I used to love heels. I wore New Balance at work (surgeon) so when I was off I'd switch to killer 4" heels. And paid the price: 5 foot surgeries. Today, I go to 3", no more.
I like how he says he was a 'good boy' and I have to laugh. He was hanging out at Paris dance hall bars at 12 years old and watching showgirls. It is amusing to watch former gay 'party boy' Christian evade the truth that while he slept around with gay men it was not until he was 27 and was working as a landscaper for his wealthy older gay lovers business. He describes the situation as it was his older friend (translation... 'sugar daddy') that helped (translation... bankrolled) him so Christian could start his business. Reminds me of Chanel who had an older wealthy aristocrat (translation... 'sugar daddy') bankroll her business. Other famous fashion designers who used sex with older wealthy lovers who paid all the bills are, Carolyn Roehm and Diane Von Furstenberg. Proof again that it is not what you know... but who you blow!
I agree. Out of all the footwear designers, C.L. is the best... at least in regards to SOME of the designs that I love [Lady Peep, Lady Gres, Lady Daf, Lady Highness, Dafsling, Daffodile, Very Prive, Pigalle, Highness, etc.].
If I were one of his sisters (one of the witches..lol), I wouldn't need to wear any other brand but then, I'd be in the the business designing shoes with him. His shoes are pieces of creative art, with the mention of others like Guiseppe Zinotti, Brian Artwood etc who also design spectacular shoes. I'm a shoesnogger!!!
Add Jimmy Choo, Charlotte Olympia, Casadei, Gianmarco Lorenzi, and the lower end brands like Steve Madden, Jeffery Campbell, Betsey Johnson, etc. to the mix.
I agreed: Some women can look fragil, but is because they dont know how to walk in high heels, and some other can look stronger.!! Its a matter of asking yourself, if you really know how to walk on high heels?
@venusrevolution Really???... that is my first time hearing that... never met the man... but through some friends who have personal and business relationships wit' Mr. Louboutin... I always hear he is a very pleasant and humble individual.... even wit' all his success... he seems very down to earth....
This guy just GETS women and that alone makes me want to buy his shoes, the fact that he gets women is like a perscription and his shoes are the medicine, he's kind of like a shoe doctor :) coz lets be honest, classy women dont want to buy medicine from a drug dealer!
is like when people buy name brand clothing and stuff, they think that is giving them style, money don't buy any of this, is like thinking PARIS HILTON is beautiful, IS NOT HOT
Well, the prime example of a guy who does nothing valuable but managed to stilize his unimportance untill he belives himself to be something else that just a guy who can make shoes. If I got the chance to talk to him,I'd give him the advice to invest in real quality and technologie for once and not only mediocre design and I'd pat him on the shoulder, saying that it's ok to be just a guy who makes trivial things, just stop ripping off insecure and stupid women with it...
