He's been a huge writer for decades and had a blues band call the Steeledrivers. He's now under a country label and wins literally every award and Grammys available to him. He's been All Over reactions for quite awhile now and everyone has the same reaction to him lol.

I see many races of people listening to Chris Stapelton music, even saying they do not normally like country music. I do like a lot of country music, but his music is not country music. It is so pure, and heartfelt, that you can't really put in a box as far as a genre. It has some characteristics of soul, rock, country, and blues. What sets it apart in my opinion, is it impacts your mood and feelings...his music you don't just hear it, you feel it. You feel it because he feels it. His voice is very distinctive like Bob Seegar, and his lyrics are based on feelings we all have as human beings. He is just starting to be widely heard, and I can hardly wait to hear his next tunes. I have not been listening long, but I will admit, I am hooked. It does not hurt that he has such a great voice that he could sing the phone book and it would sound good.
He did an interview,and his wife was just looking at him like he was the be all and end all. Wish my wife looked at me that way. I know she is into me 12yrs,you hear.,but it's been a long time since she looked at me that adoringly.
You should check out his wife, Morgane Stapleton You Are My Sunshine. Chris sings back up, and she fkn kills it just as good as he does. Her voice is angelic!
