Mark my words Chris Stapleton will go down as one of the greatest of all time if he’s not already there. I’ve been listening to country/ blues my entire life I grew up on a farm born and raised hard-working I’ve heard a lot of country music and this mans got a gift .
The thing about Chris is it doesn’t matter what kind of music you’re into, it has something for everyone. R&B, Country, Rock, you can find it in his voice or music!

Absolutely! Tho, this is blues, not R&B. Al & Sam all day, but they're not pickin 6 strings like Chris is here. Vocally Chris Cornell & Janis Joplin could put stank on this. I wish Mr. BB King got to make he & "Lucille" sing to this. Music, real music, is universal.

One of the things that often goes unappreciated about Chris Stapleton, especially by people that just react to his world class voice (not insinuating that's the case with you, Stevie, just saying a lot of cases) is the fact that he is quite literally one of the greatest and most successful song writers that ever lived, in any genre, ever. He has written dozens of hits, including number one hits, for tons of other artists. Everybody from Adele to Tim Mcgraw have put his songs on their albums. You'd be shocked how many songs you know, that other people sing, that Chris wrote. And on top of that, yeah, that voice, is just different brother.

HOW does he get all that emotion into the lines of this song?!! I swear, I not only got chills, but also tears in my eyes. He is SOOOO good! I'm not a country fan, but discovered Chris Stapleton in a reaction video. So I've only known of his existence for a couple of weeks now. And every one of the songs I've heard him perform were just AMAZING! I love his power, range, and just overall gravelly voice.

Agree Jake. Every song he writes touches the heart in a different place and squeezes on the soul. His bluegrass music with the Steeldrivers in years back does the same. I can almost see all our ancestors in those hill countries working from sun up to sundown, then taking time for a little front porch music. The Thunder from the Trees is about the Heartbreak of the Civil War. Appreciate your comments Jake. Take care, and let the music heal us all.

I just received Chris Stapleton's new album, "Starting Over" and his "Traveler" cd for Christmas! (I also requested & received The Best of Etta James!) Chris Stapleton's guitar and voice PLUS the arrangement of strings on "Cold" is sublime! That song "wrings me inside out" Stevie Knight! There's just no one or nothing like him & his music! Every single cut on his new album is 🔥! I'm very pumped to see him in Charlotte NC in August 2021! ❤
He is an amazing vocalist, writer and musician his music touches the soul. Wow love this song you can hear all the greatest soul and blues vocalists that have influenced him in his music and the orchestra❤❤❤
