Timed 5k events is still a race 😂 that’s why the results are published… Parkrun was originally a time trial for serious runners but has changed to be a fun event for everyone but it is still a race let’s be honest it’s against yourself though that’s why the email always tells you your best time for the year and your course pb it doesn’t just say well done for finishing 😂. Confuses me why they deny the race element. Runs like the race for life I wouldn’t call a actually race as there’s no times or anything, in parkrun they even post when someone breaks a record on their Facebook pages, if it wasn’t important they would just ignore it all together. It’s also on run Britain so that makes it a race in my eyes.
