Christmas Day 2023, I headed down to Ashford Parkrun to try my hand at their fast, flat and scenic 5km route.
The week before, I somehow ended up doing 100 miles of running in training so I was curious to see how fast I'd be able to go. Would a big week of training, directly before, limit by ability to go for it and run hard? I was about to find out.
