Top 10 Best Dribblers of All time (Real list). This is the real list of the Top 10 best dribblers in the history of football by what is produced on the pitch. Video Made By FUN SPORT TIME. If you like the video, SUBSCRIBE.
Ronaldo Nazario de Lima. This guy must be made in laboratory by scientists😂. Its like when you put the best skills in one player. Speed like Mbappe. Pace and enginee like Messi. Dribbling like Ronaldinho and Neymar. For Zidane, Seedorf, Mourinho, Zlatan and others the biggest talent in history.
Ronaldinho Gaúcho. I saw them all since 1990 even Maradona and nothing compares to Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Maybe The oldest players that I didn’t have the chance to watch we’re way better but Ronaldinho rescue football from the boredom. Such a real incredible time…
U never watched Pele in the 90s. Pele was a 70s guy. But truth be said, Dinho simply perfected the art of dribbling. Messy is a runner. Not a dribbler.
He was crazy and he was not full of injuries… losing or winning and having a terrible day, the expectation on one single magic was so so incredible… and he always did something that let you talking about after the match like “no way he did that…”
No. Messi is the most complete. Ronaldo goalscorer and dribbler. Messi is goalscorer, dribbler, great passer, free cicker etc. And all of these various in highest level.
Good list. For me the top 20 is: 1. Lionel Messi 2. Ronaldo Nazário 3. Maradona 4. Johan Cruyff 5. Pelé 6. Roberto Baggio 7. Paulo Futre 8. George Best 9. Garrincha 10. Dragan Stojkovic 11. Ronaldinho 12. Neymar 13. Eden Hazard 14. Zico 15. Pablo Aimar 16. Alfredo Di Stéfano 17. Joaquín Sánchez 18. Andrés Iniesta 19. Okocha 20. Savicevic
@@ComicalBeing0210 Thanks for your reply. Hazard isn't what I would call a dribbler as such because I can't recall seeing him run with the ball for more than about 3-5 seconds max and often not even that long. I havent seen every minute of his playing career of course but have seen a lot of his games. Compared to many others who went on longer runs with the ball though, taking it past many players makes me place Hazard in a different category. Brilliant player not in doubt, he could easily jink past a couple of players explosively and shoot and score but I don't think that is enough to describe him as a dribbler, its beating one or 2 players quickly and releasing the ball and thats a different skill in my opinion. Its not a criticism of him as I think of him as a great player but its a criticism of the idea that he is in the top 10 dribblers of all time because thats just not true when there are other players who did more dribbling than him
He is the only guy who looked more unreal than players in video games. Being able to change directions at this speed, no wonder why he destroyed his legs
Yep, and he is truly underrated by many pundits, which really pisses me off. Idiots saying he might have been as good as R7 or Messi if had not gotten injured. He was better without a doubt in his prime and even after injury when he was fit and his weight condition (under-active thyroid issue) didn't wear him down he still played better than both of them.
Maradona shined at the time that tackle from behind was allowed, teams reached the height of defensive tactics, and shins were not protected. Still he outshined everyone else in history.
Because he was special better than all of them he played in Serie A when it was brutal and technical they would try and break his fucking legs and he would salsa dance around
Every era has its difficulties. Current defenders are way better (in every aspect, and by far) than Maradona's era. More technical, more physically apt, better prepared physically and mentally. Also modern defensive tactics are also way way better than Maradona's era, don't get confused. On the other hand, like you mention, in Maradona's era tackling was I think at the height of its brutality (hence the rule changes) because defensive tactics had evolved and defenders started to be better prepared (you couldn't just throw some bully at the position anymore). Defending was now considered the base for a good attack (this is why people confuse with "this era defending was the hardest one", which is totally WRONG). Also the pitches were much worse, making ball control more difficult.
As an Englishman I can truly say that there is one player indisputably #1 and that is Maradona, he was simply at another level and even as a teenager made world class defenders look slow and clumsy. Messi is a generational talent but he isnt at Maradonas level...no one is.
@@ramen-fe4on let me be the Judge for all the comments. Base on taller in heights, the name will start first... Pele & Maradona, both is No.1 Ronaldo & Messi, both is No. 1 So we have 4 players that stood for No. 1 position!! 👉for those who argue with my frank assessment, will be fine or sent to jail !!
Football today is faster and more competitive. For how long was Maradonna consistent? Messi stunned the world at 17 years of age, and has been doing so since then - he is 36 now and still making magic on the pitch. His stats on top of just watching his brilliance on the pitch, is the reason he is literally the greatest of all time.
With players like Cruyff, Best, Garrincha and Pele... People forget that the match balls that they dribbled with in those times would've weighed like bricks. Pretty accurate ranking all things considered but I wholeheartedly think that Ronaldinho should've ranked much higher.
I agree Totally where the Asssssss would shocking Messi come as #1 was this a pay out , when it comes to dribbling a ball and assists Ronaldinho has the highest IQ OF ALLLLLL
@@andersonpadmore6135 Roni for sure the most magician one, but dribbling is not only about tricks, look at Messi how in his prime and after, he let 5 players looking the ground, absolutely demolishing
I was taken to my first professional game by my father in 1964 ( Chelsea 0 v Man Utd 2 ) and the greatest dribbler I have seen since then was George Best. He had incredible balance and seemed to be able to glide over the "glue pot" muddy pitches of the day ( unlike the bowling green pristine pitches modern players benefit from ) and had to contend with vicious tackles from behind. A true genius. Whether you can say any of these players were the best of "All Time" is a bit superfluous as there is very little or no footage of football players from the early part of the 20th century up to the 1950's. Players such as Stanley Matthews were heralded as "the Wizard of the dribble". Better to say they were the best of their time.
I thought exactly the exact thing as you, I,ve played on heavy puggy pitches no comparison , on top of that the ball weighed a ton being wet and muddy best was the best in my opinion , puts these prima Donna,s to shame, and as you said absolutely hacked to pieces but didn,t go down at the first chance..
Yes I remember the heavy footballs which when wet doubled in weight ( no wonder a lot of those older ex players suffered dementia ) . I played semi pro in the late 60's early 70's and was a forward. The legacy from that is I have had one full knee replacement and another expected and shins show the holes from the over the top tackles with metal studs. Men were men no rolling about feigning injury in those days @@Wanbon1
Are you talking about rough tackles? Do you know many awful tackles did Pelé, Maradona and Messi endured? Pitches were bad for defenders as well. When you have to defend on a pot holed pitch with the ball bumping into holes and changing detection it's not easy to defend. Sometimes you can get injured just by the pitch. So don't try to find excuses for Best because Pelé, Garrincha played in the same conditions. Today players like Messi are studied using technology, how he carries the ball, how he moves and so forth, it's not easy to surprise people who have been studying your playing style for years.
Not sure where you are coming from in your summation about defenders and "pot holed " pitches I would just like to emphasise that Pele thought George Best was the greatest player he ever saw ( George Best was the greatest footballer I ever saw and played the game more like a Brazilian than a European. It is one of football's biggest disappointments that our paths never crossed when we were at our peak.) It's just a matter of fact that up to recent times when grass and pitch technology greatly improved (along with the footballs used ) that in Britain and Northern Europe which suffer from heavy rainfall, frost and snow during the winter months often pitches were a sea of mud how footballers of that era ( attackers and defenders) managed to play any decent football was a tribute to them . I would also point out that Pele and Garrincha played all their club football in Brazil apart from Pele having a short stint with New York Cosmos before he retired. I wonder how they would have coped having to play in wet, freezing cold Manchester in the middle of February in the 50's and 60's and being hacked from behind by the likes of Norman Hunter and Ron "Chopper" Harris ?@@ntambua_mbombo_official
@@xxhahjexx6969 I wouldnt call R9 the GOAT since the guy didn’t even reach his peak and I haven’t seen all players that have played throughout the history. However, I bet you would struggle to think of a more talented player than R9. He had it all at elite level at the age of 20, apart from playmaking which started developing in Inter just before he got hurt. Haven’t seen anyone with that combination of technique, strength, speed. You maybe have seen, I don’t know.
@@xxhahjexx6969 btw Ronald is not playing today, he has been retired for more than a decade. Your response doesn’t make any sense. You just hating to strangers
Jay Jay Okocha Pioneered the modern day highly technical skills and dribbling. His dribbling is not one way dribbling but multifaceted all at the same time.
I wouldn't disagree with this list, except to say that in the Old days, players had to contend with rough pitches, and even rougher defenders. My tops are Messi, Pele, Maradona, Ronaldinho, and George Best.
Ronaldinho is the best , he have speed, skills unmatched, finishing incredible and presence of mind . He can use his entire body in this beautiful game of football....❤
Did you know George Best was double-jointed in both ankles?? Thats why his directional change and how he kept the ball made him different to other players in that era.... He was ahead of his time...
Because people learn from eachother. Anyhow, a normal list of 100 best players ever have 30-40 dribblers, but only 3-4 extraordinary dribblers. Check out Bernard Vukas, he was natural born for it. There are others also who never comes into any list at all.
Now Brazil are producing overrated dribblers that just rely on speed. And not close control, balance and ball control. Neymar is the last extraordinary dribbler they produced.
Never seen someone like Ronaldo. He ran at the defenders and quite literally went through them at rocketship speed like a high speed train. Meanwhile he was also using skill moves effectively most of the time which is what really separates him from the likes of Ronaldinho
Bravo !!!🙏🙏🙏👍👍...give the man a cigar !!!.....yes indeed !!!, He was the very first maestro to grace the world with his mesmerising skills !! What these players are doing is reaping the rewards of the foundation layed by the legendary greats !!
Amen to that Trivia. My Father was playing in the days of Garrincha, When i watched George Best, Pele. Maradone and Cruyff, etc, play in the flesh, I go excited and I declared them as the best most skillful Players ever. He gave me one of those Father smiles that said "aww, bless him, he really does not have a clue" and made me sit down and watch Garrincha play from some old reels he had. He told me, "Watch the Master at work, every Footballer you see pull off a trick to beat the opposition today, he did years before. Think of James Brown and how many Artists have copied him through the years...that is Garrincha." He was right. To say Messi is the best dribble ever, is the most idiotic thing I have read today and probably all year. Given the conditions that footballers play in these days. Given the science behind the game, the boots they play with, the balls, the carpets they play on and given how much Players are wrapped in cotton wool and protected, that is a ridiculous statement to make. Next this idiot will be telling us that Messi, game for game, is the greatest goal scorer ever.
@@neovarleydownes9109 It is the nature of sports that today's greats are greater in absolute terms because they stand on the shoulders of giants. The truly great ones take the innovations of the past and improve on them. I agree with everything you say until the very end. I have never seen anyone but Messi to consistently getting past so many players attacking him at the same time. And I've seen the old reels, and watched Maradonna, Platini, Rummenigge and other greats play entire matches. They were my idols. But nobody holds a candle to the dribbling of Messi.
@@guittadabe5214 I hear what you are saying and of course, as far as Messi is concerned, he (in my opinion) along with Ronaldo, are the best of their Generation. As I have already written, I just hate this comparing. it is impossible to take a Player from the 30's through to late 80's and say "X is a better Player than Y", because everything was/is different. And i am sure i do not have to tell you, I mean EVERYTHING. I wont go into again what is different, because as I have written, everything was/is lol. Not only that, i am sure we can all find an argument as to why X,Y.Z, is better than A.B.C and argue that fact until the cows come home. As this Thread has proven, everyone has a different opinion as to why X,Y,Z should be in that top 10 and A,B,C should not. Again I hear what you are saying, but you cannot watch Garrincha, Maradona, Best, etc, the way they used to glide past Players, on the excuses called a football pitch and then watch Messi doing the same on the "carpets" he plays on and say "Oh yes, Messi is the best. " I am 70, I played Pro football, although sadly not good enough to play for an elite Club, but i did ok :0) Like most Players of my era, I started off Semi-Pro on a Saturday and also playing for my local Club on a Sunday, just for fun and to help them out, where I spent more time trying to negotiate the lumps and pumps of the football pitch,i f you could call it that, getting on with a ball that was more like a medicine ball, boots that would have been better served in a Coalmine, etc.. some years later I played my first Cup Game that was worth a toss and that was on the turf of Bayern Munich...Oh...my...sweet Jesus...No wonder Messi can do what he does. My Gran could do what he does on pitches like that and she has been dead going on 40 years. The REAL class, for me anyway, is being able to do it on a pitch resembling a Cowpat. Just watch Garrincha, Best, Cruyff and the like and take note of the pitches they applied their skills on....no way can you compare Messi to them and I am sorry and as I have written 50 times already, I do hear what you are saying and "up to a point" you do have a point, but it is just not viable. You say "Messi glides past Players" and he does, but this is 20021, the era where you dare not breath on an opposition Player for fear of getting sent off, there is no way Messi could play in the 70's against Liverpool, with Tommy Smith, Lawrenson, Hansen in the Team and "glide" past them. Or Chelsea and Harris, Leeds and Hunter, Bremner, Charlton and I can just see Messi playing against Milan and have Maldini watching him "glide" past him :0) I would love to be playing football in 2021and in the late 90's onward, I WOULD be playing for Bayern, Juventus, Chelsea, City, Real. In fact i would go as far as to say, compared to yester-year and everything about football, compared to todays game, it would be a joy...and with the skills I had...a complete doddle :0) So you see, although i DO think Messi is a great Player, the best EVER?....Naaah! lol
@@robeltonicholas2350 I would add to it the fact that those greats hadn’t face an indestructible mountain of man like chiellini , or ramos , or that freak called van dijk , and the list goes on to show that there is an art to defending that was evidently lacking in the past .
Many of the Brazilians and Europeans dribblers including Ronaldinho all learned their tricks from Okocha of Nigeria. He never got the international recognition and credits he deserved for his skills.
Pele, Cruyff, Maradona and Messi have less tricks, but they are more effective in passing between many players. This is more important for winning matches
@@flameone99 I don't think they are exactly the same. Maradona was flashier and Messi was better at dribbling in tighter places/situations with less momentum; Messi's dribbling in those situations is what separates him from everyone although Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Neymar were great at it too
exactly, Pele played differently than everyone else around him. watched the match (old record). There was a feeling that only one player can play in two teams
He was 3 decades ahead of his time. With Messi, he is a newer version of Maradona, almost identical at times, not futuristic. The guy who still seems from the future is Ronaldo. No one still has done what he did on the pitch. He was unbelievable
Messi, Maradona and Cruyff: ahead of their times….in terms of a striker of all time, R9 Ronaldo was and will always be the best striker ever. He was just an unstoppable beast with speed, power, strength, technique and finishing at his peak….
Messi dribbles 4 or 5 players every time he plays, and he's been doing it for 16 years. There is no comparison with any other player, neither Maradona nor Pele, nor Ronaldinho. That is the difference. Ronaldinho had four or five years at the highest level, Messi, I repeat, has had this same level for 16 years, not even Maradona played like this for so long, the same for Zidane, Rivaldo, Platini, Romario, etc. Messi is the best every day he plays.
@@gabrielkemlo64 The way I see it, at his best he was at least as good as Ronaldo. But we all have different subjective opinions. Likewise, I personally consider Gianfranco Zola a better direct free kick taker than Pirlo, Messi, CR7, R. Baggio, Platini... If I could put together a dream team, I'd have Batistuta, Stoichkov, R9 in attack and Zola as a SS.
I'm old enough to have seen most of these players play in the flesh. Not so far back as Pele though. Back in the day, I had quite a bit of disposable cash and would travel long distances to see some of these players. Many times I got to see Ronaldo Nazário when he played for PSV Eindhoven. He was not called the Phenomenon for nothing. He was so good it seemed he wasn't from this world. He was quite simply the best footballer I have ever seen. He had it all.
Many of them. This list is Sh***. No Iniesta (el maestro), no Ryan Giggs, no Zidane, no Paulo Futre, no Eusebio, no Gheorghe Hagi, no Luis Figo, no Pablo Aimar, no M. Platini and the list goes on...

@@richardbogart4653 He won his first world cup ate the age of SEVENTEEN!!! And he is the only player to have won three world cups. Whoelse did something like that? Who? Messi won his first only now, and dont blame the rest of the team. Argentina have lots of quality players in majors leagues, even before 2022 title. Despite playing only one game in 1962, he scored one beautiful goal. He won two world titles playing for Santos, and you should keep in mind that at that time Santos made more money playing friendly games, because people from all countries wanted to see Pelé playing. That's why he has a lot of goals and was the most famous football player. Despite being short, he was able to jump higher than CR7. A lot o dribbles were invented by Pelé, by the way. Calling Pelé a fraud it's a sacrilege. You clealy dont know what you're talking about, you must be racist, can't handle the fact that the King of football was black. So fuck you 🖕
@@pauloricardosilveira1799 He got lucky playing in a golden generation, and this was proven when they LITERALLY won WITHOUT him in 1962 (of course the fraud claims this as his win despite only playing one game). And despite "winning" 3 titles (actually 2, you fraud) against plumbers and farmers he doesn't hold a single world record. Most goals scored overall? Nope. Most goals in per world cup? Never. Most WC wins? Nope. The funniest part is that he doesn't even hold these records if you consider just Brazilians. So much for his world cup campaign. Next, anyone can stat-pad against plumbers in unofficial games. But, if you want to consider these laughable "goals" then he still gets beaten by many others: Gerd Müller scored more (1483), Puskas scored more (1571), Josef Bican scored more (1813+). etc. again the fraud his exposed. Now let's talk about his club career and Santos. When he's not stat-padding against LITERAL PLUMBERS AND FARMERS his stats were not impressive at all: 34 goals in 84 games (0.44 GPG) for the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Trash. Cope all you want, facts are facts. He's a fraud and you never watched a single full game of him.
Ronaldinho is the best (ever), and number 1. Noone else is near him. Past or present. If he is on the podium at number 1 - then, 2nd and 3rd places should be empty. Incredible vision, amazing accuracy, unbelievable ball control with any part of his body, the most love for the game itself, always smiling, always in the good mood. NEVER looking like he is trying hard (btw, the only player of his level, who never looked like he was trying really hard). All these are combined look of a true and unsurpassed genius of the game.
stupid ru, it's about dribbling Ronaldinho was the best when it comes to eye-catching dribbling Messi is better when it comes to effective and efficient dribbling, that's why he is the best footballer in history and dealer, because no one has had so many successful dribblings in the history of football

Ronaldinho = a phenomenon. George Best was amazing - he played on terrible pitches, where referees gave little protection from thuggish defenders. In my view the greatest player not to have been in a World Cup final.
The thing with messi is that he’s so goddamned tiny that the defenders around him are afraid to challenge him near the goal because he can sell a dive so well.
What has got to be taken into account is both the ball and the pitches of the day. Makes a huge difference. Days gone by heavy mudy pitches and heavy leather balls especially when wet.
i think R9 deserves 1st position if we talk about dribbling skills, his movements are very natural and elegant, his elastico and step over are also special and incredibly fast as he can change between left or right foot while dribbling the ball because he can do dribble not only with his right foot but also with left foot, and lastly he was a nightmare for the big name defenders and goal keepers at that time with the fact that he made 88 goals by rounding the goal keepers and gave people who watched him play the feeling of joy everytime he touched the ball in the field for me, despite his injury, his lifestyle, lack of discipline and all of the problems he had, he is still untill now the best player out there in terms of pure talent
@@TraderSamsara ??? What’s a better ending than being remembered as one of the greatest dribblers of all time? then none of us all will have a nice ending, nobody lives forever or stay young forever.
Pele, Cruyff and Maradona were too good for their generation the difference in ability is by a mile these guys were too good to be born in those times for real
Cruyff did not dribble, he just passed the ball from point A, where he was, to point B, where he was going to be. Ronaldo was a Panzer tank, but his legs were so muscular, that his joints sometimes did not resist, he was injured about four years of his carrer. Pele and George Best did marvels in swampy muddy pitches and with a leather ball heavier after had absorbed water ; Garrincha too, although he specialized in the right side of the pitch.
I think those two are like a combination of Messi and CR7. and they are both great players no doubt, but the topic here is dribbling, and ,imo ,neither is better than Messi.
@@JerodimusPrime messi is far better in dribbling, he uses more frequency of touches, and uses more part of his foot while dribbling, Maradona is great at it, but messi is better
@@mikeox-smellsgrim1214 Lol, keep on dreaming. Maradona is by far the best dribbler I've ever seen. Messi can't do half of what Maradona could. Maradona played on pitches that looked like they'd suffered an artillery strike, he played against some of the greatest all time defenders in their prime, and he played in some of the most aggressive defensive leagues in the world like the Argentine Primera División, and Seri A in the 80s, where tackles from behind were allowed and defenders got away with shirt pulling and hacking down dribblers like it was going out of fashion, yet despite all that, I've still not seen a player dribble as well as Maradona in his prime-and yes that includes Messi. Messi wouldn't stand a chance in the 80s Seri A, or in 80s football in general.
Ronaldo R9 is the goat of dribbling. He can do dribbling in static position thanks to his strange body and on movement thanks to his pace. In the video he's the only player who needed the slow motion.
I think Pele was the best player of all time - which included the art of dribbling. His greatest example of this is the goal he scored against Mexico in the 1962 World Cup quarter final. Truly phenomenal. Your video clip also omitted other greats from the past such as Tom Finney and Jimmy Johnstone !
Really fun to look up Ricardo Bochini (one of Maradona's idols), under 60kg super brave player in the 70 and 80s, super skilled fast and impossible to tackle or steal, and very offensive minded. His number 5 Marangoni jokes he never received a pass back from Bochini, he went straight for the goal full speed with dribbling, give and go, and pinpoint passing
Messi is the best in the last 15 years, but Maradona is definitely at a higher level in every aspect, while Pele pioneered practically all the tricks we see today.
I find this video very accurate if we consider the different eras in which the players have played. The only thing I disagree with is the fourth position for Luis Nazario da Lima, who I think should be at the top of the ranking (perhaps the first place is contested with Messi). Ronaldo may have been inferior to the other players on the list in other aspects, but the effectiveness of his dribbling, the consistency with which he was able to get himself in front of the goalkeeper in any situation, making legends like Baresi, Nesta, Maldini and the cream of Serie A's golden era powerless, still remains a mystery to me
exactly, I would say what separates Ronaldo's dribbling from the rest, is that he had this unique style where he always ran at the defenders and somehow went through them. Other players always go around defenders, but Ronaldo seemed to go through them with sheer speed and effective skill moves
Pelè and Ronaldo seem to impress with their ability to dribble short in small spaces and also with speed, their ability to accelerate and decelerate, as well as strength, speed, technique and skill.
Maradona and Messi are something else, the only ones with the ability to pass to the whole team starting from their own area, they are at another level
R9 is the best dribbler. If you analyse all the other players, they rely on speed and acceleration from deep spaces which is much easier to dribble. Where it becomes difficult to dribble is when you operate from the attacking third which is where you have tight defence. R9 is able to do that and also 21% of his career goals is going around the goalkeeper which is preposterous!
@@umershaikh7179 Absolutely. His most famous goal from the halfline came during his time in Barca. Their has been no player in history to have scored that many goals while toying with GK. No one
