I have cut and worn a number of gowns patterned the way you cut the bed jacket. I did find that the underarm seam was the first to wear out. I found that the fabric would last a lot longer if I added a 3-inch wide gusset under the arms. That way the sleeve can move with you and be less likely to tear.
Sorry no, I never make my own. I order them from Samson historical or townsends. They're too fiddle for me and fairly inexpensive to buy, but I've had mine a long time.

You're right God sees you some of what you're going through has something to do with your the loss of your mother I have been there I've lost my husband my mother and my father this year and that was 4 years ago this year I've had to break up with my boyfriend of 5 years he's the only father my son knows so I understand where you're coming from the best thing I can tell you advice-wise is to remember Faith trust in the gut above listen to your spiritual playlist read the Bible or find a devotional that you like to do I that's what I do I got a devotional on my phone and I do a reminds me everyday three times a day to do that it only do it once a day but still with the spiritual music whether it's just instruments and I do my little devotional I am set. Control is obviously butt the number one advice I can give you is to remember Faith trust and the gut above that is something I have had to say several times a day drill it into my son's head because we have went through the ringer this year I am hanging on to this house by a thin thread I have this gut-wrenching feeling that I've got two years to get out of Alabama and over to where y'all are at cuz something is going to happen here and we need to be gone I don't know what it is I just know something's going to happen and my family needs to be gone I don't have a boyfriend to depend on anymore I'm all by myself this is the first time I've ever walked it alone I'm hitting my 40s this year I'm a little worried about that but I've had to work I've had to remind myself Faith trust in the God above we are okay

Thank you Kandye...I really needed this today. I was sick the entire month of July, covid and pneumonia . I'm feeling better, but it's a slow process. I questioned so many b times, Lord, why??? Now I understand that He is totally in control. With some things that have happened, I know He was actually protecting me. I wasn't listening to Him, so I was placed in a situation where I had no choice. My dad used to tell me "if you refuse to pay attention, He nay put you in a position where you have no choice" I firmly believe that's what happened. I have spent more time in His word, more time in prayer, and just talking to Him. I'm so thankful for your channel, and pray that God continues to bless you 🙏 ❤

This spoke from God’s mouth through you to my soul. This is everything I needed to hear and be reminded of. I’ve had some incredibly devastating years that had nothing to do with any choices that got us here. It’s easy to feel cursed or something. Also, after Covid our church changed completely. We tried a couple times but haven’t found a good church in our area- all rock concerts with “starbucks” inside and fluffy empty teaching- or legalistic cults- or dead little churches that are desperate for people to the point of being devoured on day one. We’ve given up finding a church- and this after many decades of going more than once every single weeks. I wish I had a friend as authentic and grounded as you. I’m in your age group and I’m home as caregiver for my grandchild full time. A weird place to be, that’s for sure. And exhausted, begging God to give me the strength and finances to do this! So many things in our lives lead us easily to give up completely. I’m trying to surrender versus give up haha! That only makes sense to someone who knows Jesus ❤😂 thank you for your transparency and willingness to share your heart!

I really like the info you have provided in your videos, however I have to say, when it comes to the added material on the bed gown, that would and is very uncomfortable, because most of larger gals have the NEED for more space/room in front. Iam trying your pattrrn with a 55" wide fabric to see if that helps in the correct places. Blessings
