I am a self professed "Chris" addict. Ever since my first exposure to his voice, I've been listening to everything I can find that he has done. It's phenomenal how talented he is and how amazing his voice is. His range and the emotion he adds to his performances are off the chart. While I certainly prefer his originals, even his covers have the Chris spin and that helps make them special as well. I'm really super jealous that you guys got to hear him do this song live, but I'm hoping to see him in concert before too long and that will overcome my disappointment. Howie and Simon have totally lost their collective minds on this guy.

Oh my, a Vegas-LA round trip WITHIN the day, and straight back to posting for us? I appreciate you guys!!! I very often agree with Simon & Howie's comments and even liken myself most to them in terms of how I judge performances. But here, I couldn't believe what they were saying. I think the issue is that Chris is so good at what he does, such a seasoned performer - he makes things look easy and so somehow they're just not wowed by him. But to me, he's a ready-made star who looks like the "special guest" performer of the night, not somebody trying to audition and impress. Queen was so right: "We're already at the concert." And 1000% agreed that she was a fantastic judge! She fit right in and I would make her an AGT judge in the future!

I am so excited for you watching Chris live. I have waited for your video all Day. 🎶💯🙌🥰🌟 So Amazing to hear what you say about this. I have seen Chris live 6 times. I had a Tin-Foil-Hat moment when i saw the performance. First the Pow wow between Howie and Simon DURING the song and then after when I saw the video titles on ATG RU-vid channel. All video titles have good and juicy Click Bait titles except for Chris video! I think they really want him out, most likely because he is out of their grasp contractually already.

So glad you picked up on Simon's comment being confusing. If he thought this song was the killer song from the middle round, and he loved that song, how can this song be a bad choice? Howie is not sitting there as a fan to just decide that he does not like the song. He should do his job and judge.. Chris has a beautiful voice, he writes beautiful songs and he's genuine and authentic. What part does Howie not like? I will never understand.

The truth about AGT! The acts coming to the AGT especially this year have been called in by Simon. Those who come to AGT can not say what they want. Simon decides what each person should say and how they should act on stage. I think that Simon has chosen which songs Chris should perform for each performance. Mark my words,, Chris will be in the final and he will shine. I don't think Chris will performing with his winning song from Idol (Treading Water), it would feel wrong to me. Maybe I'm wrong, it's a good song after all. I think he will perform the song Something Like Me or a Chris Stapleton song. Love From Sweden

I think that Simon and Howie submarined Chris because of money. I think Chris is already safely out of their grasp and that makes him anathema. S&H are “hooked” into a different act where they can make cash. It’s all about the Money. I know the music industry fairly well. We all do.
