Yes fun to watch but nothing beats watching and feeling a top fuel car. Now outside of top alcohol, nitro, and sometimes promod, yes the majority of a nhra race is boring.

I was just thinking the same. Looks like Mullet’s hole shot is good. They need more power down the track.

I don’t think that’s what it was. Mullet was behind by 17mph at the 1/8th, but only 15mph at the end. If that’s just power, you would think he would win by 30mph at the end. I guess he could have lifted, but the 200mph trap speed is pretty consistent. I’m thinking it could be weight, gearing, or both.

@@alphazuluz it’s definitely engine mullet isn’t making much over 1500 when cars like sick second 1.0 are near 2500

You can see and hear the elco pull timing right as rick blew by it. They still need to work on the launch, it needs to bring the weight forward so it can keep pulling.

@@alphazuluz Yeah it wasn't just that mullet has less power to drag ratio but I think they turned the wheelie sensor cut back on and it pulled timing right before the 1/8th. Even if mullet didn't pull timing, I don't think it could have won, idk if mullet can trap 200 on its current setup.

I build custom tile Bathrooms. From the cement work to the finish work. I had this old timer once bring his "sittin chair" into the bathroom to watch me work. I guess hes had some bad people do some shit work before.. So for the 10 days I was rebuilding the bathroom he sat there. first 1/2 day he was quiet and I was thinking these 2 weeks are going to suck... around noon I told him he had to tell me stories if he was going to stay... holy crap that old veteran could talk... and I enjoyed working that job. I think he was sad when I finished. Nice old guy.

After the last race with Rick, they showed the slip; Mullet was faster to the 60 and the 330, but Rick was 17 mph faster and a tenth quicker to the 1/8. That tells the story. The very front is fine, but they aren't laying down the power soon enough.

George has a hell of a bracket truck on his hand, but I know he's itching for day that baby 4.8 blows and he can get some serious power in there.

to be fair, it's because they aren't trying, they've been trying to get Mullets launch dialled, then they're gonna work on the top end of the track, I think they're pretty close to being happy with the launch that they cam start working on top end.
