The first of two films from the 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting. Featuring assorted amazing machines and a race in a 1965 Porsche 911! What a superb race meeting. See more footage and words here grrc.goodwood.com
That onboard view is just perfection. Please release full uncut cockpit footage of this race later on...that would be greatly appreciated. Great driving as always Mr. Harris.
Those 911s sliding through the corners, tilting to one side - beautiful and a feast for everyone, who loves cars. I envy you Mr Harris! thank you for the video
That is just pure driving in raw machines. No aids just the drivet and the car. Man I Love to see those oldies properly raced by skilled drivers. Again... you've got the best job in the world Chris!
absolutely awesome film. This was made by people that love cars, no silly in and out of focus shots, no shaking the camera, just fantastic cars flat out around a race circuit, brilliant.
Chris (and Tiff and Harry M) are pretty much the only motoring journalists that combine a personality, an innate skill level and enthusiasm that I will ever need. Amen.
I find myself not really caring about the latest sport/super/hypercars so I haven't been watching as many videos, but this - this never gets old. Really great.
That was fantastic! Some day I need to get across the pond to the Goodwood festival. What a collection of automotive history. And to get to see them all run, or even compete in one must be something special.
Ipwnnoobs7 absolutely agreed. was going to post the same thing. Video is really wonderfully shot and assembled. Glad to see my Patreon donations being used in the form of a new (awesome) Stilo carbon fiber helmet, Chris! lol really though - great video. looking forward to part 2.
I will never tire of watching Mr. Harris driving and talk about shiny new cars but I would love to see more of his racing coverage. That was a joy to watch.
Oh my goodness.... This is stirring, lovely, dramatic, evocative. I never raced, but I sniffed a lot of oil and petrol whole goofing with cars and motorcycles and occasionally venturing onto tracks for 80s track days - which were not like modern ones. A excellent, entertaining video.
Great Video Chris, you have the best Job in the World, your one if the reasons I bought my 2014 Fiesta ST, it just turned 46,000 Miles and I’m on my 3 rd set of tires, Man do I ever enjoy sliding that little thing around freeway on ramps & off ramps, I’m 69 years young and when I walk into a K-1 Speed indoor track I’ll either win a race against 10 strangers or come no lower than third, I love speed I’ve had nine motorcycles, keep up the great Videos. The Fiesta Flash.
Is there anything more entertaining to watch than early 911's sliding about on a racetrack? I thoroughly enjoyed this as I will you dicing with mr. Needell! Nice sunglasses btw ;)
Brilliantly shot and presented! Thanks Chris and team for sharing a f* king awesome video. The in-car footage was some of the best I've seen; it wasn't just about the speed but also about the maneuvering! You guys have definitely satisfied the die-hard automotive enthusiast in me. Congrats on the 6th place finish, too! The rovers are badass!
Chris and team, I don't miss a single picture of yours but its the first time I post a comment. Great stuff, but I think you went one step further with this one. FANTASTIC!! Thanks.
This is what separates Chris from every other motoring journalist out there. Another wonderful little film from Chris and co. Would've loved to see some footage of that F1 GTR though.
I think I just figured out how to fix F1. Replace all the cars with old 911s! That was just sublime, absolutely sublime. One of the best, most mesmerizing pieces of auto racing I've ever seen.
Chris is the gentleman of the car community. He introduce himself as "a journalist" because he is so humble but he drives just like a professional racer. He never look down people who drive cheap cars like many in the car community.
That was a great event I have been to both of the modern Goodwood members meetings and the access is just incredible. Love Chris Harris and the way he presents the videos like he is a kid in a candy store with all those cars! Keep up the good work Chris!
One of my favorite Chris Harris videos. I love in-car racing footage that shows the driver sawing the wheel, but the windshield view never changes. About 6 minutes of wonderful flat six noises doesn't hurt either...
