I'm a proud American, & I'm sure the rest of the world is well aware of our tendencies to think everything we have is the best (USA-USA-USA) but I must admit that we have NO talkshow that holds a candle to "The Graham Norton show" Hands down the best, most entertaining talkshow I've ever watched (Sorry "Tonight Show") & very funny 😂👍 I can't believe I've never even heard of it before now! Thanks for posting!

I thought the same. I noticed that he seemed genuinely interested in Ed, and Ed's getting rid of cell phones and taking a whole year off. Also, when Ed was playing you could see that Mathew was on the edge of his seat, truly listening and attentive, and made a point of going around the whole sofa area just to praise Ed and shake his hand etc. Mathew seems like a truly kind human being, the kind of person you'd love to meet and just talk about life with.
In Texas we do a lot of camping out (at least we who are all about the same age as Matthew), and we tell and listen to stories around the campfire...plus Texas Momma's teach their boys Southern Manners...you come to Texas and you still hear, Yes, No Ma'am...and Yes, No Sir.....😉🤗🤗
i love it when the big stars like Matthew, tom cruise are so gracious and extend their hands and shake strangers' hands first. it's such a nice gesture. they are not stuck up and super friendly, i find.
I noticed that too. Ed’s childhood friend came out and was a little shy and Matthew took the initiative to shake his hand. A small gesture perhaps, but a very nice one. :)
Ed, in a heartstring moment that also exemplified irony and genuineness: 1) Sang a song about his old friends back home when they were all young 2) Was stoked at being surprised by one his best childhood friends from back home when he showed up in the big red chair 3) Sat on Graham’s lap so he could see his old friend clearly on the monitor as he didn’t have his glasses on 4) Did NOT let Graham relegate his old friend to just the backstage area, insisting instead that he be allowed to come on stage and sit on the couch with them ❤️
You know.... some would say that's show business and it was set up... But ok. Remember Ed was shooting for number 2 in US and magically this happens, right? The illusion of truth is in the eye of the beholder. He is a great artist no doubt, but all of this is too much of a coincidence. Graham is a huge pay off for promotion, and to make people look way cooler than they are. That's how he makes money.
Fantasy, Wish List,....I dunno. My dream is to be invited to a party hosted by Graham Norton. He is a superb host and cute as a button. Almost every episode I watch is a new favorite episode. Haven't found anything comparable in the U.S.
Look at the 4 minute mark. Graham Norton literally starts an anecdote for Matthew McConaughey then prompts him with a simple gesture to continue to story. This is how hosts SHOULD do things! Other hosts I witness are always interrupting, fighting for the punchline or even completely telling the whole story themselves!
Spot on the money, he is the best host by a country mile & I like that he's always friendly to his guests & will tease them, by never employ a cheap shot or be nasty to get a rise out of them. Seems like a genuinely nice bloke & it comes across in the relationships with his guests.
With the right guests, the Graham Norton Show can be very good. Matthew McConaughey is very likeable and grounded. I hope that one day he writes about his family, they sound like fun.
I'm bummed they kept talking over Christina during the chatting, she'd try to interject and they'd either ignore her or talk at the same time and she wasn't loud enough to be heard. Wish she'd gotten more time to talk! She is absolutely adorable.
@@riendetout8812 It was a good episode. I enjoyed all the guests but I agree. She kind of got squeezed out here, especially when Josh was getting his word in.
My daughter looks exactly liker her, always has st every age, they are the same age too. Give me your opinion please. My daughter is an actor, singer, belly dance instructor, fitness trainer, RU-vid Amy Amierah
I love graham Norton. We have in the states several shows but they just all fall short of the quality your show exudes. Keep up the wonderful work and please know that you are very much appreciated and respected for your talent as a host.
The Graham Norton Show clearly has a fabulous research team; the noise Christina Ricci made (on a previous episode) when he produced her High School yearbook was a thing of beauty. The guests all seemed to have a great time, an all star cast, Ed Sheeran: meeting an old friend; after that song; inviting him on stage, what a great thing to do!
I have watched quite a number of his shows. This is by far the BEST, most genuine interaction I have seen. Icing on the cake........Celebs that I truly like and I am interested in. Loved every minute of it. Enough said. Going back to watch it again.. The song, the support, the back and forth. I soooo needed this positive good energy. Awsome!!!!!
The best couch ever, so relaxed guests, so natural, so authentic. Everyone gets along like all time friends. Merci for that moment Graham. You're THE man.
Still so sad that Ricci’s show “Z: The Beginning Of Everything” was cancelled after only one season. And AFTER it had initially been renewed by Amazon. But apparently the show runner was then fired and they couldn’t get the right show runner so they decided to cancel it instead. That show was SO good and had such potential, and Christina was great in it. The show had so much more of her story to tell and it was primed to really be something very special. It still pisses me off a little.
Awww... and I miss Ricci's fabulously stylish "Pan-Am" tv show, which was also cancelled after one season. It was really great, I have no idea why it was cancelled! :-(
Rebecca Hopkins.... Try a film called the 'Gathering.' British indie horror with Christina. Very adult, intelligent horror. She's a little gem of an Actress.
Yes, such a shame! Loved the series. I've always been fascinated with F. Scott Fitzgerald and this show gave another perspective on his writing. It's very believable that he took her writing as his own.
@@CRAIG5835 You, on the other hand, are utterly unique and original. Never before seen, nor shall we see your like again. The voice of a generation (of trolls). Just one quick question: if you don't like it, why are you watching it enough to bother commenting?
Alas Joe it appears you have trouble with comprehension but my post says I was gunna watch, (To simplify that means I was going to, later in the post I advised him to mix travel with sex and shove his show up to where his boyfriend shoves his bat.I commented because the woke movement and the 'Other' associated 'movements' I DEPLORE and also the agenda of those who financed and are pushing this un Godly agenda, trying to normalize having sex with children by burdening the population with the LGBTQ BS for an entree whilst slowly introducing movies and tv shows etc as cool, things that slowly but assuredly try to soften societies on this most revolting, life-ruining and heinous deviency.@@joeblow9661
I love the huge Lego kit story. When my nephew was very small I took him shopping for firework night. Before we went into the toy shop I told him he could have the biggest rocket they had, or a box of fireworks, but he had to decide now. I had a feeling his Mum and Dad had already bought all the standard sized fireworks he and his sister would want, but I didn't know how big the rocket would be. He had to walk it home like a shepherd's crook. It went on for ages. His sister was a lot younger and she watched from inside the house.
The director / star was awesome in that movie. Great acting, totally believed him, and I heard he was like a concentration camp director in how relentless he was - actually made Ricci say she'd never work with him again (but they remained friends). Give Gallo his respect! ;) But yes, Ricci was incredible (and SOOOOO beautiful) in that movie.
It's funny that Ed was like "I'm not well known in Japan" because I lived in Japan for a year, and I heard his music being played everywhere. I swear the one shopping centre had his album on repeat.
Ed, in a heartstring moment that also exemplified irony and genuineness: 1) Sang a song about his old friends back home when they were all young 2) Was stoked at being surprised by one his best childhood friends from back home when he showed up in the big red chair 3) Sat on Graham’s lap so he could see his old friend clearly on the monitor as he didn’t have his glasses on 4) Did NOT let Graham relegate his old friend to just the backstage area, insisting instead that he be allowed to come on stage and sit on the couch with them ❤️
I saw Ed Sheeran live last night, in mine and his hometown of Suffolk, and he opened with this song. Everyone who lives in Suffolk knows the roads, the castle and the memories he talks about, and I cannot lie, I bawled like a baby to hear him singing it back home. We love our boy, Ed :)
Just a pity he isn't any different than 90% of " celebrities " who can't just help themselves when it comes to politics, but at least he could see through Traitor May.
This couch doesn't have people who want to be famous. They just want to do their craft and be appreciated, but they aren't into the glitz and glamour of their industries. That's awesome. Christina really is a normal, quirky woman as well.
I've noticed that a lot of guests on the show who are not that famous or mainstream tend to have interesting personalities. Host encourages banter and conversation well which is key for a vibrant episode.
You can tell that Matthew is quite intrigued by Ed just completely getting rid of his phone for a year!. I got a feeling the book I'm reading now is probably gonna tell me that he has done this or is planning on trying it. I wish I could do that,.... I remember back in the day before cell phones wasn't that horrible at all.

@@cassandrathomas6015 I think theyre alluding to the nu wave feminist propaganda that tried to smear Ed because he makes music about his ex girl friends sometimes despite that they suck Taylor Swifts proverbial dick for doing the same thing
