@@karlholde6901 I’ve produced music and I can tell you you’re making a common mistake. The keyword in autotune is auto, as in automatic. It’s a specific program that automatically adjusts the pitch of a singers voice to fit a specific set of notes in a key. It is commonly used by artists like T-Pain to get that somewhat robotic sound and one of the earliest examples is Believe by Cher. Autotune is most definitely not used in all professional music recordings. What is used in almost all modern music recordings is pitch correction, most commonly using a tool called Melodyne. Unlike auto-tune, Melodyne is used by the music producer to make slight adjustments in pitch and pitch variation/vibrato to get a more polished sound. The big difference is for a good singer with good takes, you slice together the best takes and make only very small adjustments here and there with Melodyne. The end result is that the vocals are much more natural than you could get with an automatic algorithm like autotune. Some people like the vocal effect you get with autotune and use it for stylistic effect, but for a recording like this one, it is not the tool.

Being as old as I am, I seem to recall some politicianin congress telling women to keep an asprin between their knees as a sarcastic response to efforts to legalize birth control back in the late 50's or early sixties. Back when woman were still considered property the same way Republicans veiw them now.

Kate Micucci (Oates) has also been in quite a few movies and shows (also in TBBT). They have a lot of pretty funny songs like "Weed Card", "Pregnant Women Are Smug", and "Sex With Ducks" (making fun of Pat Robertson's comment about how legalizing gay marriage will lead to people having sex with ducks).

I love this. I went to a Christian school for 2 years and this is so accurate. We had the “six inch rule.” Nobody paid attention to it. The captain of the basketball team got the captain of the volleyball team pregnant. We were very (late) 90s. I wish I could have filmed the principal giving a speech to the school in the gym while I showed what was actually going on. That school was openly raunchy. I don’t follow any religion now because I’ve given up things that hurt me, but I still have some nostalgia for that place. At least it was entertaining.

I married in the early 1980s. Because my wife wanted a traditional ceremony in a church we chose a catholic thing. Therefore we had to go a kind of marriage training the catholic way with other marriage candidates beforehand. I only can remember 2 things. We had to draw a tree on a piece of paper with one pencil and with one hand of each of us on the pencil, so that we had to draw it together to teach us cooperation. I ended up drawing and she simply followed my lead. I assume that is the way the Catholic church wants to have it anyway. But more importantly we got schooled by a medical doctor (who actually was a pathologist) about how babies are made. But at least a quarter of the women there was already visibly pregnant and most likely quite a few more where it wasn't visible yet.

These 2 are hilarious, the brunette is Kate Micucci and the blond is Riki Lindhome, they are both actresses, although, Riki is the more famous of the duo, having even been in Knives Out, but they had their own comedy series and both had guest roles on The Big Bang Theory. If you are at all interested, the movies, Dogma by Kevin Smith and Monty Python's: Life of Brian are both wonderful, religious comedies, definitely worth a watch.

Life of Brian is indeed a rare masterpiece. (Monty Python also produced quite a few fantastic and funny songs to go along with there movies and sketches, not just the ones in Life of Brian.) To be fair, Jesus Christ Superstar is also on of those masterpieces imho.

Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci both had parts in big bang theory. Micucci appeared in eight episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" after her character was introduced in the seventh season in 2013. The actress played Lucy, a socially awkward graduate student and the girlfriend of Raj. Riki Lindhome played Ramona Nowitzki, a graduate student (later doctor) who was attracted to Sheldon, in three episodes of The Big Bang Theory ("The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem," "The Long Distance Dissonance," and "The Proposal Proposal"). They have both been in multiple other TV series. Riki has had a family and has a Song out now called now called "Don't Google Mommy" the lyric video. You should react to it. They are most famous for their RU-vid series Garfunkel and Oats. Kate Micucci also has a child but is currently battling Lung Cancer despite never having smoked :(

I had a summer housemate who was a member of our college’s Campus Crusade for Christ. When I first met her she told me that she was a virgin and had to keep her hymen intact for marriage. you said something about what "people did to religion", but religion was a lot more extreme in the past... especially Christianity. The current version is the mellow feelgood sky daddy fairytale stuff and Jesus has good ethics and stuff, but that's because people took something really extreme and gradually made it less extreme to adapt to the development of global, diverse, scientific human culture. Thousands of religions were invented by people a long time ago and people made them different, sometimes better and sometimes worse, but they are always just a reflection of the society they are part of, and current human societies are far less violent, barbaric, sexist, racist, etc than past societies, which really shows how bad it was in the past. Bible, Koran, etc literally condone slavery, violence, etc that almost current societies reject.
