The first ever podcast I’ve listened to and I loved it. So interesting listening to how the GT cars came about and the details on some of the models. Andreas’ career story was good too. I was lucky to have a Gen 2 997 GT3 back in 2017 for a couple of years and still think that was the ideal size and footprint for a 911

A second hand (7th owner) 0-series 996.2 GT3 was my first GT Porsche. I guess Andreas has driven the very car since it was one of the prototypes of the MK2 GT3 series. Now I’ve put in my first new Porsche car order, a GT4RS. Not only that, I’ve been so lucky as to get a PTS allocation🤩

I’m sure I saw Andreas in Scotland a few years ago , I happened to drive by the Porsche factory tour near the Isle of Skye . There was a gt3 rs pulled in at the side of the road German plates on it and I’m sure it was Andreas standing next to it . I was waving like a madman when I drove past , he probably wondered why a mad Scotsman was waving at him 😂

That was really special, lucky enough to have and a few 911’s and my current 991.2 gt3is so special and a keeper.

I was taken to the vintage races at Lime Rock Park when I was 12 or 13 by a neighbor in his 911 and it changed the course of my life.

What an excellent podcast, just superb. They were talking about the impression on a young person by being given a run in a car that you never forget. Mine was in a Ferrari 500 Superfast (chassis 6661) when I was 12 years old.

4am. Just listened to the whole podcast after waking up from the kids bed. What a treat the way the whole porsche heritage (kussmaul et al) and passion was mentioned in the video for all the porsche nerds out there. My first drive ever, 25 years ago, was in my dads 911 sc, which is now mine, and hoping to pass it on. I created the first porsche fans website in my country in the mid/late 90s, and always keen on whats happening in estoril porsche related. Thank you andreas for keeping the spark.

The story of driving the 997.2 3RS to Le Mans, racing, and driving it back is one of the best modern Porsche stories rarely told. It's a shame they didn't shake the PR tree more for that endeavor. Interestingly, AP added a new piece of info I've not heard about that story. It was known the car had different brake pads and tires in order to race, but he now says it also had bespoke springs too! Still, it doesn't detract from the mega accomplishment that can never be replicated due to rule changes. Such an awesome story. Thanks for sharing, @chrisharris!

I had a 911 on my wall as a kid in the late 70’s I remember looking through the classifieds thinking one day 🤔…in 2020 I bought a new 992 Carrera S in Crayon with black wheels..absolutely love it, driving dynamics are fantastic but you almost have to learn to drive again compared to a mid engined sports car..

Was hoping to hear about gt4/spyder, as growing members of the gt stable, but I guess there was only so much time.

Andreas’ description of the car he’d like to build sounds quite like a Lotus Exige Sport 410 or Cup 430. It would be very interesting to see Porsche’s interpretation.

I hope Andreas sees this. Since GT4rs is announced is it possible to roll out GT4 and 718 sypder short final drive program? Market it like a "pit stop" for dealership to upgrade for owners who think the long gear is out of sync with the chassis and power. If the whole package can be done within 7k euro every parties will be happy

My 4 year old recognises Porsches, I've given him my 1980s Bburago 1:43 models of the 911, 959 and 935 - he can spot them on the road straight away, shame most of the ones he sees are Taycans...

Why doesn't the touring models have back seats? If it is a mature option with no flashy wings, and probably no cage in back, please make it practical as well, have the option to put it back in seats back there please.
