He did have good teacher(s). But what can those teachers do? For this kind of genius, it is better to just let them play and shine, don't you think so? Yes, there are some weird gliss in his playing, and some passages are seems too fast, but except this, it is full of beauties in his playing. You close your eyes, feel the music, and tears pour out...
sorry for the confusion as HippoNin had clarified, i meant that he seems a bit unfamiliar with the violin he is currently playing certainly not the instrument itself as i must say he is definitely one of the most proficient masters of the instrument today
he needs a good teacher this guy drifted into the oblivion of technical musicianship... sad in my oppinion. awesome to see such great playing though and lucky for those who like this style (like me)
so what that he makes gliss and different things? thank s god he is not like the other violinists which are already becoming boring to listen everybody plays the same way...and he doesn t,gitlis didn t it s like classical violinists are affraid of playing really the way they want ...i hate that really i do
hehe, you know who i am... i trully wish this kind of playing would make me cry, really, but it doesn't. What i mean by technical oblivion is that this guy is playing everything with "technical recepies". Be happy if you like it! But i get bored after 5 minutes. I underline- it is a matter of taste (or "tastlessness"). *my last coment*
