Been running boats 50 years and I can guaranty better then many of the book schooled captains. Unless you plan to try and make some $$$ there is little point to it. Never forget trying to teach a guy going for his 6 pack how to back down the 44 spt. fish I had ages ago. He never FULLY "got it," but he did get his license.
