It's telling the sad but optimistic truth of the creation of revolutionary technologies like the television. That's why the tone is kinda distorted in the beginning, hence messing up the first try, then the distorted sound stays and they fit it into the drop hence fixing the bugs. Either that or it just tells the story of the music video which is pretty much the same thing.
Now there are 412 and no dislikes. Not to jinx it or anything but I do enjoy this song immensely just like a large group of people who stumbled across this song do. :)
Can't shake away the feeling that the intro from Ain't no Mountain High Enough - Single Version by Diana Ross has been sampled in this song. Similarly to how Daft Punk would take snippets from different songs and twist them into something completely different and beautiful. Chrome Sparks is truly amazing.

Neither would make him less able to do his job, also i doubt the success or failure of an entire mission is based on a single employee, you have a LOT of safety measures and people looking for this kind of thing, if this guy fucked up he would just get fired. What happened was a disaster, plain and simple, you can't predict EVERYTHING.
