Here is adorable Christina in January 1990 on Regis and Kathie Lee's show promoting her movie MERMAIDS. This is a really fun interview with her. Christina was 9 years old here, almost 10. This is from my collection
@@user-zn9zj4pl4b thanks that how I wanted to say it women and men are the same women say that and men because they say there adorable like that but everyone the same
I was kinda thinking that. Not accusing him of anything..but why was he asking her about boyfriends and stuff, and why was he touching her face? Kinda weird.
how is he creepy ? he just likes children ....not in a sexual way but normal . how sad is it that we came to a point where you can not love children anymore
Adults thinks it's funny and relatable lol I'm like she's a child, that's gross. There was a lot of these creepy questions to kids in the 90's and I don't know why.
Well, in the movie a 26 year old guy has a relationship with a 15 year old girl and it's not considered wrong. Apparently people didn't know what was innapropriate back then.
in the end, that he only asks for it once, like "Do you have a boyfriend at school? " in a funny tone but once, not 40 times, in fact afterwards it becomes embarrassing
This is a great interview. One of the first movies I ever saw Christina in was "Casper," and ever since then I've always really enjoyed her. This interview is a great find.
I enjoyed it too, she was very far ahead of year own age mentally. So much personality for such a young age, and Casper!! what a great movie lol forgot about that bad boy!
So inappropriate Regis, asking her for a kiss, and putting a 9 yr old girl on the spot like that :( . I can't imagine what happened to Christina in Hollywood
Exactly! It’s a classic technique for pedos to use when talking to a young, curious girl/boy. They talk about crushes, the relationships, then eventually sex! It’s disgusting and I’ve been through it before.
My thoughts exactly -already telling little girls indirectly that a boyfriend is important --what has that got to do with acting ? Equivalent of always asking female actors about their make-up and clothes instead of the role.
@@nightynightshadeOkay but what about parents who tease their kids about it cause children can develop crushes too right? I’m not defending creepy behavior but when does it go from asking someone to pedophilic cause that’s a pretty big accusation. I’ve always been teased and asked if I had a boyfriend by family friends I knew they were joking growing up ya it’s weird but my culture is European so people don’t take stuff too seriously.
The entire conversation was weird with their dirty thoughts including the audience laughing with their inner adult jokes 😕 😬😂 I was like this is just creepy 😬
These 80s/90s interviews with child actors were so inappropriate. Always asking little girls if they had boyfriends and expecting them to kiss grown men. I’m glad things have evolved since then. Also making child actors have sleepovers with their adult co-stars? So inappropriate. Christina was incredible though. So mature and well spoken. I love that she rolled her eyes at Regis and didn’t bother to respond when he asked if Cher set her up with a man. You go girl.
People commenting on how smart and articulate she is and I like Christina Ricci so no disrespect - but the questions would have been forwarded to her snd her PR team which is the usual process and her answers and anecdotes would be carefully prepared ahead of time. Like learning a script she can make her responses flow naturally and present a maturity that she may not really possess at that tender age
She was always such a cute little girl and one of my favorite actresses my favorite movies with her in it are the mermaids and Addams Family and everything else she's been in😇😇😇💖💕💕💕
Regis- come on buddy, she’s nine- “did she like the way you went to the bathroom? Did Cher fix you up with a guy? You know how Cher is” “give me a kiss little girl” gross Regis- and very disappointing
***** Well it could of just been the way kids were back then. because I just don't know many kids these days that are as mature as her at that age anymore. In my opinion it was just very hard to believe she was 10 here. Her looks make it believable, but her personality makes her seem like she's 18 or older, to me. Hope that makes sense?
Yeah I know, but something about her just makes her seem like she's older than what she actually is. I only really think this because I've seen some other interviews with 10 year olds in them that were pretty terrible. But hers is one of the first one's I've seen that didn't make me think I was watching a 10 yr old.
I've watched her since Mermaids came along and the way she talks on this interview is exactly how she holds herself in her acting. She has always taken her roles in a very mature way.
@John Scimeca must be nice living in your world. Nothing anyone could say would convince you if you’ve decided to live your life with blinders to other experiences. You’re going to alienate people your entire life because you lack empathy and wonder one day why no one gives a shit about you.
@John Scimeca there are MANY people who think rape is ok. Plenty disgusting people who get off to it. And if you can’t see how fucking creepy Regis is in this interview you’re TOTALLY blind to reality.
the millie bobby browns of the 90s were way less full of themselves, but still similar in their ability to be articulate and confident. at a young age.
