I'm a Knicks fan, my favourite player was Charles Barkley, but yeah, Warriors were really fun to watch play. They feared no one and you could see they were living their passion on the court. Webber is probably my second favourite power forward of all-time, despite his injuries, he was smart enough to add new things to his game that helped him stay a great player. Sad to see so many players deserved a championship and never got one.
If only the Warriors had a better ownership/management/coaching this team could have dominated the NBA for years. Such a shame Timmy and Sarunas didn't play due to injuries that year but WoW did WEBBER, SPREE and MULLINS put on a show!!!
Management and coaching? You think Don Nelson was bad? He was both at the time. He constructed that team and coached them; Webber refused to play Center the following season - that was the downfall.
Don’t forget Billy Owens. It’s a damn shame Webber refused to play Center the following year. They won 50 games w/o Hardaway. With the Bulls, I don’t know about a championship, but they DEFINITELY go to the NBA Finals with this roster. Such a shame it blew up 💣
These were the years it seemed the GSW kept losing great players to other teams. At the time I didn't really understand or pay much attention to contracts, free agency and trades. But I would just be bummed seeing these players on other teams the next season.
Nice highlights of basketball player Chris Webber of Golden State Warriors. I remember when Chris dunked on Charles Barkley of Phoenix Suns in the playoffs. Chris Webber was very good.
Shame he got injured and had to retire early in his swansong final season with the Warriors. It would have been a nice way to say sorry for the acrimonious departure all those years ago.
