901

@@popeyegordon Well, then, partial enclosure, please. I'm not asking for AC or even heat, just enough cover to not feel stupid while stopped at a traffic light in the pouring rain. There are currently electric vehicles and small displacement gas vehicles being rented at Pensacola Beach for driving up and down the roads and into Fort Pickens but NOT on the beach. FUV's for rent here might be a great way to introduce your product to the general public of this area.

@@brucegraner5901 - If you look at the SEC filing pre IPO, they were to make optional full enclosure, HVAC and even an optional extended battery pack. None of that happened. Plus, the previous CEO admitted they were going to have to do a design change to it to have full enclosure. Also, not all of us live in FL, thus we get cold.
@brucegraner5901
@brucegraner5901 Год назад
@@billsmith5960 I probably misspoke when I said "full enclosure." I once owned a soft-top Jeep CJ5 with a makeshift top of canvas doors and a bikini top, basically opened to the back and it could keep you kind of dry. However, IF the windows on the canvas doors weren't up there was no way you'd stay dry in the frog-strangler rains we have in Florida. Even canvas doors would provide utility to the FUV. Without them, you just have a FV. Such a vehicle might be a big hit in The Villages in central Florida but some simple, light-weight doors would greatly increase the utility and therefore the appeal of the FUV in my opinion. On my jeep the canvas doors were easily removed when the weather was good and I wanted more fun. I just want the FUV to be a big success for Arcimoto.

@@brucegraner5901 - I understand. I rented a FUV twice in FL and one time it was raining and I got soaked because a truck passed me and went through a puddle, that water came right for me. At least the FUV rental place warned me of getting wet if it rains. So, I would believe them as they rent them out and probably experienced it themselves. I had a Jeep too and removable doors were great. In the rain, needed the doors. Same for when winter came.

Good stuff. Glad to see more Tesla connection. More refined focus. Is the deliverator box shape officially back? Looks like way more storage now. Really happy to see this 3 prong platform as the new guardrails of production focus. The flatbed and deliverator probably share most parts.
@popeyegordon
@popeyegordon Год назад
The Deliverator and the modular box sitting on a pickup bed are two different designs. The full roll cage remains inside the Deliverator skin. It is the smallest cargo version while the box is part of a modular system whereby a truck delivers 4 or more boxes to a staging area, then the flatbed loads one box at a time. This system has been around for a number of years for small EVs. The expandable flatbed is by itself a model of interest to many shoppers. The first Deliverator owner has now hit over 25,000 miles on his, he contracts to haul trays of letters for the postal service and gathers firewood for himself. Personally, as a single guy, I removed my rear seat and installed cargo net to make the rear a cargo area and I still have the locking trunk. I'd post a photo if it was possible here.

I never get tired of hearing those twin motors winding up! I can't afford any car on my pension but the Arcimoto is so cheap to own it pays for itself in just 8 years. I save $900/yr on insurance alone, because it gets the very low motorcycle rate. I did not notice the cost of charging on my power bill. Be American, buy American! Hey Chris, I hope the plan involves adding full doors and air conditioning….. I know, this is an electric scooter or motorcycle where driver and passenger are exposed to the elements, however, I live in Florida, humidity capital of the world! Other than that, you have a very interesting vehicle that you sell. Good to meet you sir.
@popeyegordon
@popeyegordon Год назад
The fact that you are in Florida is precisely the reason to NOT want climate control. Mine is in central Florida. Full enclosure for a motorcycle is never done. That tranforms it into a solar oven and the weight is too much for a light EV design. The inevitable climate controls that come with that will zap away even more limited battery power, as does the weight of those systems. The millions of Americans with previous motorcycle experience all see the FUV as a huge step up in safety and comfort but car addicts, the ones with a habit that is proving deadly for our biome, expect to project their unreasonable demands for comfort onto a new mode of transportation which has to be Spartan to be more sustainable. Driver and passenger are NOT exposed to the elements, they sit behind and under a wrap around windshield and roof. If you get the door option you lose the cooling breezes on the lower half of your body. Humidity is not a factor when the air is moving. I stay completely dry when driving in a hard rain with the wipers on high, the wind pressure averts every drop away from the driver. The passenger may get some spray easily dealt with by light rain gear. I tinted my roof and use ventilated seat covers.
@billsmith5960
@billsmith5960 Год назад
They have to redesign it for full doors. Full doors, HVAC and an extended range battery was the plan in the SEC filing pre IPO. Somehow, those were left off and full doors is the #1 thing people want yet the company never designed it to have them. Yes, there are the 5% that do not but you just alienated the other 95%.
@popeyegordon
@popeyegordon Год назад
@@billsmith5960 Abslutely not! I have corrected you many times on this bizarre idea that would ruin the whole concept of right sizing. You see all the car addicts balking at a lack of doors and assume that is the right idea but they are all wrong. Theyn all, each and ever one of them, ignore the warning about climate change and what that means for changing behaviors. A BILLION motorcycles and scooters have no doors, wrap around windshields and adjoining roof, certified roll cage, 6 point harnesses and heated seats to keep the riders dry and warm and safer than any two wheeled bike. Adding the security blanket of doors where they do nothing for a design that is fully safe without them is a stupid move. Add glass and you have a solar oven. Add AC and you now have 200 pounds of extra weight that ruins the zippy performance. Tubular upper frames are not conducive to doors and windows except the crude fabric types as found on Jeeps. To summarize, in the last 24 hours you have slandered the CEO, rejected the design and demanded changes that would ruin the design concept that inspired 500 people to buy this. What's next? Accusing them of treason or rape? If this is how you attack US businesses what do you say about foreign ones?

Experienced motorcuclists by the hundreds of thousands scoff at the idea of doors on an autocycle. A billion motorcycles and scooters have no doors and that has not affected global sales. They are way too big and over powered status symbols that are so wasteful they can not offer a reduction in environmental impacts. The fact that they sell well is another aspect of their unsustainable design vs. uneducated consumers. Each Tesla contains enough materials to make 3 or 4 FUVs. Knowing that, is there a battery mineral shortage or a battery mineral squandering? If the rear seats of Teslas rarely carry passengers you are seeing a continuation of the waste seen in our ICE cars which are also too big for most owner's needs.

What's happening with the MLM Trike as your not answering any emails at all?????
@popeyegordon

If you followed Arcimoto closely you would have heard about the closing of the MLM project late last year. The workers were furloughed. It should have been held off until sales had grown substantially with the FUV.

@popeyegordon why havent arcimoto be up front with their clients 😒
@popeyegordon
@popeyegordon Год назад
@@TheWelshman50 There is no evidence anywhere that they were not up front. It was announced in financial news feeds and to their email list of all customers. You will find it is rare for any company to take down videos that talk about a new product that was later delayed or cancelled and some YT videos about the MLM were posted by independents. They just want clicks for ad revenue. For example, production ended for the 3 wheeled Electrameccanica Solo but there are still dozens of videos for it here, as though it was still for sale. Facebook still has a fan club for the MLM which never went into production. It was before its time based on the pandemic/war economy that hurt all businesses. The investment in R&D could still pay off if it is resurrected later.

The first has been shown in dozens of Arcimoto videos on this channel. The second is a global issue, duh! No company anywhere has not been hit by parts and materials shortages. There was this thing that happened with a virus and then that thing that happened in Ukraine. Don't pretend those did not happen. All on top of the always hard effort of building a new type of vehicle. Elio didn't make it. Aptera is making claims but none delivered. There are 500 Arcimoto owners and 200 in rental/demo fleets.
@billsmith5960
@billsmith5960 Год назад
@@popeyegordon - "then that thing that happened in Ukraine". What does that have to do with Arcimoto? They have never mentioned that anywhere yet you keep bringing it up. I suggest you contact the company and tell them that they should bring this up as it's obviously a problem they never realized was there. I appreciate you doing this as a FUV owner since they will listen to you. Can't wait for their webinar telling us how it's affected their business, plus how it will in the future (since the war has no signs ending anytime soon). This makes me feel that if the war continues, Arcimoto will be broke really soon (if this is the actual case).

What hateful dishonest nonsense. He IS Arcimoto. It was his design concept from the beginning. He is the Henry Ford of autocycles. Obviously you also blame him for the pandemic/war economy that has been hard on all businesses. He still has a high position at the company.

@@ryankalavesis3466 What an odd and confused comment! Ford had to start somewhere, his Model T did for the car what Frohnmeyer did for the autocycle. Elio didn't cut it, Apteras have yet to go into production but the FUV has sold 500 and has 200 rentals/demos despite starting in a pandemic/war economy. Mark was moved because of a legal problem which was a bogus charge. After a year of probation he will be vindicated. Ford did things as a matter of business that would land him in jail today so they have this in common too.

If they just made these in gas models, this company could really take off. They just don't have enough range as Ev's but gas engines would make this vehicle something that everyone could use. People would leave their cars for this with a gas engine but not as an EV. They should at the very least make both gas and EV models. It might be the difference whether they can make a profit and stay in business or not.

What happened with the no more than 11K price? Greedy shareholders?
@popeyegordon
@popeyegordon Год назад
There never was a promised 11K price. In 2018 the statement was made that a pricing goal of 12K for a mass produced version was a hope for the future. Along with that there was no promise that the price goal would not be adjusted for inflation. Also, they made the $750 optional trunks standard this year so that old trunkless price is obsolete. Add $750 to $11,950 and compute for inflation to the year 2024 to see what an equivalent price would be when full factory automation is achieved.

Polaris makes a flat bed that has full enclosure and it's electric. They sell them in all 50 states and through dealers. Unless Arcimoto figures out how to beat them, I wonder where they think this business will come from? Obviously, not the state and national parks. I guess this last mile delivery (which is the new catch phrase) will save it? Only time will tell. Plus sticking a box on the flat bed is just cannibalizing the Deliverator sales.

Please ignore the relentless troll attacks here by the Bill Smith channel. He is nothing but negative, negative, negative! A billion motorcycles and scooters have no doors or roof or wrap around windshield or roll cage or 6 point harness and yet sales have not slowed down for those. Arcimoto offers a far safer experience compared to going from a car to a motorcycle. Plastic doors are just a security blanket that keep you hotter in warm weather. Windows with that clear roof makes it a SOLAR OVEN! YOU have not designed and marketed a vehicle from scratch so YOU have no more credibility than the Smith troll.
