MY GARAGE UPDATE! New Cars and What's GOING/STAYING?

New cars are arriving in my collection, so what's going to make way? Hard to believe it has been 3 years of The Shmuseum already, but we are due a garage update, including some new cars here and what might be making way for the next Shmeemobiles. There's something coming VERY soon!
Visiting my garage, firstly, we have the Bussink GT Speedlegend - one of the 8, and the only Right Hand Drive example. However, there's a hitch with arranging the insurance to be able to actually drive it, so we need to see if that's going to become possible. Secondly, we have a short term loan of a Tesla Model 3 Performance which will be an interesting learning experiment of the Tesla Supercharger network.
There are also a number of absentees currently; including the Ford GT and Mustang Dark Horse which are out in Colorado - an adventure that's about to continue over there. The SLS Black Series has gone post-Mille Miglia to Topaz Detailing for some PPF refreshes before it then goes to Avantgarde for a full service and maintenance check-over. The Porsche 914 is of course with the team at ‪@yorkshirecarrestoration‬ and currently the MS-RT Transit Custom is off-site.
In terms of new arrivals, there's something about to land in the next video, plus a Ferrari right around the corner, and a new Team Car that we'll drop shortly. Not only that, but even more down the line, so a very exciting time, but it also means that space in the garage might become a premium.

This is what collecting is all about. Building the space and the collection over the years and taking time to share with everyone the plans for the future. The stories that goes along with it makes getting rid of things hard but thats part of the fun of it all.

*SUGGETION* : Hang a power array across the ceiling and have the charging leads on retractable spools hanging down. That way you're not tripping over cabling, and wont have leads dragging over the bodywork. You see the cables anyway, so seeing them from the ceiling wont be a big deal. Just a thought ...

Drop down chargers from the ceiling, with roll up cables would simplify some of your charging issues/mobility of movement around the garage. Just a thought. Thanks for the update garage looks AMAZING

Im a petrol head my self. BUT i have and use Tesla 3 Performance as a daily. If you can charge at home there is no better car for the money. Nothing comes close. You have a brand new car with warranty, with the speed and power that only x2 more expensive petrols can come close / match. And you have all the tech you can imagine. Power, tech, warranty, cheap to run. If you can charge it at home its a no brainer.

Raise the seating area about 1 metre, so it's a nice small raised platform.....ideal for chillout with a view over the cars......and storage underneath.

Your idea for another mezzanine like structure were the outer seating area could work if you keep it's footprint small and perhaps have a spiral staircase for it. heck even put some more of those Boards with the companies that you have on the Grand Stand. Plus with the TVR gone, a classic Mini could fit in that gap quite nicely and still have room to spare.

I would build the mezzanine floor, so you can relax and play game looking over the cars. With Halo bays underneath for your friends' cars with your cars in front, which will double the parking spaces over that side. Also cant wait for the new editions to arrive.

Tim you talk in this video about how to be able to have the cars on charge on the side the Ferraris are lined up and you are thinking how. I live in Sweden and when I went to Volvo and looked at new and used cars while my car was being serviced. Volvo had partly expanded and renovated the premises, where the demobilizers stand, the electricity has been drawn up to where the car will stand, the concrete has been milled out so that the electric cable can be pulled into it, and in front of where the car will stand, there is an electric roof that is embedded in the concrete after being cut out. When it is not in use, they put on a brass cover with a small hole in the edge to be able to open the lids when you need power. they put the charger under the front wheels so that only the cables to be plugged into the car are visible. Everything is discreet and neat and there is no risk of someone tripping over cables that run from the wall outlet to the car. When the place is empty, it is only visible when you walk close to the submerged socket with the lid on and it is level with the floor.

I vote for floor boxes disguised as e.g. drain covers with 240V outlets inside. Also, rather than a 2 post lift in your workshop, you already have quickjacks that can come & go, why not dig a pit? A modern pit with stairs at both ends & a proper steel deck over it when not in use combined with quickjacks to get the wheels off the ground would be a great low impact alternative (well... low impact once installed...).

Make sure you keep the dde sticker on the gumball rally for the next gumball event you do,you are also apart of dde since you drive supercars daily. They worked hard to get to that point

Tim, something to consider for the Ferraris and other vehicles that require electrical connection for charging. You can have pull-down power supplies suspended from the roof above each vehicle. Each cord can be set up on a bungee style cord. Any competent electrical installer can make appropriate recommendations.

Had thought about power for the row of cars opposite the lifts (actually a thought from an update video maybe a year ago). How bad would it be to store cars at a slight incline (with chocks to stop them rolling away or brakes seizing)? Could you ramp a section, just long enough for the cars, from floor level to about 6 inches? Then run power under from the back wall with outlets (mounted upside down) along the vertical face at the back of the ramp for trickle chargers etc?

Let’s unpack this. Coffee table is 100% a V8. Over 70% of his entire collection has been V8s (mainly due to Mercedes) New car? Tvr-he promised to update us. So it can’t be New Gt63 coupé?- doesn’t fit Tim’s typical flavor of car. But highly possible. Looking at the price of the car he might get the. New Aston Vantage- more his flavor and he has 2 older generation Astons. Only makes sense New G-wagon- he did promise a new one would join the collection at some point. Soo maybe🤷🏼‍♂️ Senna could be coming back? New Ferrari? He definitely put his name down for the 12 cylinder. That’s only coming next year or so. Maybe an 812? Although the would’ve been more excited since he’s wanted one for the past 7 years. Tim is not good at hiding excitement. 488 maybe? Pista? Speciale? He’s always had an interest in one of those. Can’t be a California/protofino, he’s getting the Roma. The new team car is probably the new Mercedes Benz E53. 🤔
