I would love him to do more masterclasses on Wieniawskis pieces, they are all full of emotions and are not in my opinion well appreciated and understood, mainly the concertos. I think he would offer an absolutely new view on this genius, that Wieniawski truly was.
the maestro's interpretation classes are a deep treasure trove for me, and his coaching violin soloists is a special niche: so far i've watched 3 (bach g sonata, i, beethoven c'to, i, and this wieniawski fantasie) and in all of them maestro's special note for the soloist is asking the soloist to walk out in their entrance and literally connect with the audience, literally walk into the audience, start playing and make eye-contact, a thing violin soloists are uniquely able to do--just watching this coaching changes my playing as a pianist: i can't get up off the bench, but i can connect...
I've attended one of his interpretation classes and they are much longer than in the videos, so they probably just couldn't find a clean spot to transition.
what did the lady in the question and answer part mean when she said that she couldnt hear the dissonance when she was at the piano but when she was in front of her she heard it and it effected her,,dissonance means disharmony, it dont make sence someome please explain this
Assuming you are serious, if it was a joke you are terrible at making them. Trust me sweetheart .. in the presence of greatness if you value your hair style so much rather than the freedom he was trying to bring to you .. your never going to be good enough Player to be on his masterclass so .. don't worry either way.
The master has a hair fetish. Zander is struggling to make the little girl go wild. Too many years of learning total control. For a proof that wild and control can live happily together watch any video of Jacky du Pre playing the cello.
Whenever I see negative comments about Zander it's perfectly clear that you do not understand his intentions. First of all you're calling it a masterclass, and he has repeatedly said that these are not masterclasses but interpretation classes. More emphasis on listening and less on wanting to be smarter than the masters.
