Chris, I know you probably will never read this message, but I got to get this off my chest. I just recently became a huge fan of yours, I'd say about 5 months ago. I've seen a ton of your videos and you are by far one of the best magicians out there... not only that your a cool dude too! However, this video in particular touched my heart! Since Christmas of last year, my dad has fought through Stage 4 Liver Cirrhosis, it was so bad that I thought we were going to lose him before 2018. He has also fought and won against Prostate Cancer, and just had hip sugery (which the ball joint popped out of socket a couple days after surgery). I say all that to say this, you make the impossible, seem possible... not only that, you explain how it can be done. Also, I would love my dad to get that feeling of amazement, as I do watching your videos... wether it be solving puzzles (which I personly love) or your magic (which I'm trying to learn, by my fat fingers get in the way... haha). My dad, is my best friend, and he's been through a lot. To see a smile on that mans face is such a gift to me... because it was almost taken away!! Thank you, and please keep up the wonderful work you do!! Semper Fi my man!!
This is the real reaction when you do street magic. No one in their right mind will jumping around screaming. They will be surprised and try to solve the magic tricks. Sometimes they will ask you to do it again.
Why everyone have to be the way you want! Maybe she is having a bad day or simply she don't like magic at all (my son for example, he don't enjoy magic tricks, he thinks they're boring) and you can't blame him for that! You ashole
@@aliadosmc Giving credit where credit is due is not "a way" it's being decent. This was an amazing trick and Chris was giving his all to the performance. She comes off as condescending.
+Marlon Uballe Every person reacts in their own way. Maybe she is shy. Maybe when she went home she couldn't stop talking about what she saw that day. That's what makes us different as individuals I guess.
Already back then a true visionary! and now ... 5 years later, this man has the audience he deserves! 2.5 miljon people supporting his passion . Stay true to what you love Chris! We'll support you! #RamFam
Dude such wise words, and amazing photography and of course beautiful magic and performance, you just inspired me to create a video like this! thanks a lot man
My favorite reactions were yours Chris. The look on your face when you see their reaction, you can tell you absolutely love every minute of what you do and it fills me with warmth every time. God bless man.
So good to go back and look at these videos. Seeing where Chris is now and his personality now compared to where he was just 6 years ago. Such an amazing and awesome progression
Amazing video and inspiring to me. I have some friends and people that think im stupid for wanting to learn magic but this inspired me to keep going. Thanks so much, amazing words, magic, and amazing inspiration! :)
people dont like long tricks, even tho i really like the trick you did in the middle, i realized people lose interest in tricks that take longer than 1-2 mins.
Every after Chris does a magic trick, his genuine and humble laugh in the end is so cool and amazing, even to this day. Such an amazing and genuine person
The pure joy :) it brings others and brings me. I cried at the end. Been fighting alcoholism and epilepsy. Yes connected probably. Help me more than you know man. So much love
you are right and wrong yes magic isn't only a trick but an illusion and mind game that is how all magic works coming from a magic myself if you have any questions on how to perform some magic tricks lmk and I'll explain all of it. 😀
hey, i know it's been more than a year since this was posted, but i just watched your lecture and the biggest thing i took from it (besides KLEPTO) is WOW, this guy really loves magic and he really loves doing it, and it clearly shows it on your videos. i've seen a lot of people do street magic, some were good, some were great, some were even excellent, but a very rare thing is seeing someone like you that truly loves what he does. I just wanted to congratulate you on your huge success, and tell you that you're an inspiration for those that love what we do, even if it's not magic.
*Chris I was getting demotivated about magic, but then I watched this video! Chris has something! something inspirational, something magical, Thanks Chris!!*
You know a lot of RU-vid's are in it for the money. When you see a video like this you can see someone who is truly sharing their feelings, someone that has passion for the art. Chris here has just shown that, the true passion of making people stop and enjoy and smile.
I want to learn those kinds of tricks, unfortunately I know some alright ones. I love magic and I love how people react when you do something they don't expect, especially when you 'mess up' I work at a gas station, so you know I ain't doing good in my career choices, but I started learning how to do actual magic in order to make every trip a customer has a special and unique one. I must admit my heart gets warmer every time someone says "you just made my day so much better!" or when little kids have that sense of wonder and they're just genuinely blown away and they just high five you, give you a hug or just brag about you to their friends at school. I love how magic touches people and they just genuinely become happy. Pass those smiles around more often!
I'm a ride operator at a theme park in Missouri called Silver Dollar City and I do that glasses trick to people all the time! People freak out haha! It's so fun to mess with people on those rides. You do great work Chris!
Chris, your performances during vid were outstanding, genuine and highly skilled. You have put years of arduous work into perfecting your craft. You are a credit to all that have come before;however, many thousands of years have elapsed. Man, who wouldn't dig this??? Please continue!!!
you bring a whole different meaning to magic for me dude I started with your videos and I've been doing magic for a month now and I've learned so much from you on the morals and the meaning of magic I've been depressed for most of my life and since I've discovered magic my life has changed so much, just bringing joy to someone's face with the simplest things as magic doesn't just make there day but it makes mine. keep it up man and don't let ANYONE bring you down, we might not know each other in person but just know that you have brought someone out of the depths of hell and brought him up thank you so much for everything
I bet you're 100% correct. He's holding his wrist and moving his arm, that makes a perfect distraction to slip the piece into his pocket without noticing.
Magic is such a beautiful craft. I remember how i felt when someone performed a trick i learned barely 2 years ago. And the trick was done in front of me when i was probably 14 years old. I'm 27 now I wish I had practiced more of it. Because it's people like Chris Ramsay that make the world a whole lot more interesting. And better. I have not a clue what his budget is but South Texas needs people like him. There might be one guy out here as we speak perfecting the craft enough to perform but until that better magician pops out. I'll do simple simple slight of hands every now and then. The one I'm trying to perfect now is a coin trick, but it just falls everywhere each time.
Keep doing what you're doing man. It's so cool to see people react like that and sort of surreal at the same time. It makes them happy and it makes me happy
Man, you're just awesome, I started watching your videos like a couple of weeks ago, and I always liked magic, and a year ago I started doing magic tricks, I tried to learn cardistry and I studied hypnosis too, and only now I met your channel, i found your channel about two weeks ago like I said, because I'm Brazilian,so forgive my poor English, I studied how to speak English for 4 years, here we don't have any magicians like you, so good and that shares knowledge, I really am enjoying your videos, not only tutorials, cause I learned better magic tricks with you, I'm getting better because of you, but I'm getting more compromised with magic watching this kind of video, and I get very excited with this videos, envolves me a lot, thank you for doing this with people like me, and maybe you didn't know that you're affecting people from so far like me, thanks a lot man, really.
I want you to know that this video has changed my life... you’re an amazing person and I love how much you make people see outside the box and use their imagination I love you bro!!!🙏🏼🔥
Man I've been watching your vid for 3 weeks now and I love your channel, thanks so much man you really inspire me when I was a kid I was living in the country where you can't buy or do what you want unless you work hard for it and because of that I couldn't do magic even though I wanted to, I remember when one my cousin did a magic trick on me when I was with him I was so amazed and that's the feeling I want people to feel to feel happy amazed like your back being into your old self and now I'm in Australia I'm finally get to do magic thanks to your channel you help me a lot 🙏🙏👍
Mr. Ramsay, this is by far my favorite video of yours! :D I mean, sure, your other videos are incredible too, but this one is so inspiring, relaxing, motivating and just beautiful at the same time! I think, you're my favorite magician, because I love how natural you deal with the spectators and they seem really focused on what you're doing there and they make an happy impression on me. :) Keep up what you're doing, cause you're amazing! ;D
Watching this in the future when I know how half those tricks were done, I still can't spot the moves I looked out for 🤣🤣 super smooth! My favourite magician on RU-vid ✌🏻
hey chris, you not only bring smiles to the audience you work with but to many people out in the world. I'm from South Africa and i really enjoy your videos and it bring so much joy and inspiration. I really want to learn these things and bring just as much smiles to people here as you have over there. Youre an awesome person and dont you ever change. Keep it up buddy
Ive been binge watching you for about a week now since you randomly poped up in my suggested. Now seeing this old video i can see a huge difference in your videos and magic. Good looks man
Chris, love the comparison you make between that "false last step" and the reaction from an audience member. Every time I see a Magic trick that appears impossible I feel completely unhinged from reality, not even knowing what to say or think. Thanks for being so real, Brother.
Can you imagine how lucky these people are because they got to see Chris Ramsay perform right in front of them at the very beggining before fame. These people were truely blessed 👏👏💜💜
Well said, and you are the reason people have a smile on their face that day. You can change someones whole day, just by pulling them aside, and brightening up their day when they are down.
theres somthing about david blain and his lack of expression and confidence that makes it more believable than an enthusiastic performer, just my thoughts
That's what I've been trying to tell people who tell me to "be more energetic" because the first time I watched David Blaine, because of the way he acted, I believed he was supernatural...lol
Blaine lets his magic play out and doesn't push the story. Basically lets the audience draw their own conclusions. It's a really effective way to perform.
I don’t believe Chris is trying to prove to his viewers that he has magical powers. For him and for I believe most adults it’s more about the performance and the skill needed. That’s just my option though. A bit late I kno
been watching your videos for about 3 months now, ripping through your content voraciously. but this..... this just about brought a tear to my eye. Love your philosophy about magic.
this is still one of the most inspiring street performance videos I've EVER watched! the music choice and monologue at the start and the performance :O
My family says : magic is like your cubes , you get bored but this time just this time i felt i belonged to something that seeing people's reactions is gratificant and fun to make those reactions ... Chris ramsey you have inspired me to be a magician one that will blow peoples mind and for that i will be in debt with you. I feel magic is just in its beginning and i will try to be great at it during my lifetime Thank you
I love your speeches they are truly amazing and your magic is cool. This is very inspiring video and that feeling every time you do those speeches is just... gets to the heart. You are truly amazing.😇 🃏
It doesn't matter how much time passes since I first watched this video! Few things inspire me as much as this!! Magic is a beautiful gift to give to people don't forget that!
I came back to this, scrolled through your videos, watched it, and have seen you came a long way, you've done so much and you've made enjoyable content I can sit back and just relax to. This is beautiful.
Loved it my man I'm all the way across in India. Have learned a couple of things from you I'm a counsellor and a motivational speaker by profession and I've used to tricks learned from you to brings smiles to kids and people who have lost hope I want you thank you and give you the same feeling I got from giving happiness Keep doing what you do and never stop being yourself Big fan of cards and puzzles would love to get some Lots of love 🐼🌹
I love your videos! At age 50, I'm starting to appreciate the love of cards to include tricks and Texas Hold'em. I have been a casino dealer for 13 years and have always been amazed by magic, especially when dealing with cards. What brand is a good one to start with? And can you do a video on plastic playing cards? Which is the best recommended plastic playing cards for hosting Texas Hold'em games for the family? Thank you for your enjoyable videos! Keep up the great work brother!!!
Man, Chris. You're awesome bro. I just started doing some card tricks and man you are inspiring me. I'm just rewatching all of your video's and you are crazy man! The best on youtube. Keep it up! From Holland
Been subbed for a long time but never saw this vid. This was very cool and even though I wasn’t around at the time of this making, it still felt nostalgic. You’re one of my favorite performers man. Here in 2019 and don’t plan on leaving
I know this is an old video.. and who knows if you’ll actually see this but about a month or two ago i recently decided to get into magic. Figured I needed something new.. played in a metal band for 3 years. Did stand up comedy for 5 years. Try to incorporate the two together but I needed something new.. I just like performing and as i was stumbling through videos and tutorials learned a trick or two I came across the video where you did a mentalism trick to a guy through FaceTime.. and something about the way you performed.. explained.. your style all around I’ve spent almost all my free time watching your videos and practicing techniques you’ve showed for hours until my pinky was too cramped to move and my fingers were bleeding. From passes to shuffles to the one I’ve practiced the most being the bottom card control you teach in your shoot three cards out of the deck video.. I haven’t done actual street magic but I work two jobs and I’ve done multiple tricks to all my CO workers. I’m a server at one job and I do tricks to my customers which has helped my tips actually.. and pretty much everything I’ve learned has been from you. 90% of everything i do. All of the magicians I’ve watched from different youtubers, contestants on atg and “fool us” you’ve easily became my favorite magician by a long shot. I don’t know if people tell you this often or not but i respect all the advise you give and follow through.. from buying cards (bought Walgreens, target and Walmart out of blank tiger bicycle and the chainless bikes which are my favorite) to even books you’ve recommended that I’ve purchased. All of which has helped and I finally came across this video and your words describing magic is what I needed. The motivation. It’s the same way I felt doing comedy.. just performing and shocking by jokes, tricks or both.. the feeling and the reaction of the spectator is the real magic dad makes the hours of practice worth it. Don’t know if you’ll read this or if you’ll respond if you do but I just want to say thank you for doing the things you do and posting the things you post. You’re the shit. Keep it up!
