Fact that most don't know. Chris occasionally gets bouts of stage fright. His wife sings backup for him and when he gets to feeling nervous he looks at her. He has stated that she calms him and helps him get through.

Also the female singer on stage with Chris is his wife and she helps him with his stage fright by being up there with him. That's the best one but you know everybody called him country but I'll tell you his music is the blues he plays all blues basically man it sounds so good oh my goodness it'll make you cry on his songs besides Tennessee whiskey he's got cold death row sometimes I cry oh my goodness he's got a whole bunch of them out there besides his music you know he wrote for a lot of other people too I mean he wrote a lot of songs for people that hit it big

The man with the best soulful voice ever! If you also want to listen to something truly special, react to Angelina Jordan. Very old school soul, jazzy bluezy.... From, Elvis, Screamin J Hawkins, Etta James, Dina Washington, Whitney Houston, Adele and the likes. She started recording in studios when she was only 6 years old, won Norway's Got Talen at 7 years old. Today at only 16, in my opinion one of the best, most versatile female vocalists of our time.
Country music is not my thing but at least you two made it interesting. Also, I rarely drink alcohol but when I do buy it, it's only because I like the look of the bottle. Then it stays on a shelf somewhere, unopened. 😁
@@cbogolo This song was written by Dean Dillon & Linda Hargrove. They started writing it at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville & went back to Linda's and finished it around 4am ! They offered it to George Strait but he passed on it. David Allan Coe recorded it for his 1974 album of the same name. George Jones released his version in 1981. As much as i love Etta this song was never hers. Chris has written a lot of hits that others recorded before his wife convinced him to start singing. Thank god she did !
@@cbogolo The Chris Stapleton version does borrow the guitar riff & blusey tone of Etta's song " I'd Rather Go Blind ". The original version by Coe sounds much more country. I've never heard the George Jones version. To be honest almost all music in the Western diatonic music system borrows from others. Rock came from blues which came from slave songs & so on. Stapleton has had this song go 6x platinum so i'm sure Dillon & Hargrove are thankful
