Huge friends ever since Jessica called Morgane and asked if Chris could be "persuaded" to play Justin's Birthday Party. They were not going to give Chris much time as New Artist of the Year in 2015 so Morgane and Jessica hatched a plot. This performance was the result.

@Teresa Grimes Chris pronounces it like Morgan instead of with an "ah" sound and second syllable stressed like the French. My assumption is that it's a Male, Female variation like Tracey, Tracie. I'm far from a linguist however.

The story goes that Justin’s wife called Chris to invite him to Justin’s birthday party. Chris thought he was being asked to perform for Justin, when in actuality Justin was a big fan and wanted to meet him. That started their friendship and they’ve recorded together and performed together several times.

Easily one of the most magical live performances in the last 20 years! The band and Chris and JT were in a pocket big enough to fly a 747 through! Rarely have I seen a performer and his band so in sync! Definitely one fir the ages!

I do not get sick of reactions to this performance. I am not a super fan of either, but have always had a respect for their individual talents. But in my humble opinion, I feel this is the single greatest colab and live performance in existence. The energy, the raw talent. You can see that EVERYONE on that stage is feeding off each other’s energy and performance! Big props to Justin’s band and Chris’s wife. And of courses the sound and light engineers did their thang too! Music y’all, food for the mind body and soul!

Absolutely the most amazing, bring the house down, performance I've ever seen or listened to. They should've ended the CMA Awards with this performance, because, honestly, it was hard to watch the rest. They owned the show!! Nothing could ever come close to this performance.... And, I doubt, ever will!!! People at home watching, I assure you, were on their feet!! Nobody wanted it to end! I wish we could see more of this! This November 2015 CMA Awards performance will go down in history. I know that I continue to listen to it today, nearly 8 years later and it's like the first time every time!!! We want more!!!

YOU!!! You you you! You are the reason I continue to watch reaction videos!! You can listen to an amazing song and you can enjoy it! However when you're a shut-in you enjoy it alone and you reach you out reaction videos and sometimes you feel like they see it but they don't see it from your point of view and then you just watch the total excitement and enjoyment of somebody who responded the exact same way you did to the exact same video and you go praise God not alone and not only did I get experience this video for the first time I got to experience for the first time with other people who felt the exact same way about it!! I love watching the old school country performers looking supremely uncomfortable because they felt so conflicted enjoying a performance so antithetical to their version of Nashville music.
