I am not generally a Country Fan either, however Chris Stapleton's voice is definitely in a sub genre of Country, more along the lines of Country Rhythm & Blues, with a crap load of soul!!! His is a select few Country singers that I absolutely love & listen to quite frequently 😊 And as always, your reactions make me smile, so thank you from the bottom of my heart Dez ❤
This is country! He’s one of the best right now. Watch Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberline at the CMA awards doing this song and Drink you away together!
Nobody sings like Chris. He has his own style, doesn't matter what you call it. His voice is like nobody else's, he's just sings like he feels. I'm 75 years old, I grew up listening to soul, I love it. I may be an old white woman but I know good music when I hear!
Chris does what he wants to do and we’re just blessed to be around to witness it. He’s a magical unicorn and he can’t be categorized.❤. Thanks for covering it. You’re good.
Chris is the best singer , songwriter , performer, talent the world has right now. He is a once in a lifetime talent . Your about to find that out my friend. Enjoy the ride
Chris is always better live! This particular song is an older song that he covered for his album. He however writes his own songs and has written numerous hits for other artists.
Then you going to lose your mind if you listen to him perform it live at Austin City Limits 🤭😂. Check him out with JT at CMA's and his cover of James Btown " it's a mans world". Lawd!!! He performed the Star Spangled Banner at this year's Superbowl. He just different!
Chris took the lyrics from a country song and put them over Etta James "Id rather go blind" melody. So its both country and not. Also he named Aretha franklin as his favorite singer and sang a tribute to her when she passed.
Wow, this is new information to me, I had no idea he used Etta James melody, which is smart and that Aretha was his favorite artist! Thanks for this good info!
I describe it as backwoods country by way of cross roads in the delta headed towards Beale Street Memphis. We hit them bars after midnight. Out in the country backroads. Party down!
Mashup with Chris Stapleton and Angelina Jordan. Tennessee whiskey/ I’d Rather Go Blind. She was 12, sitting on her couch testing out her new birthday mic. This is fantastic!
All respect, but THIS is real country. It's the soul of all of us no matter how you want to label it. Dont limit your horizons, kiddo, by pigeonholing all music into specific genres. Open your mind and heart, sweetie. ❤😊
@DezReactz Dez, we're all works in progress, man. You're pretty great now. Just imagine how utterly awesome you'll be with the strides you take every day!🌝 Onward and upward, kiddo!! Love ya🙃
Subscribed for more. Chris is his own genre of country/blues/soul. Check out his live versions: Tennessee Whiskey live at Austin City Limits, Cold live at the CMA's, and I was wrong live at Austin City Limits. He also did It's a Man's World, he was just in the audience and the band that was playing asked him to sing a song.
You’ve got to check out the Righteous Brothers. Bobby Hatfields live unchained melody is one of the greatest of all time. The live performance was flawless
Hahahaha 😂😂😂 I promise it’s not on purpose, I started with another artist first but when I heard Chris’s voice it literally changed everything. I never had an artist actually speak to me through their craft until now and it’s life changing!!!
If you aren’t getting the live video versions you are missing out! It’s fire🔥 Ok you want to watch his live performances which sound better than his recordings. 1. Live impromptu performance of It’s A Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World 🌎 2. Sometimes I Cry 😢 live at the Bing Lounge 3. I Was Wrong live at Austin City Limits 4. Cold 🥶 live at the 2021 CMA 5. Hold On duet with H.E.R. at the CMA’s I think 2020. 6. Medley Duet with Justin Timberlake of Tennessee Whiskey 🥃/I Can’t Drink You Away CMA’s not sure of the year. 7. Live Duet with Jennifer Hudson at some awards show can’t remember the songs. 8. Tennessee Whiskey live performance at Austin City Limits. 9. Official Music Video Fire Away 10. Official Music Video Say Something Duet with Justin Timberlake. 11. DeathRow live performance at some country music awards show. There’s much more and before he became a singer he was a master guitarist and songwriter for many famous artists across genres so you probably know his work. You can Google that and get a list of songs and artists. I’m still working on that.
Have you listened to Gabriel Henrique yet singing I wanna know what love is . Singing in his car because they thought he was flaking. He will make u fall out ur seat . He is amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm a new subscriber, you have to see all his songs, like ... Cold at the CMA..FIRE AWAY, there's so many, Thank You Sir for your reaction hope you have a blessed day 🙏🏻sending love from Lafayette Georgia 🙏🏻 🍑
SA 0 seconds ago lol, in my opinion, Soul/Blues isn't something in your genes that you're born with. It's something you feel just like any other genre of music and Chris feels it. But to further see what I mean, please check out, Righteous Brothers -- 'Unchained Melody'. Thanks
Thinking radio country sums up country is a big mistake. Country has a lot of influences and had influenced a lot of other music. It has changed over time and in each region.. country is a deep rabbit hole.
You have to listen to everything. He jus taint human. "I WAS WRONG" WILL MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF HIM BEING BORN HUMAN AND REMAINING SO. A L I E N S DID IT!
You’re knowledge of real country was just limited. You probably only heard the pop country stuff that plays on the radio. Country is very versatile, just like hip hop. Another great country vocalist is Travis Tritt…. He can sing sing too. “Great day to be alive” is my favorite of his.
Chris’s voice is next level but from the stats Morgan is better!!! Subscribe and y’all tell me what y’all think! Comment below 👇🏽 Check out my Morgan Wallen Reaction: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ONus7WRaPOM.html
Yep, just that good. It ain't fair. I have a better chance of growing his facial hair then sounding that good any time soon. He exploits that I shamelessly whenever he can. How can anyone else get a chance at it. Taint fair. Okay you figured it out finally, an explainiationer that makes total sense; he's an alien 👽!
@@DezReactz You'll have fun. I'm a gray beard. I tell my young friends that they should never get stuck in a decade, a color, or a genre. You can miss a lot of great music that way. Have fun on your musical journey.
If you are really doing country, review Patsy Cline -He's got you or Crazy; Marty Robbins- the Master's call or El Paso: Jim Reeves- he'll have to go. I don't know why a line is thru my words
