@@MrLifeKills Harry Doyle: That's all we got, one goddamn hit? Assistant: You can't say goddamn on the air. Harry Doyle: Don't worry, nobody is listening anyway.
Steeler fan here. You can't help but love what is happening in Cleveland right now; those fans deserve a winner. It is going to be fun watching them get good again.
+Hooflung Poo From a fellow Browns fan, I appreciate your comments and our fans need to keep a couple things in mind: 1. It is fine to dislike a sports rival, but we've been so bad recently, WE have killed the great Browns-Steelers rivalry. It isn't their fault we've been so bad. And if you think an organization like Pittsburgh is going anywhere for long -- even after Ben eventually retires -- you're sadly mistaken. Sad fact is Baltimore replaced us as the Steelers biggest rival in the last 20 years. It is up to us to flip that back around. 2. When Art Modell cruelly ditched the city of Cleveland in 1995, the other NFL owners had to sign-off on the deal. They all did except for one -- Dan Rooney, owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers. When it really counted, Rooney stood up for Browns fans even if it couldn't prevent his inevitable departure. He voted AGAINST the move to Baltimore and cited the Browns great history and fans as the reason. I will always respect him and his family for that. I'm as excited as any Browns fan out there, but Steelers fans have done nothing but be a model franchise for the last few decades and we've been the opposite. Really, it is in the interest of BOTH teams for the other to be good. That is what makes rivalries. Thanks to Hooflung Poo for the kind words. Go Browns.
Falcons faithful here. I am conflicted because I was so pissed Chubbs did that to us. However, it couldn't have happened to a better guy and for a team that I feel not only needs these wins (small and large) but really deserves it. I wish yall the best of luck.
You know how lucky we are to have the voices we do calling our sports? Jim and diek, underwood and manning, ac and fred. Jim and doug remind me of drennan and tait from back in the day. Man we have the best.
Donovan and deiken are the best... they were good for so many BAD years , they deserve to call a winner and Baker gonna make it happen!!!! Go Browns!!!!
Number one-it's it funny to watch Jim get so excited while Doug keeps having this look on his face that says" I've been watching crap football for DECADES and I can't believe we may actually be good again! " Number two I can think of about 31 other football teams that must be thinking" we don't want any part of these mother effers in 2019!"
Jimmy is one of the greatest of all time. Browns football wouldn't be the same without him. How lucky are Clevelanders? Donovan and Hamilton...amazing. Best in the business.
Jim Donovan has been my voice of the Browns since I was 16yrs old & cld drive & listen on the radio. The 99' Couch hail marry call at NO Saints game was crazy! I almost wrecked my car lol
Jim Donovan, Nev Chandler, Tom Hamilton, Joe Tait! Cleveland radio sportscasters... The best there is, the best there was and the best there will ever be! 😤
Every time I watch this my eye start to water and i get get goose bumps. Bc I know this is real and I know the Browns are back and this is exciting to be a Browns fan! I lost my Dad in 1998 (48), I lost my Brother in 2016 (31). Both where die hard Browns fans. Wish they were here to see this! Freddie let's keep this ride going to the Super Bowl!
Shut off the sound on the TV and listen to Jim Donovan! I don't care if the timing is a little off.Best play by play in the business.my only complaint is when I listen to the game on the radio and watch on TV the radio is a little bit ahead of the TV.
download "Cleveland Football Radio, Scores" app by JJACR Apps, LLC (might be $1.99). There are six "Play Radio" buttons, usually #1 works. The signal routinely drops, even over wifi but closing then reopening fixes it. Best way to hear Jim Donovan and Doug (whenever he utters a word) if you're outside Browns radio broadcast area as I am. Go Browns!
@@fight4truthnowontwitter209 That would make it even more out of sync. The problem is that the radio play by play is about 7-8 seconds ahead of the TV feed. You'd instead need to pause the radio broadcast.
Jimmy Donovan is like me, jumping up and down, screaming at the game, getting excited. The other guy is like my grandpa; arms folded, cant tell what he's feeling with his facial expression; then when you watch sports with him, you see that small smile and a chuckle and you know hes loving watching his team win. Good on ya.
Cleveland is really blessed to have Jim. Every home game I bring a radio into the stadium and listen to the game and watch it in my seat. Best way to watch a Browns game.
Every now and then I come back to this video and wish we had this team still. We didn't make the playoffs that year but this team fought for every game and I loved it.
So much and passion and genuine enthusiasm he has with every call... then you got grandpa Dieken to balance him out, Donovan like a kid in a candy store next to him, fav part is him high giving browns fans out the window at the broncos game! Thank you Jim and Doug!
I'm just so happy to see Jim Donovan so happy. It's been a rough past 20 years. Great to see the man and the rest of us Browns fans have something to smile about.
No one deserves a Browns winning season than Jim Donovan. One of the best in the biz. I got the pleasure of meeting him once out and about and he couldn't have been nicer guy. Go Browns!
This man’s voice is permanently Imbedded in my brain. I hear it even when I don’t physically. If my childhood had a soundtrack it would be his voice and the guy from the Indians
This mans calls every Sunday shows every browns fans reactions this season. Been great hearing him call over such a great season! Onto the next dawg pound.
i worked with Jim Donovan and so glad his the voice of the browns, and my fave memory when i was in broadcasting school in 92 i was interning and working the press box at the old stadium and Doug came in asked me who i was and if i knew were his ashtray was
as a season - giants ticker holder - since 1957 (year my dad got them) and he was a browns fan, I became a browns fan in 1964 , and its gonna be great wearing my OBJ Cleveland Jersey to Giant Games - I may get beat up -but I fight back - #gobrowns
Jim Donovan is great but I've always thought it's his pairing with Doug Dieken that really makes the broadcasts great. Most color guys fight to speak with lots of hyperbole but Doug lets Jim do his thing then adds the perfect comment when the time is right. Many local color guys are over the top crazy but you can't do when paired with Donovan as it would be too much. Diek is like that firm hand on the tiller that keeps the broadcast grounded and I love listening to the way they call a game.
Broncos fan but this Jim Donovan is a great Announcer get him in HOF ASAP love his enthusiasm and NFL needs the live look in on Radio calls just seeing the reaction to a play is great
Doug and Jim man. Shame we lost Doug. The absolute best duo there was. Jim's over the top emotions, just like Merril from Philly, is so intoxicating. You can tell he really loves the Browns. And then there's Doug. Cool, concise, collected. No over stating words.
This is the first season in a LONG time I didn't want to end and can't wait for next year. It's going to be so much fun to watch. It'll be glorious. For 2019 the AFC East and NFC West vs AFC North. Plus 1 game from AFC West and South. The Browns are going to take the AFC North this year.
Is there a better play by play man in the National Football League than Jimmy Donovan? I’ve yet to hear one. Cleveland sports fans are blessed to have him and Tom Hamilton.
Doug Decan is like I'm super excited to Jim.Im almost moving in my seat. These two are a great mix.Sometimes I sense Doug thinking stop screaming in my ear
