Welcome to our Spotlight Sessions, a series dedicated to conversations with change-makers and people that have made an impact on the community of people with disabilities.
In this episode, we had the opportunity to speak with Christine Hemphill, the Founder and Managing Director of Open Inclusion. The organization is a global inclusive research agency that positively addresses disability and age-inclusion through broader and deeper authentic insights, participatory design and inclusive innovation.
Christine shared thoughts on the following topics:
1. The difference between intent and insight when designing products and services.
2. Why starting with qualitative research can help identify customer experiences.
3. How customer experiences of people with different access needs can help inform product designers.
4. Why access alone is insufficient to creating inclusive experiences, and how taking a new perspective can teach us more about humans as a whole
