an absolute dream guest, 20 plus years as a top professional, was part of multiple England squads at major tournaments, one the lot with Arsenal playing alongside some PL all time greats. Very colorful life post retirement too.
Favourite podcast atm, can't wait for future pods, would be good to get Stephen tries or true geordie, or even one of the sidemen like ethan or Harry! Keep up the great work all the best!
Ben, you bloody deserve a testimonial game with England!!! you must be the coolest premier league player ever, I'm not exaggerating, honestly!! greetings from a Mexican colleague GK living in Sheffield!!! UP THE FOZ!!!!
I’d love to see a current Man City player or one that’s played under pep like Grealish, Walker, stones or Sterling to get a proper look into what it’s like at city and under pep
Loving the vids Ben would love see someone like Danny Rose who was at Sunderland when Paolo Di Canio was manager or any one from Swindon. Love listening to Di Canio stories. All the best Ben keep up the good work.
I’d be so interested In getting someone from another sport. Professional to another professional. My first thought is Lando Norris from F1. He’s gonna be a class guest.
saw chris at manchester airport about 2 years ago i noticed him and said something to my mum and then my whole family just started staring at him from about 50 yards away
You are incredible Ben, i must say i thought you were amazing until you beat us 5-2 last week 🤣. Only playing mate, keep up the work, i love listening to you. One of fee footballers that have made it, made a lot of money and kept both feet on the ground.💙💛
Love the podcast! Little tip for the next time, the table is fully blown out(way too bright). Either adjust the studio lights little bit or mask it in post :).
Ben just for clarification, the first openly gay footballer was actually Robbie Rogers who played for LA Galaxy after he came out in 2013 and kept playing til 2017.
Should be said that there has been a few openly gay male MLS players, as well as quite a few openly gay women soccer players in various leagues. Always good when it hits the news cycle though and hopefully indicates a progression in acceptance and understanding.
I'm pretty sure Billy from the F2 ended up having some major surgery on his kicking leg because of all the kicking over the years and basically hyper focusing those individual muscles at 100% almost every shot with no variation.
