Christopher Daniels: Why WWE won't hire me, AJ Styles' WWE career so far, retiring in ROH, more

Holy shit he looks good for 48. Daniels is one of the best ever to never wrestle in WWE. Outstanding talent.

i'd say if WWE hired Christopher Daniels, he could be manager of The Ascension.

Daniels is the reason i get into the ring myself, the first Wrestler I ever saw on TV back in 2006 (in the glory days of TNA) when he was (in my opinion) the greatest character I have seen (other than the Undertaker), The Fallen Angel. his in ring ability is on another level, everything he does looks unique to him, even just his punches and the way he throws them, and things like the BME and Angels Wings still look so damn impressive. The fact he still has a broken bone in his neck! Such a top bloke, real kind and genuine, one day i hope to meet him, hell maybe even Wrestle him, but that's a long way away for me at the moment.

Man he deserves to perform in front of thousands for his work.

You know what they say never say never especially in wrestling like who'd of thought 10 years ago Eric Young, Bobby Roode, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura etc would all be in WWE? So then I wouldn't say that WWE wouldn't be interested in picking Daniels up and bringing him in and maybe they put him in NXT or maybe they put him straight onto the main roster but whatever he's a great world class wrestler who has proven he can hang some of the best in the world and some of the names I just mentioned. It's all about good timing and if WWE think it's the right time to get Daniels then I'm sure they wouldn't be stupid enough to pass up that opportunity.

The fact wwe never hired him is ridiculous too me. He is easily one of the best performers I have ever seen. Him and an styles vs hardy boys in a ladder match would be insane. Or his matches against his best friend aj styles were also amazing in TNA.

I don't think CD will make it to the main roster just because of age but he could easily perform in NXT

The most underrated wrestler ever to grace the ring. His technique is as good as Kurt Angle's. Everything done with such grace.

Everything he said about Styles is 100% accurate. I was so worried about him getting buried, but he's had some amazing matches and won the WWE Championship.

One of my favourite performers his matches with Joe and AJ was the best match I've ever seen.

I really hope WWE does hire him, but not as a wrestler. He has a theater degree, and cut one of the best scripted promos ever right before his match with Adam Cole. I'd love if he taught promo classes at NXT, or maybe even wrote for WWE. Boy could they use someone to really help some guys and girls out promo-wise.

Love him as the Fallen Angel gimmick on TNA but yeah Daniels & AJ has some of greatest matches on TNA Impact with Joe to. He still looks great for his age but him and AJ are best friends plus they both Godparent to each other kids. AJ is Christopher Daniels Godfather to his kids and AJ is Godfather to his kids to they both go way back.

this guy is one of the best wrestler in the world...sad that wwe is not signing him...he is one of very few guys who can give you five star match every week

Too bad he probably won't get a chance in the E, the only one of the elite of TNA who hasn't.

honestly it'd be such easy money for WWE to bring in Christopher Daniels at any age just to have one match with AJ Styles and then put him on an announce team. They'd kind of be fools not to. So yeah, in other words, probably not gonna happen.

Fun story: because AJ has a tradition to name every kid he has with a name that starts with A. That was the only reason he didn’t name one of his kids Daniel to honor his friend CD so he did by making it the middle name for one of his sons.

So long overdue for Christopher Daniels to become a World Champion in the wrestling industry! His ROH title is well deserved i'd say!

It is just my opinion (though others may agree) but I think Christopher Daniels has to go down as the greatest in-ring talent to have never worked for WWE. I first became aware of Christopher Daniels I guess in the 90's, not sure of the name, I think it was the UWA or UWF here in the UK, a very short-lived wrestling promotion with British Wrestling legend Mick McManus as it's commissioner. It's great to see that he is still wrestling, and honestly if it wasn't for the fact people have mentioned it, you would never think he was as old as he is. Christopher Daniels is truly one of the all-time greats

The Fallen Angel, I remember when Samosa Joe first joined TNA and Daniels, AJ and Joe had a great triple threat title match. It was a great rivalry for awhile. Best Moonsault Ever was a very cool finishing move.

WWE should have given him a chance. They brought in AJ Styles, and he ran the show for the next 2 years. I'm pretty sure CD could have done something similar. If they are willing to bring in Oldberg nonstop, then how can you call CD old?

Daniels is too old. WWE prefers younger guys that they can invest money in. He doesn't have a WWE history like the Dudleys.

Some of these older guys don't get the credit they deserve, just cause they haven't been in WWE. Its a shame that WWE is considered the bar. I like these 1 hour shows much better then the 2 and 3 hour shows. less talk more wrestling!

Always been a fan of Daniels. I usually typically wanna see guys go to WWE from the indies but Daniels is better off in ROH and retiring there. Your legacy is fine no matter if you never go to WWE.

Daniels is the man...and pretty much always has been! Good to finally see him get what he deserves!

I don't know why WWE wouldn't give a shot to a 47 y/o with 24 years in the business. What do the they say in WWE......"Never Say Never"! I also love the product ROH is putting out. I grew up with many differernt Wrestling shows on TV. And to this day, I watch all shows because they are different, but, based on the same basic principal. I don't know how any true fan would pigeon hole themselves as a WWE, TNA, ROH and Lucha fan?

Christopher Daniels barely looks 27, never mind 47! The hell is wrong with WWE?Quality guys like him and Al Snow could make the WWE soooo much better than it is.

So so so happy for him and Kazarian. I thought their promos in IMPACT were absolute gold let alone their ring work. I mean how could President ( at the time) Dixie Carter could not see the benefit of having pop cultural tie in's w/ Chris wearing Marvel shirts and foresee that he could have had a channel online about pop culture very similar to Austin Creed's (Xavier Woods) UP UP DOWN DOWN, which would have given more viewers and thus solid investment opportunities?

Why would Christopher Daniels want to go to WWE and have his career tank the way "He" tanked so many other wonderful talents? "He" is too busy forcing R. R. down the throats of wrestling fans to recognize and cultivate other, more talented people. Being in R.o.H. is Christopher Daniel's best way of thumbing his nose at "Him".

He wouldn't remember me, but I trained with a young Christopher Daniels(with hair) back in the early-mid 90's for Windy City Wrestling in Chicago.

WWF/WWE has had plenty of chances to hire Christopher Daniels. They never wanted him. Let's be honest. He was there as one of the Conquistadors and they would never put him under a contract. Just a guest star.

Come no WWE, you are are on pretty good terms with ROH-negotiate Daniels a one shot appearance at an NXT Takeover special. You did it for Jushin Liger, you did it Mickie James, Daniels deserves that star treatment.

WWE is dropping the ball by not bringing in Christopher Daniels, he could pull off a 5 star match as he has done in the past against A.J. Styles and could with Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, Nakamaura , Seth Rollins

I'm actually glad he didn't sign up with WWE. Because I feel if he had, we wouldn't have come to know the Christopher Daniels we know. He would have been another mid-carder One of the best wrestlers and one of the guys that put TNA on the map

King of the Indies no doubt. Shame he never got to come to the WWE. I could just imagine a year long or maybe longer IC Title run feuding with KO, Y2J, Rollins, Aries, Joe and maybe even AJ once again.

I mean c'mon, how wold was Flair when he was still wrestling? Sting just retired. Jericho is pushing 50 himself. Mae Young had a 'match' at 90. Just like Mark Henry I'm sure this guy has 'got a lot left in the tank'. too.

WWE signed DDP at 45 years old and Sting at 55. Sure they had big WCW careers beforehand and didn't wrestle with WWE long but still they did. I would love to see Christopher Daniels in WWE even if he's in his late 40's to early 50's. I would love to see him have just one run.
