I think he's the current longest standing team principal, other than Franz Tost maybe. One of the most ruthless sporting teams in the world and he's still at the top. Although, Marko is said to have quite a controlling stake in the actual racing team, Horner does an immense job.

Horner is pretty much the perfect team principle for a top team. He's a great manager, he's cheeky at the right times and knows exactly how to get under your skin. Very easy to hate, which is exactly what makes him so great.

If anything he's the type of guy you always want to have in your corner, he will tell you exactly how he feels while simultaneously doing everything he can to give you all the support you need as a driver. Max and Perez are the perfect combo out of all the teams in my opinion and the fact they have Ricciardo back as a third driver makes it feel like there's good chemistry all around

2:02 This is what made me love Christian the most out of all the principals. I had some uncertainties about him, but him encouraging and motivating Alex, letting him know his race win will come despite what other feelings he might have is a very strong trait. He keeps his anger and his frustration to himself, not letting them out until he knows they're out of earshot. Compare that to Gunther who gets pissed off too easily and cursed out his drivers to their faces and then got even madder when when of them slammed the door on him (rightfully so). I instantly lose respect for any adult that shouts at another adult to get their way. It's the difference between an abusive and caring father figure to me. I know this just a meme but I had to get this point across.

Yeah I rewatched the first season a couple of times with people I was introducing to the show and was shocked at how shitty Gunther treated Romain Grossjean in the first season. Making fun of him publicly to the team etc

He's an absolute clown, which can be very entertaining for viewers, but unless it's just for the cameras, it's no wonder Haas continues being a bottom team year after year.

Sure his actions may seem hypocritical, but that's because he always tries to gain an advantage for his team, which he and Red Bull are very open about. Toto meanwhile does the exact same thing, but claims he's about "fairness" and Mercedes are "cleaner" than that. Which they aren't, and they don't have to be, I just wish they didn't feel the need to claim the moral high ground. Despite this, I do still like the rest of Toto's character, and he's obviously a great team boss, no one's denying that.

A legend of the sport, and I say that as someone who is finding the current period of his dominance extremely dull. But Horner just comes across as a real guy. Working hard, speaking his mind and generally being quite reasonable, he deserves all the success hes getting after his dedication of the entire period of Mercedes dominance.

@@nakedsnake_ I am not saying he does not deserve it. Maybe he had bad luck (puncture in Baku or so), but thats the game. Hamilton would have won Baku but forgot to take the first corner and stopped. It was his bad luck. I am just saying that the final race was a robbery when Hamilton was robbed. It could have been other driver, I would say the same. It was a direct break of the rules. You know all lapped drivers should have take back the lap before SC had gone out. Instead Masi let go only the cars between Max and Lewis. This was the case. The race should not have ended like this. But anyway, lets enjoy this season, Max is gonna defend his reign and I have absolutely no problem with that. He is the best now. Redbull made a good job, handled well the changes. Mercedes needs more time to be competitive. And Ferrari needs to improve the bad strategies which costed them a couple of wins.
