Man White Chocolate + C-Webb are so fun to watch together, shame to see such a talent like Kemp only at 31 and was clearly having off court issues and past his prime here. Imagine Chris Webber in today's NBA with his skillset....NASTY
@@thecheck4879 Kemp had some type of knee injury, subsequent surgery that hindered his career. Comes to find out everyone thought it was his weight, but nope! 👎🏾
@@DJVijilante ummm.... he had a coke addiction, hence the weight gain and the subsequent knee pain. When he left Orlando in 2003 it wasn't to get surgery and rehab his knee.
And no one went to the floor ftom their feet, only from the air to their azz. In other words, NO FLOPPING, unless Vlade was playing. One of the flopping originators.
Cavs had a decent homecourt and logo during this era but they should've kept the 1994-1999 era unis instead of introducing the painfully bland looking 1999-2003 era unis.
Kemp here is already only a shadow of his former self. What a let down for Cleveland fans at the time. Kemp didn’t deserve all that PT to be honest, he should have already been cut. He isn’t just grossly overweight, his skills are gone.
Shawn Kemp was under the impression the 1999 season was being cancelled completely and was not training for basketball in his off time. I think this was the case for several players in that era
@@TRJ2241987 yeah, but you can’t let yourself go that badly in the offseason regardless. I know it’s not easy, but that’s the difference between who he is regarded today as a great player and what he could have been as one of the all time greats at the PF position. - Karl Malone, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, even Detlef Schrempf… all maximized their potential by keeping themselves healthy deep into their 30’s.
HE HAD SUPERTEAM. ILGAUSKAS IS ALMOST GOOD AS DIVAC AND SABAS BUT COULD NOT STAY HEALTHY. IF KEMP STAYED IN SHAPE ILGAUSKAS LESS IN HOSPITAL THEY ALREADY HAD BEST PASSER IN NBA ANDRE MILLER THEY COULD BE SOLID. EAST WAS WEAK. THEY COULD BE IN CONF FINALS.
@@PIP...33 This was not yet that SAC with Christie and Peja . This was old school role players around Vlade and C-Webb. I agree tho that Bibby Christie Divac Webber and Peja were almost like a superteam they did not had big 3 but starting 5 is loaded . No one was role player in lineup. Every night other guy was superstar. Best team in history the way basketball should be played.
It's closer that what you think. Prime Kemp was a better defender than Webber. While being a bit less efficient Webber was better on offense than Kemp (better scorer, more versatile, a much better passer)
