So glad you showed us so much individual products and art in the different booths. Thanks for spending time doing that. Feel I was there, thank you! The ceilings in the indoor places was such gorgeous artwork. A fun day together at the Christmas market ❤️🎅🏼
Wonderful. So much love and happiness. That Bar was SPETTACOLARE and what a view. I'm hoping to come to Sicily soon. Where is the BEST Mercatino in Sicily??
Waaauaah.... Thanks so much!! Is the market there between Christmas and New Year? And do you buy any chance have the names of the different artists? especially the guy with the handmade jewelry in nature rocks.
At the one stand they are called, Dream Catchers. People hang them over their bed for good dreams. The North American Indians started this if I am not mistaken.
Actually they are called Dream Catchers and it's derived from a Native American Ojibwe indian tribe. They were placed over cradles or beds of the sick for protection. Ciao!
That t-shirt dialect writtens witness the funny folk sicilian spirit. "Ammucca lapuni" means roughly eating or swallowig bees. That is reffered to somebody who being so foolish, stupid believe any nonsense or lie one tell him. "semu pessi! " (we're lost) it means, roughly, we're in troubles, or we got the bottom (worst of trouble, problems) 😊😊 "Come finisci si cunta" (when will get the end, we'll can count it) it means we don't able to do forecast to the future, anyway, carry on, at the end (hopefully the destiny will be good) we'll can count it (to know what destiny will give us) "Occhiu vivu" look out, warning! "Tagghila" that grey hanged. It means "give it the rest!" You know guys, the sicilian dialect is plenty of folkness, funny and.... mostly culture!
