Hi Kandye, I learn something new each time you put up a video, this is my first time hearing of these decorations and wow how lovely, thank you. MERRY CHRISTMAS, BLESSINGS from🇦🇺❤️
Oh my goodness. I didn't know Putz were Moravian. I just knew they were German. I have my Mother's Woolworth's chalk-ware nativity set my Grand parents (German) bought her when she was 3 yrs old. (1940's) I love the animals. Great beginning to your collection. Thanks for sharing one of your home Christmas decor set ups. Loved it so much. Well done.
This was wonderful...I first learned about Putz villages when we lived near Winston Salem in the 1970"s....and a wonderful article in Early American Life magazine. I am looking forward to your tutorial on how to make cardboard Putz houses. Blessings from Illinois.
Oh I love it! It reminds me of something my icelandic grandparents would have made. I can’t wait to see the next video ❤ I pray you feel completely better soon
Your Putz display is beautiful and I love that the Nativity is at the center 😇 My Nativity is made out of tin 😊 I really enjoyed your video of how to make the Putz houses, and it’s got me thinking that I would like to make me a couple of those and a church! I love the church scenes this time of year! The flock of sheep are so cute!!! Have a Blessed day, Kandye.. it was so wonderful to see you! God bless!😊❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸🎄🎅😇
Thank you for another informative video. I have never heard of a Putz Village and my grandmother was German. My son gave me a nativity set for Christmas one year when he was about five. My Mom took him shopping so he could buy presents for Mom and Dad. I put it up every year. Now I'm going to make a Putz village to go with it.
I have a small display of animals and some buildings made out old barn wood, on my kitchen windowsill. Looking forward to the cabin tutorial. Love especially the donkey’s. Merry Christmas.
Hi Kandye, Merry Christmas! I love your little Putz houses, they are so cute. I just saw a few of them at an antique store here in Massachusetts, they were quite old and rather dented but still sweet! Can’t wait to learn how to make one! Hope you are having a lovely month and hope you feel better soon! 🏠🌲🌟
Thank you! Now I have the worst case of pink eye the Dr. said he's ever seen! I look like Quasimodo! No devotionals till my eye gets normal again, lol!
Be careful, saying it the wrong way means something very nasty in Yiddish! It's pronounced like our word put, like to put on a shelf, with the z at the end. Not put as in golfing!
I will be following this series. Im hoping my grandkids will help me craft these. (Btw the word putz with it sounding Uhts rather than the way this is pronounced in yiddish is not a very nice word. Lol.)
Be careful with the word putz, its a yiddish word that means what u said but it is also a very obscene slang word in yiddish. My mother once jokingly called an acquaintance that word and he happened to be jewish and he told her not to call anyone that and he told her exacrly what it meant. I will not even describe what it means for the sake of not being profane
