Chris Reeve Knives Umnumzaan: Full Review 

Nice vid 👍 fantastic knife! I have last “old pivot” version Umnumzaan. I’m carrying Sebenza 21 large last 10 years as my EDC.

But it’s my first crk and I love it more than I thought I would. Great knife, ergos, blade grinds, fit and finish, and the warranty sounds fantastic.

Thanks brother for an excellent review. I was debating getting a large Sebenza vs. the Umnumzaan. I already have a small PJ Sebenza 31in S45VN. I love this knife. So solid for such a small knife. I've decided on the Umnumzaan on order from CRK, and like my small 31, it will be a worker. BTW... I think a major reason why people don't like CRK is because they are not fidgety knives in the same way, say a bearing/flipper is. I love the simple design and excellent execution of my Sebenza.

Great review, I love my new S45vn zaan. As for the glass breaker, I look at it more as the same use as a tactical pen for thumping lol

I’m a big fan of Chris Reeve for all of the points you mention plus the S35VN is a really tough steel that doesn’t chip which I like. Your last point about the spa treatment is a major plus for me and they are a great group of folks to work with, great service and made in the USA! I have multiple versions of each and just picked up the S45 Umnumzaan Tanto - need the clip point when it comes out! Great, great video!

I hated this knife, so much I sold it. A couple of years later I got a slightly used one and finally began to appreciate it.

Great review dude. On a side note I couldn't stop laughing because you reminded me of "apparently kid". Once you pointed out that you kept saying "basically" I couldn't stop thinking of that kid. If you haven't seen the video search "apparently kid" it's the first video with 48 million views. If you get the large Inkosi get it with the micarta inlays. You'll love it, it's my favorite knife. The ergos are amazing.

Terrific review! Liked and subscribed! I got my first Chris Reeve nice a few days ago - a tanto Umnumzaan in CPM S45vn. I love the thing for so many reasons. One thing I don’t love, however, is the fact that it is so stiff that I haven’t a prayer of offering it with just my thumb. I was told to give it some time and that it would likely break in, but it seems strange that a knife at this price point would require such an allowance. I’m thinking about sending it in and having it glass-blasted, and while they’re at it to have a look at the pivot.

I enjoy your commentary and knowledge. Perhaps this has been asked of you, but can you kindly tell me your opinion. If you could only own one knife for EDC, would it be this one or the sebenza 31 large?

I feel like every Chris Reeve knife that i own takes a little while to get used to. They don´t overwhelm you out of the box, they make you fall in love with them overtime. Kind of like that, took me quite a while to understand though. Chris Reeve´s are defenetly not for everybody. You want to buy an Inkosi and I want to buy an Umnumzaan haha. Think the Inkosi is not as good as both of these though, to me at least, i prefer the thinner grinds, thinner bladestocks. The Umnumzaan might even be better than the Socom, (controversial opionion). Not even sure if they are comparable. Any ideas about the lifestream yet? Or did i miss something?

I can't believe I'm looking at a CRK with a sharpening choil issue. Bewildering after looking at Sebenzas. Not cool.

You should be able to deploy it with your left hand the same. Just practice
