To be fair, I think it’s more for the audience’s benefit than the guest’s. He’s providing context for those that may not have seen the scene he’s about to reference. It’d segue better if he said, “Now, for those who haven’t seen it, let me set it up…” but Vlad ain’t the best interviewer, so nuances tend to get lost along the way.
