Actually, his books are hard to read. The language changes. Nevertheless, he lived in times very very similar to ours, weak ummah, lots of sects coming to the surface, Christine Occupation, preaching Christianity, Mongols destructions, Mongol leaders pretending to be Muslims but ruling by laws they made up. That's why reading his work is like reading from someone living with us.

Ibn Tamiyya was absolutely ignorant of christian doctrine. And also, all I see is an accusation of innovation, while he is clearly innovating interpretations about the bible. Like his interpretation about “baptise in the name of The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. As if that is not innovated😂. Such a hypocrite. He also says things like “Who was in charge of the heavens when Christ died” as accusation. As if christians believed the eternal divine nature died😂😂

@@mbarnabeus It is official doctrine that the divine eternal never parished or damaged. It’s language bro. Jesus is a divine person, cause he has a divine nature (with his human nature)But those two nature’s DO NOT mix. So the eternal divine nature didn’t became truly flesh or anything like that. Muslims interpreting it that way is just pathetic. He took on flesh. Athanasius in “On the incarnation” said it properly: God the Son wielded the flesh

thank you this is beautiful. Ibn Taymiyah is a beacon of knowledge in dozens of subjects. knows them all by heart. and understands those subjects really well. and he’s one of the best logicians of all time. he was also very brave in his time. May Allah have mercy on him and forgive him. People who bad mouth him don’t have the mental and spiritual capability to go through his texts and books and they talk without knowledge. He was not perfect, but he was a rare type of scholars. and should only be approached with respect regardless if a person agrees with him or not. and I don’t think this should be your last video about him :) I love to learn more about him and others. avoiding mentioning ibn taymiyah when it comes to theology, fiqh or logic is like avoiding mentioning Muhamad Ali on a boxing channel!!

Surah Fussilat 41 : 37 prohibiting muslim to worship sky objects (sun, moon, stars) is recited by Muhammad (because he's illiterate) 3-5 years (AD 613-615) after he proclaimed as a prophet of allah in AD 610. He copied the Jews' Tanak (Bible: the Old Testament) Exodus 20 : 4, Deuteronomy 4 : 19 & 17 : 3 that Yahweh, the God of Israel that's worshiped by Abraham, Ishaq & Yakub, forbids the Israelites to worship sky objects but Q 6 : 77 muslims used to worship the moon goddess 🌙 & Q 53 : 49 Sirius the brightest star used to be Allah. William Tisdall says in his book "The Original Sources of the Qur'an - Its Origin In Pagan Legends and Mythology" during that time Muhammad followed some of Jewish's, Christian's & the Sabian belief and practices. At that time he was still befriended wth them. He had access to Jewish's, Christian's & the Sabians (ancient people of Mesopotamia (nowadays Iraq until southern Syria) scriptures. He admitted the rightful Inhibitans of Israel in the Palestinian's land (Quran 5: 20-26), Jews & Christian are good friends. They'll go to heaven., but quran 5:82 to hate the Jews but Christians are the kindest to muslim, fight & slaughter the Jews (Sahih Muslim, Book 41, Hadith 6981 & 6985), quran 5:14 to hate Christians, quran 9:29 to fight theJews & Christias, 5 : 51, 1 : 7 the Christians & Jews are the cursed ones. Muhammad ordered muslims to pray 5x/ day to curse them, the Pact of Omar in AD 717, allah turned the Jews into pigs & monkeys Q 2 : 65 & 5 : 60, 7 : 163, rats are made from the Jews Sahih Al Bukhari, book 54, Hadith 524, cut the neck & fingers of the disbelievers Q 8 : 12 & 47 : 3 - 4, to kill the non muslims Sahih Al Bukhari Vo. I, p. 13, Q 9 : 14, to wipe out non muslims Q 6 : 44 - 45 & many more. Why there are many contradictions ??? The turning point is in AD 624. Muhammad wanted to be accepted as their new prophet (the Jew were waiting for their Masiah & the Christian were waiting for the coming of Christ for the 2nd time). When they rejected him he turned against them. Muhammad quarrelled with the Jews in AD 624 in Medina. Muhammad chased, killed & expelled them out of the Arabian Peninsula.... W. Tidall, p. 39. In the same page says in the same year Muhammad performed his 1st 'Idu'l Adha. While the Jews slaughtered lambs Muhammad slaughtered 2 kids. One for his people & one for himself. Book of Dr. Daniel Alan Brubaker "Corrections in Early Qur'an Manuscripts". Dr. Dan says, "There are thousands seemingly endless deletions & insertions in the early quranic manuscripts (7th century)". Quran is just a man made book. Western & European historians are free from religious oppression, intimidation & collusion. Not like their fellow muslim historians in their muslim countries. Eventhough they don't live in muslim countries but they're still bound with their religion. By making a report which is contrary to the quran & islamic rules and agreements the muslim historian could still face death threat, eg. Salman Rushdie. Salman actually didn't make any report which is contrary with the quran. It's already there ! Q 22 : 52 (read the interpretation of the verse by Ibn Kathir, 1999 printing, vol 5, p. 441).

The turning point is in AD 624. It's explained near the end of this reply. You shouldn't rely on the quranic verses only but you've to know the time & history of Muhammad. You should know the reason(s) why this/ that verses were written & when. Read book of William St. Tisdall. I've got one. Google who's he & his achievements. Western/ European historian can investigate any historical event free of religious oppression. The reports will be published & debated in the public. If the author is lying/ making up a story he/ she could be persecuted by the government for making false statements in attempt to gain personal's interest (eg. money by selling his/ her books or famous name but by deceiving people). You can't do it the the democratic Western & European countries but you can do it muslim countries after collaborating with their imams. Ibn Katheer al-Dimashqi (701 AH - 774 AH), the author of the famous interpretation, and the book “The Beginning and the End in History” and others. 3.Muhammad ibn Abd al-Hadi al-Maqdisi (704 AH - 744 AH) is the author of Al-Muharrir fi Al-Hadith, and other books. 4. Shams al-Din al-Dhahabi (673 AH - 748 AH), the modernist, author of the Sir Flags of Nobles, and the History of Islam. 5. Jamal al-Din al-Mazi (654 AH - 742 AH) is the author of Tahdhib al-Kamal, one of the most important books on which hadith scholars rely. 6. Muhammad ibn Muflih al-Maqdisi (708 AH - 763 AH) his book al-Furoo’ is one of the books approved by the jurists of the Hanbali school of thought, and he has other books. 7. Ahmad ibn al-Hasan, known as Ibn Qadi al-Jabal (693 AH - 771 AH), authored a number of works on jurisprudence and its origins, and was a brilliant debater. Among the students of his disciples : Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (736 AH - 795 AH) is the author of Fath al-Bari Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari, and he has well-known and well-known letters. He studied on Ibn al-Qayyim and Ibn Abd al-Hadi The Albanian scholar has strong words in which he who does not read the books of Abi Taymiyyah and Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah will be on the stray.. And if you cannot understand the books of Ibn Taymiyyah, study it from a scholar so that he will understand it for you Ibn Taymiyyah's critical books were a reference for Muslim scholars in refuting deviant Islamic religions and sects. Jon Hoover is wrong. Ibn Taymiyya did believe the Bible is corrupted. Here’s what Ibn Taymiyya actually said: “The majority of Muslims deny both [the proposition] that none of the wording found in the previous sacred books of Christians and Jews has ever undergone textual substitution and that all of its wording was handed down from God. They hold either that tabdil has occurred in some of its formulations, or that it cannot be said with certainty that its expressions were revealed by God. It is not possible to make an argument of the expressions in these books in opposition to what has been already established. Muslims claim that the Torah and the Gospel which the People of the Book today possess are not the products of successive transmission from Moses and Jesus [lam tatawatar 'an Musa wa-'Isa]. The chain of transmission of the Torah was broken first at the time of the destruction of Jerusalem and the expulsion of the Israelites from the city. They state that the one who dictated the Torah to them at a later date was a certain person called Ezra, whom they claim to be a prophet. Some people say that he was not a prophet, but that he only discovered a copy which they found to be ancient. It is also said that he produced a text which had been in the Maghrib. None of this necessitates the successive transmission of every expression nor prevents the occurrence of error in some cases. A similar situation occurs with those books whose copying and collation follows closely upon them, but which are memorized by only a few, perhaps two or three persons. Christians admit that the Gospel which they possess was not written down by Christ nor dictated by him to those who wrote it down. Matthew and John, companions of Christ, dictated it only after the ascension of Christ; moreover, it had not been memorized by the great number of people necessary according to the principles of successive transmission. Neither Mark nor Luke ever saw Christ. All these men stated that they mentioned some of what Christ said and some of his messages, and that they did not have room to mention other words and deeds.” A MUSLIM THEOLOGIAN'S RESPONSE TO CHRISTIANITY p.g 215-216

Yes barakallahufeekum for your wording. He's an orientalist. What I noticed with them: they have an opinion and are looking for something from that which they could use for it. E.g. also that with hell and ibn taymiyyah (Ra) .. that he believed in their finitude. ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said (Majmoo al-Fataawaa 18/37): This narration with this wording is not from the speech of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), but it is from the speech of some of the Scholars. The Salaf of the Ummah, its leading Imaams and all of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah are united that from the created things are those that will never disappear and will never expire completely such as Paradise and Hellfire, the Throne and other than that. And no one spoke of the expiration of all of the created things except a faction from the innovating people of kalaam, such as al-Jahm bin Safwaan and whoever agreed with hiim from the Mu'tazilah and their likes. This is a futile saying which opposes the Book of Allaah, the Sunnah of His Messenger and the consensus of the Ummah and its leading Imaams. www.ibntaymiyyah.com/search.cfm?q=Hell&x=12&y=3 Wa Allahu A3lam

Paul, how do you square away & reconcile your claim & the claim of ibn taymia that Christianity is an innovated religion, which means it was corrupted by Jesus' followers, with this aya: Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 55: And when Allah said: O Isa, I am going to terminate the period of your stay (on earth) and cause you to ascend unto Me and purify you of those who disbelieve and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve to the day of resurrection; then to Me shall be your return, so l will decide between you concerning that in which you differed. (English - Shakir) Here in this aya Allah promises that he will "purify you (speaking to Isa) of those who disbelieve and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve to the day of resurrection;" So, how did this promise of Allah turn upside down & the followers of Isa became disbelievers (innovators) before the day of the resurrection? Why didn't Allah purify Isa from those innovators as he promised? Or, the claim of innovation is an innovation itself? Can you please explain? thank you

Why depend on 2' sources like Hoover or others when you have the actual 1' source (very often literally the manuscript in the person's own handwriting). It makes no sense to take 2' sources as reliable, especially when it contradicts what the actual scholar said. Ibn Taymiyya said very clearly that the gospels are not the same as the Injeel that was revealed to Jesus (pbuh). See al-Jawāb al-Ṣaḥīḥ li-man baddala dīn al-Masīḥ (The Sound Reply to Those Who Altered Christ's Religion for Ibn Taymyyia)

Jon Hoover might be the leading expert in West about Ibn Taymiyyah but he misquotes Ibn Taymiyyah a lot. He presents Ibn Taymiyyah to be against Al-Qur’an which is not right. According to your previous videos with this book Allah sitting on His throne (istawa’ alal arsh) which has a lot of meanings. If you take just sitting, you drawing on a wrong conclusion. Hellfire for disbelievers being eternity, it states in the whole Quran a lot to be eternity. Innovation in Christianity; the Verses he quoted are right but he misunderstood them. The pillars of faith in Islam one of them is to believe in the existence of the previous books which had the same message like Quran(Those books were there but people corrupted them, we don’t believe in the message they are carrying now, we do believe false massage in these books is more than the true message in them) but still we don’t count them out at the same time, we don’t use them to judge. **Maybe Ibn Taymiyyah made mistakes or the writer misquoted some of Ibn Taymiyyah’s writings and he drew on conclusion. In my view if you are looking for the truth, first search in the Quran and hadith then other Islamic scholars’ views but if you are looking for the criticism those are the right kind of books you need .

Paul, a questions regarding what you presented on behalf of Ibn Taymia and it seems you agree with him. You mentioned this aya, Surah Yunus, Verse 94: But if you are in doubt as to what We have revealed to you, ask those who read the Book before you; certainly the truth has come to you from your Lord, therefore you should not be of the disputers. (English - Shakir) As it is widely known that " ask those who read the book before you " refers to the "people of the book" a term which means Jews & Christians. Now, does Allah ask Muhammad to get guidance from people who follow a corrupted & innovated religion? Please explain, thank you.
@rasydan93

According to Al-Tabari when he discussed this verse in his book of Al-Tafseer, the verse meant only for Prophet Muhammad to ensure himself as a prophet. This verse not meant to refer the Jews and Christians for everything regarding the religion. Al-Tabari mentioned that if Prophet Muhammad has doubt about who he is (as a prophet), he may ask the people of the books (Jews and Christians) which they knew about him due to the bible and Taurat mentioned about a prophet will be sent after 'Isa (Jesus).

Ibn Taymiyya reduces the Trinity down to God the father, the son as prophet and the Spirit as Gabriel. Yet if God is father from his very nature then He must be fathering someone else apart from creation. Who is the Father fathering in eternity according to Ibn Taymiyya's theology? If the Father is not fathering someone else in eternity the Father is fathering someone by adoption in temporal time. Who has the Father adopted inside time to have the Father called a Father? If the Father is only father by adopting someone in temporal time the father is only a father nominally and the real identity of the father remains unknown. Who is God the Father of Islam when the Father only acts within creation to be a Father whilst not being a Father from His own life had outside creation? By removing any reference to the Trinity does Islam remove any reference to the intrinsic supernatural life God has in himself apart from creation? If so, does the identity of God in Islam remain unknowable?

They are whom could be called muslims with small m. 3:113 Yet they{here the Jews} are not all alike: there are some among the People of the Book who are upright, who recite Allah’s revelations throughout the night, prostrating ˹in prayer˺. 3:114 They believe in Allah and the Last Day, encourage good and forbid evil, and race with one another in doing good. They are ˹truly˺ among the righteous. 3:115 They will never be denied the reward for any good they have done. And Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of those mindful ˹of Him˺. And also 2:62 Indeed, the believers, Jews, Christians, and Sabians-whoever ˹truly˺ believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good will have their reward with their Lord. So do not grieve for the people who disbelieve. 5:69 Indeed, the believers, Jews, Sabians and Christians-whoever ˹truly˺ believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good, there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve. 2:111 The Jews and Christians each claim that none will enter Paradise except those of their own faith. It must be admitted that the most intelligent and most understanding religious people in interpreting the verses in the holy book are only Muslims because Muslims have a guide who can explain the Koran or the words of Allah swt & that guide is Prophet Muhammad SAW because Prophet Muhammad was given knowledge of wisdom from Allah regarding the verses of the Qur'an that were revealed through the Prophet Muhammad. The wisdom of Allah swt is then carefully recorded and summarized in authentic hadith books. While other religious people cannot receive wisdom from God because the people of the previous prophets liked to oppose, deny and kill the prophets so that they did not have enough time to interpret the verses of God that were revealed correctly and as well as possible. That's why they also added verses in their books in order to be able to interpret God's wisdom, but the result is not perfect even worse because God's wisdom is very different from the wisdom of the scholars & followers of previous prophets who have changed the holy book with their own hands.

Indeed..May Allah grant us understanding of our Deen Ameen Ya Rabb. "Jesus as God" Some Christians claim that "Jesus is God" or part of a trinity - that he is the incarnation of God on earth, and that God took on a human form. However, according to the Bible, Jesus was born, ate, slept, prayed and had limited knowledge - all attributes not befitting God. God has attributes of perfection whereas Man is the opposite. How can anything be two complete opposites simultaneously? Islam teaches that God is always perfect. To believe that God became a man is to claim that God is or was (at some point in time), imperfect. A Christian must ask him/herself, does the idea of a god who was once a weak helpless child, one who could not survive without food, drink or sleep, be the same Almighty God described in the Old Testament? Surely not. One may ask, "If God can do anything, why can't he become a man?" By definition, God does not do ungodly acts. God does not do anything that would make Him, something other than God. If God became man and took on human attributes, he would, necessarily, no longer be God. Some ambiguous verses of the Bible can be applied erroneously to show that Jesus is in some way divine. But if we look at the clear direct verses of the Bible, we see again and again that Jesus is being referred to as an extraordinary human being and nothing more. The Bible contains many verses in which Jesus speaks and behaves as if God is a separate being to himself. For example: Jesus "fell on his face and prayed." (Matthew 26:39) If Jesus was God, then would a God fall on his face and pray? And who would he be praying to? The Bible calls Jesus a Prophet (Matthew 21:10-11), so how could Jesus be God and be God's Prophet at the same time? Jesus said, "I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than me." (John 14:28) Jesus said "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God." (John 20:17) If Jesus was God, then why would he say, "to my God, and your God," and who was he ascending to? If Jesus was God, he would have clearly told people to worship him, and there would be clear verses in the Bible stating this; yet he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: "And in vain they worship me." (Matthew 15:9) "Son of God" Some Christians claim that Jesus is the Son of God. What does this actually mean? Surely God is far removed from having a physical and literal son. Humans have human children. Cats have kittens. What does it mean for God to have a child? Rather than being taken literally, we find the term "Son of God" is symbolically used in the earliest biblical languages for a "righteous person", and has been used for David, Solomon and Israel - not exclusively for Jesus: "...Israel is my firstborn son," (Exodus 4:22). In fact, anyone who is righteous is referred to as God's 'son' : "All who are led by God's Spirit are God's sons and daughters." (Romans 8:14) "It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. He is Perfect and Flawless! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, 'Be' and it is."Quran 19:35 "Father and Lord" In the same way, when the word 'Father' is used to refer to God it shouldn't be taken literally. Instead, it's a way of saying God is the creator, sustainer and supreme master of all. There are many verses for us to understand this symbolic meaning of the word 'Father', for example: "One God and Father of all." (Ephesians 4:6) Also, Jesus was sometimes called 'Lord' by the disciples. This term is used in the original languages of the Bible, for God as well as for people who are held in high esteem. For example, in the Greek New Testament, the term kyrios is used for both 'Lord' as well as to name the owner of the vineyard (Matthew 20:8), and the master who beat the disobedient servant (Luke 20.42-47). In other parts of the Bible, Jesus is even called a 'servant' of God by the disciples: "The God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus." (Acts 3:13) This clearly shows that when 'Lord' is used to refer to Jesus, it is a title of respect, not of divinity. Attempts are made to explain the complexity of the above issues of the nature of God and the nature of Jesus, which can be quite confusing or unsatisfying. However, the key point to ponder is: Why would God make it so hard to understand? How do these complicated teachings compare with the simple, clear and pure teachings of the concept of God in Islam? Jesus: The Prophet In Judaism, Jesus (peace be upon him) is denied as the Messiah. This is in stark contrast to Christianity where he is worshipped as a deity, or the son of God. Islam takes the middle ground and acknowledges Jesus as an honourable Prophet and Messenger of God, as well as the Messiah, but Muslims do not worship him - as worship is for God alone who created Jesus and everything that exists. "(Jesus) said, 'Indeed, I am the slave of Allah (God). He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet.'"Quran 19:30 Miraculous Birth According to the Quran, the Angel Gabriel was sent to Mary, the noble virgin, in the form of a man, informing her of a child who was to be born miraculously without a father. "He (Angel Gabriel) said, 'I am only a messenger of your Lord to announce to you the gift of a righteous son.' She said, 'How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?' He said, 'Thus (it will be). Your Lord says, "It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter already decreed." "Quran 19:19-21 Some claim that his miraculous birth is evidence of Jesus' divinity. However, Jesus was not the first to come into existence without a father, as Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) before him had neither a father nor mother. God says: "The likeness of Jesus before God is as that of Adam; He created him (Adam) from dust, then said to him: 'Be', and he was. This is the truth from your Lord, so be not of the disputers."Quran 3:59-60 If Jesus is worshipped due to having no father, then surely Adam is more deserving of worship since he was created without either parent. Miracles of Jesus Jesus was miraculously conceived with no father and also performed great miracles by the will and permission of God. He spoke as a baby in the cradle to defend his mother against the people who accused her of fornication. The Quran also states that Jesus gave life to the dead, cured the leper and the blind - all by the will of God. The fact that Jesus (peace be upon him) performed miracles does not mean that he was anything more than a humble servant of God. In fact, many Messengers performed miracles, including Noah, Moses and Muhammad (may peace be upon them all) and these miracles only took place by the permission of God, so as to demonstrate the authenticity of the Messenger. Message of Jesus The Prophets of the Old Testament such as Abraham, Noah and Jonah never preached that God is part of a Trinity, and did not believe in Jesus as their saviour. Their message was simple: there is one God and He alone deserves your worship. It is not logical for God to send Prophets for thousands of years with the same essential message, only to suddenly change it, claim that He is now a part of a trinity, and to stipulate the belief in the divinity of Jesus to be saved. The truth is, Jesus preached the same message as all the Prophets in the Old Testament. There is a passage in the Bible that really emphasises this core message. A man came to Jesus and asked, "Which is the first commandment of all?" Jesus answered, "The first of all the commandments is, 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.' "(Mark 12:28-29) So, the greatest commandment, the most important belief according to Jesus, is that God is one. If Jesus was God he would have said, 'I am God, worship me.' Instead, he merely repeated a verse from the Old Testament confirming that God is One. This aligns with the mission of Jesus, as taught in Islam, where Jesus was sent to the Children of Israel to confirm the message of the past Prophets - to believe in the One True God. "And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, '… Indeed, God - He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him alone. This is the only Straight Path.' "Quran 43:63-64 As an honourable obedient Messenger of God, Jesus submitted willingly to God's commands. As such, he was a "Muslim" - which refers to anyone that submits to the will and commandments of God. Jesus in Islam Jesus was as an honourable Prophet sent by God to call to the worship of God alone. This is evident in the Bible and confirmed by the Quran. The Islamic belief about Jesus explains who the real Jesus was, whilst maintaining the pure belief about God and His complete Greatness, Uniqueness and Perfection. We invite our Christian Brothers and Sisters to look further and investigate Islam. It is not just another religion. It is the same message preached by Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad - may peace be upon all of them. Islam means 'submission to God' and is a natural and complete way of life that encourages one to give due attention to their relationship with God and His creation. Islam teaches that God is the All-Just and All-Merciful and does not need to sacrifice himself to forgive sins nor is anyone "born into sin". God judges everyone based on their own deeds and everyone is accountable for their own actions. Islam teaches us to love and respect all the Prophets of God, but loving and respecting them does not mean worshipping them because worship is due only to God. Acknowledging Jesus as a Prophet of God and becoming a Muslim does not mean changing or losing your Christian identity. It is about going back to the original and pure teachings of Jesus.

Isn't this a similar type of unauthorised innovation that took place in Islam during the reign of the khalifahs? In the sense that quran's chapters were shuffled at random, the writing style of the quran was innovated. The call of morning prayer was innovated. The way the hands were folded (or not folded) was innovated. The tarraweh prayers were introduced. All this was innovated afterwards without the concent of prophet Muhammad s.a.w. The Prophet s.a.w gave us a complete Islam in its totality and we introduced innovations. If prophet s.a.w was to come back today, would he be pleased with these unauthorised innovations? Didn't Ibn-Taimiyaah comment on these innovations?

1) The chapter chronology in the Mushaf is fine because no muslim is claiming it was revealed in this exact order. Aishah mentioned the order doesnt matter (in the mushaf) 2) the prophet said ﷺ follow the right guided caliphas after him. Putting the Quran in between 2 book covers was agreed upon by all rightly guided caliphas. Caliphas 3) same with the writing style 4) the call to prayer happened during the prophet’s ﷺ lifetime. 5) the hands being folded is not innovated because the prophet ﷺ put his right over his left. 6) the Taraweeh prayer was introduced during the prophets ﷺ life. He didnt continue out of fear that Allah will make it obligatory and the people will fail to uphold it. When the prophet ﷺ passed away, revelation was complete. So we can still pray taraweeh. Idk how you get it was introduced after??? Islam acknowledges that there will be muslims who do innovations. And Yes, ibn Taymiyyah did speak on muslims doing innovations which is completely wrong. Didnt you understand the difference of these matters and innovations of the jews and christians with their books and prophets???

Whoever mentions Allah's greatness (says Allahu Akbar), praises Allah, extols Allah, and seeks forgiveness from Allah and removes stones from the path of the people, enjoins what is good and forbids the evil to the amount of those three hundred and sixty joints (sulama), he walks on that Day (of Judgment) having distanced himself from the Hell fire."

I assure you he is one of the most important Imams in the Hanbali mathab and all our asaaneed (chains of transmission) go through him. He is often taken out of context. Those things he related according to his ijtihad in matters of aqeeda that are aberrant are accepted as such and a result of his use of kalam which is prohibited in the Hanbali aqeeda. The fact he was buried in the Sufi graveyard is understood that whatever aberrant positions he may have ACTUALLY held, he repented from, and Allah knows best.

Based Ibn Taymiyya Btw wasn't the trinitarian verse a fabrication? I do think this is complex, by one hand, Christians changed the meaning of some terms, then if we do the same, I don't think that's good. It's better to do history first because a lot of the time such verses are fabrications, or mistranslations like that of John 1:1, where THEON and theos are translated as if they were the same word, when obviously they are differentiated as "THE GOD" and "a god"(meaning divine, but not equal, which still to us is wrong tho)

I respect Islam. I often feel compelled to leave Christianity and become a Muslim, but there is still something that I just can’t make sense of: the issue of the crucifixion either not having taken place or (as I’ve heard some Muslim scholars say) Jesus not having died on the cross (despite the spear through his heart?). Lots of things about Islam make more logical sense to me than Christianity, so why does the part about the “non death” of Jesus seem so far fetched to me? I mean no offense whatsoever! It’s obvious that I’m missing something, and I hope I can find more sources about it, so I can finally be at peace with this issue.

This is also the case of the 7 sleepers of Ephesus. It is also demonstrably the case with the 'infancy narratives of Jesus' speaking from the cradle and making clay birds alive, etc - these were adopted from Christian stories written in Syriac and circulating around Syria and Arabia in the 6th, 7th and 8th centuries. These were not 'revelations', but modified stories from previous sources. (if you don't believe me, then buy yourself a copy of "The Apocryphal New Testament" published by Oxford University Press.
