Chris Isaak - Wicked Game (Beyond The Sun 2012 LIVE!) From the Chris Isaak Beyond The Sun 2012 LIVE! concert film In remastered Full HD 1080p Available on DVD & BluRay
Let us not forget James Calvin Wilsey, lead guitarist of Chris Isaak's Silvertones who came up with the infamous haunting intro that helped make this song and many others incredibly memorable. Rest in Peace... James Calvin Wilsey (July 12, 1957 - December 24, 2018)
@@neilroyston1294 No, James left the band in 1993 after the "San Fransico Days" album, the guitarist in this video is his replacement soon after. Look for pre-1993 Chris Issak videos & TV spots on Dave Letterman, etc. He's the blond guy lead guitarist (not bass). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wuGwH1LXEfw.html You own me some kind love ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lvYxG7OEtcM.html Dancin' ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jCtHvEnOAG4.html Blue Hotel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pZbyQftBwOA.html
Anyone who has ever loved another with ALL their heart & Soul, then loses them... knows the level of pain that follows. It never leaves you. One can only try to survive. This song speaks of this. One never wants to go through that pain again. I've carried that broken heart for nearly 30 years. It still feels like it happened yesterday. Nothing makes it go away. This song speaks to my heart, timeless. Just beautiful
@@Lrat-ey5di Thank you for your kindness, I have sought out counseling on/off for years. The dreams/nightmares still come/go. That relationship robbed me of my best years. I still pray to God to take that pain out of my heart and mind. Maybe one day... I will find some happy and peace before I die. Amen😪🙏 I wouldn't wish this heartache on anyone. God Bless
Guys please check this Danish artist doing a cover of this wonderful song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S56pFeXfm10.html I promise you will not be disappointed. Let me know what you think of this version of the song... ps. Listen with headphones for epic sound. ❤️
Which either means that there is no person who loves another person, or, deciphered grammatically not culturally, it means that there is no person who doesn't love another person, so everyone at least loves one person. Which is it?
@Tabula Rasa why are you only referring to me and not to the dozens who made a similar comment as mine? Go wash your dishes sweetie and Have a nice day!
His voice is amazing. This song never gets old. Fun fact, Chris Isaak had a cameo in The Silence of the lambs, he played one of the Swat Team during the Elevator scene when Hannibal Lector escapes from his cage. Thanks for sharing this 👍
I was driving through Amarillo, Texas, when this came on my radio for the first time. I pulled onto the shoulder and turned up the radio. It's such a stunningly beautiful song.
Thanks for your love and support. It has been a hard time for me going through this but your love and support keeps me going and standing strong in this difficult times . I do read your heartwarming comments and I truly appreciate all you've done for me throughout the years

@@offlcialkimhyunjoong5222 You may not realize it, but you do people good in simply sharing that you have personal struggles. I expect that many amateur musicians, who admire your talent and performances such as this, also suffer the gnawing fear that their own lives will never be enough by comparison. But going through deep water is something we all share, at the end of which maybe we become grateful for the lives we do have, rather than the one we imagine being lived by others. Praying for you man, for a joyful future.
I was in Chris HS speech & debate class. He kicked ass in debate tournaments. I was in humor interpretation. He sorta ran his own at school Senior year. He gave me confidence saying how I was good. I'm so happy he got his break . He graduated in 76. STAGG HIGH STOCKTON, CA...me 75. Still alive.

@@Parseenfroo Maybe you should stick to 'You Tube for kids' and allow the grown ups 'free speech'? If ever there was a time to curse/swear its to describe this song.
Not wanting to sound like a wise guy, but actually the song first came out in 1989 and remained widely unnoticed until David Lynch used an instrumental version of it in his 1990 movie "Wild at Heart", which prompted Lee Chesnut (yes, that's his name), a music director from a radio station in Atlanta, Georgia, who loved Lynch's movies, to play the song up and down on his airwaves, thus making the song hit the top 10 of various charts in 1991.
@@bodenlosedosenhose1590 thanks for the additional info..I heard it first in 91 when it was getting a lot of airplay and assumed it came out the same year. Anyway, the song is still beautiful even after 3 decades.
@@frontlever-di7gt It sure is. I discovered it a bit later due my year of birth, but never really paid attention to it and just lately started getting into this song and others from Isaak.
Total perfection. This live performance is the best rendition of this song I have ever heard. I have watched this video many times now and that's why I bought the BluRay from this concert. Thanks for the music, Chris.
@@bobbyhulll8737 Yes it is. I like that I can hear every single instrument clearly like the fantastic guitars and the rhythm section. Chris' impeccable voice makes it perfect. The guys have been playing together for decades now and the different sections of the song are done perfectly. The great audience and the cool location and the nice costumes contribute to the performance. For me, this song is about the inevitable heartbreak in everyone's life. But in the end every heart will be broken someday. And it's still better to try to do something good in this world.
my wife and i saw him in about '70 near annapolis md in an old tobacco barn. a birthday party. people in the rafter everyone rockn out. wow. what memories.
Voice of liquid gold dripping on the microphone. Mister Isaak ages very slow. 10 years passes but his appearance doesn't change. His voice stays the same. That's why he possesses the ability to perform this track endlessly
During the late 80s and 90s Americans had like a reappreciation for the 50s era. Chris Isaac kinda embodified this trent.. His part in Twin Peaks movie was SO cool, his persona fitt right in... Great artist and a little bit underrated, his songs are so perfect.

@@tulsaguy9963 Jimmy Wilsey was the original guitar player who wrote the intro to this song.. He was an amazing and talented guitar player. He passed a few years back
He was popular in the 80,s and I don't recall of ever seeing him or listening to his music. But now I'm 70 yrs old and constantly listen to all his music.
Strange you wrote that. I worked concert security for years and heard hundred of shows. I was on the barricade when he started playing and I actually turned and watched him play...which I never did...because LIVE it was otherworldly.
Every time I hear this song, I think about every moment in my life that has past, those moments live in a desert by an ocean. I’m walking thru the desert watching every part of my life.
Been there (not for 37 years) and it still friggin’ suck, but life goes on with or without the guy. Songs like these bring ALL the emotions out at once.
All these years later. Still sounds like when this sing first came out. He just has a awesome voice!!! Could listen to this All day and nit get tired of it!!!
Love this track. So clean in this performance, and its a sad fated world that he weaves. It won't ever be irrelevant because the lyrics are so universal. Thank you forever, Chris!
The power of this song just hits hard...really hard. i mean im sure a lot of us have gone through this, a person whom you really want.....but you know you shouldn't.
HIM did a pretty good job of it, but Three Days Grace did a fantastic job of it. Shame that it was only available as an iTunes Exclusive for One-X. Tho people have uploaded it on RU-vid.

I've always loved this song, and this live version is absolutely GREAT. Chris has such a unique tone and vocal style -- you can't ever miss that it's him singing.
You come in, expecting the voice not to be as crisp and certainly not after 3 decades. You assume he will improvise on the high notes. Imagine my pleasant surprise.
Few bands can achieve that level of perfection live. Studio recording is vastly different to laying it bear for the audience. Beautiful 🌹💕 performance . Indeed it is a wicked game to play." I never knew I could love somebody like you. No, III don't wanna fall in love".........too late😔
Chris Isaack, a timeless Legend. Well respected and loved globally, for his great Tracks and his Voice, that transends so many similar qualities of those 2 earlier great Artists, that have passed on, but never forgotten Legends, in the King - Elvis and Roy Orbisson. Huge Respect, Chris!.
