This song just brought me to tears first time I heard it and even now I get choked up hearing it. I can just fully understand where these words come from as can anyone who stays in a relationship way past the time that the feelings have ended and the love has died.
I hear you. Been there, done that. The sad part is we stayed together long after the relationship died, then he actually died. I was convinced I was going to hell & felt really guilty for not treating him better the last few years. He was so cranky & demanding, he made liking him very difficult.
That’s a great quote, “you can’t take music like this for granted.” If makes you happy to listen to him, do it. You’ll spread joy by seeing your appreciation for the rare gem that is Chris Stapleton.
Sometimes when I listen to Chris's music (that voice!) I feel like I've just been given a transfusion of some sort of life-giving force. He can make me reflective and teary-eyed, or make me want to get up and dance. In other words, he moves me...every time. You feel it, too. For a more upbeat experience, try "Midnight Train to Memphis". Studio version's good, live performance on Saturday Night Live is fun to watch. Been watching your reactions for a while now. Love your openness, warmth and heart.
Such a sad story. Goosebumps for real! You hit the nail on the head in your other video when you said his songs aren't long enough, lol. Another great reaction!
I hate country music but....I've been living this song word for word for many years now. I could've written this song, but not come anywhere near this powerhouse of a voice. This song is by far the best country song ever!!!
Antney Fatts u wouldn't hate it if u really listen.its life.its soul.its love m hate. Everything n between.just listen.trust me.former punk rocker here......
I am 61 and have listened to all types of music. My favorite now is The Foo Fighters and Chris. There has truely NEVER BEEN any one like Chris. Every note and chord is Perfection. The voice that guitar... Nobody will ever match him. He is a blues guy. It just sings everything Else. Listen to it's a Man's world. The 2015 CMT awards show opening with JT And his wife. And Say Something with JT. Great songs. Best. Try some Foo's. Pretender video. They are perfect too.
Thank you for reacting to this song,,The power and true emotion in Chris Stapleton's voice is so real...You should listen to The Jompson Brothers. It was a band Chris Stapleton had. It's rock, and it's amazing! Listen to Barely Alive, and Inside your head...Fantastic!
Chris Stapleton is one of a kind, generational songwriter/performer..,he is so so unique. PLEASE, PLEASE..,react to DEATH ROW or WHISKEY & YOU.., definitely you will be amazed, again by Chris Stapleton
@@lrdrums98 No, it isn't. The lyrics from Chris Stapleton's website: We can just go on like this Say the word we’ll call it quits Baby you can go or you can stay But I won’t love you either way www.chrisstapleton.com/song/either-way/
I love Chris Stapleton's style, he can sing anything. You really need to see him and justin timberlake on the 2015 cma awards show. they sing tennesse whiskey and drink you away. the whole place goes NUTS. You will not be disappointed.
I've been lucky enough to see him live in concert last year, and am going again this Oct. I don't think anyone can come close to his live performances!!! If you haven't checked out The Steeldrivers yet, you should. It's a bluegrass style band he was previously in. If It Hadn't Been For Love and Midnight Train to Memphis are my faves. Some other good bluegrass country choices: Alison Krauss with Union Station (she sounds like an angel) and Ralph Stanley with Patty Loveless do a great job on Pretty Polly as well :)
This is becoming a habbit.....third song of his in a row has evoked the same feeling from within me. If this song doesn't move you.......CHECK FOR A PULSE CAUSE U R PRBLY DEAD. Great reaction, TY for covering this artist.
This song either way is sad, however I can see how things could end up exactly like this.JB this is not a laid back song at all.It is a place where any of us could end like the song. OH, JB I went on utube typed in Chris Stapleton and Death Row, it said song was not ready for viewing. But I saw the cover of his alblum and arrowed on down, and there was the arrow to play and it did. Marianna
Please do some Bruce Springsteen... Born To Run, Born in The USA, Atlantic City Live in NY, etc. He has a huge catalog and is a great songwriter. Also please do more Elvis, John Mellencamp, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones
Chris was the lead singer in a band called "The Steeldrivers." Him and a band member wrote this song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uBx76N9tudQ.html . Please react to it. It'll blow you away.
